Transnational Corporation Plc: Suspension in Trading of the Shares of Transnational Corporation Plc

Trading License Holders and the investing public are hereby notified that trading in the shares of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp or the Company) was suspended today, Thursday, 10 October 2024.

The suspension is necessary to prevent trading in the shares of Transcorp to enable the Company’s registrars and CSCS to reconcile their books for the listing of the reconstructed shares on Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) pursuant to a share capital reduction embarked upon by the Company.

The suspension is required for the purpose of determining the shareholders who are entitled to receive the reconstructed shares.

This is for your information and necessary action, please.

Is above a balanced writeup? Oando's major source of concern is the negative retained earnings, while Seplat's is over valuation. They didn't touch Aradel and Eterna.

With the spate of developments, acquisitions and upgrades in the sector, I doubt if its possible to predict future earnings of these oil and gas companies. Their analysis could be based on H1 results alone. It may therefore be too risky to make valuation on just that.
Let's just wait till year end.

They need details of the said $100 million paid to the lagos state government for the land. Dangote is not a party to the suit.

Mind you the law allows state governments to acquire individual lands for public purposes subject to certain conditions.

They might not also be legally able to pursur dang refinery on the issue of land because of certain limitation laws.
