REX Insurance Launches Digital Platforms for Motor Insurance Sales - THISDAYLIVE https://www.thisdaylive.com/2025/07/30/rex-insurance-launches-digital-platforms-for-motor-insurance-sales/
I heard the insurance companies that have met or can easily meet the new recapitalisation requirement are
Aiico, Mansard and Leadway for the composite Insurance . Then NEM, Cornerstone, Coronation(wapic) Custodian and Universal Insurance for the General insurance requirement.
But lead way is not listed on the exchange.

Pls DYOR.

Good morning house.

What stock do you advise between NAHCO and GTCO?

I have both in my portfolio already but I want to top up one of it looking at the current drop in prices.
When you see GTCO at 86 start buying.

Again I have been thinking:
If residential houses(owned and lived in by the owner/relations) and are not included as public buildings going by this definition of what constitute a public building.

If a landlord is to insure his building, just to bypass this compulsory insurance, the landlord could collude with his/her tenants to claim they are living there for free.(no payment or transaction).
More like a relative or Charity residence/philanthropy. undecided grin
Lol. It would be difficult to escape. Na the same tenant go burst landlord belle. Better insure and collect from rent. The effect is on the tenant at the end of the day.

I bought 500k of equity assurance during the last insurance consolidation for 1.50 per units. about 16 years later i was begging to sell and eventually sold for 20k. I vowed never to go close to insurance. I gambled 1M units of RoyalExchange early this month based on Loco hawking at 1.55k and came out today at 2.80k. Congratulations to the buyers. No regrets and pray not to look back again on insurance stock.
Loco have also located Japaul. Use that fundamental to grow the ministry.

The provision is for public buildings and not residential houses.

By public buildings; Government offices, shopping malls/Plazas, eateries, filling/Gas station etc

Na enforcement be the real thing.
When you read the law properly, you will realize the Act defined public buildings to include rental residential buildings which the act defined as PUBLIC ACCESS BUILDINGS. It further includes
buildings still under construction as long as the
said building is over two floors.

That Act wicked.

Forget about enforcement. There are many enforcers

You will see how state capital development agencies will rush this one.

FCDA etc will rush and make money from this one.

Janet dey call you grin
Lol. I don't think we understand the possible impact of the new insurance Act. Insurance companies are in money.

One provision I saw that convinced me on their prospects is the provision for compulsory insurance of buildings.

Every landlord must insure his building yearly.
Penalty is N1million or 12months imprisonment.

NAICOM is empowered to inspect and seal buildings not insured. (Rent go soon increase)

There are many other provisions and mandatory insurance of items that you cannot imagine.
But this property insurance is the real deal.
Every property in Nigeria. Na wa

Agba na because of you I enter Aiico and it has given good short term returns. If not for this your comment Na you I dey consider to give my 10% commission but I don't change my mind.

Access bank and UBA board have all approved interim dividends for q2. It seems the CBN forbearance issue and restriction of dividend payment and acquisitions no affect them.

They are being mischievous. If you go to the registrars yourself they will give the real requirement. You don't need share certificates. It's been phased out.

You can invest N10,000 in a stock and start earning dividends that will be paid into your bank account immediately, another person can invest N30 million in real estate and yet can't start earning rental income from it
It all depends. In 2017 I bought a piece of land in a place called Ohi in Imo state. I bought at the rate of 1.5million per plot. Today a plot at the same location is sold for N14million.
GTco is an exceptional case. If we go into exceptional cases, the examples we have for landed properties will sound unbelievable. There is a place they call southafrica in Ihiagwa in Imo state. They just discovered oil there and the land owners are being compensated. You will not want to hear what is on offer.
Forget rental income, it's not the real deal. Growing up in Jos, plateau state, I remember a friend who's father bought a property at Ahmadu Bello way back then for 15million. I don't think the man will sell that property today for anything less than N500million.

So after weeks on full bid and movement to N100, UACN started the backwards movement and is now at 74. Over 25% fall.

Why is it difficult to reclaim or recover a deceased person shares in Nigeria?
It is not that difficult. It is just expensive.
Letter of administration will take like 15% of the cost of the shares depending on the state.
Then you identify the particular registrar for each company and make the necessary applications and fees for confirmation of the Letter of admin.

Someone that bought Wapic Insurance in 2007 and never sold has been harmed!

From 2007 till 2025,Wapic Insurance has only paid dividend in 2016. Is this a successful company when compared to Zenith Bank or UBA?
If you look at the owners of wapic, you will understand why them no dey pay shishi.
Na the same pple that own wapic that also owns Access bank. They don't so much care about investors.

At the dot of 2:30, over 23million units of Aiico was distributed.
If I want buy insurance it's either Aiico or Mansard. The rest will need lots of research.

As soon as Royalex, Aiico, Mansard, and maybe --- start to get some offers, know that the end of the first half is near.
We need to have an idea of insurance companies that may survive this reform. Just like the soludo banking reform that transformed the sector, there will be casualties in the insurance sector. So beware of the company you are buying

How possible is this scenario. Can transaction which can only happen from cscs disappear from cscs statement. This sounds scary for us that don't check cscs statement after long time.We deal with brokers statement for many months unless for bonus when alloted
The transaction was on itrade platform. But the number of shares on CSCS did not tally. So either they debited me without buying or something I don't know happened.
I got to know when the reconstruction happened and my total number of shares did not tally

I sold some stocks on investment one app for about 3 days now, the order has been completed but the money is yet to reflect in my balance.

I sold because I want to enter a different stock but investment one is taking time to release the money to my balance.

Please investment one users here, is this how long it takes for sold stock to reflect in balance?
I'm just wondering how a 3rd party app like trove can be faster in sending money to balance for for stock repurchase than an actual broker.
What these brokers do these days. Your money will reflect after they have traded and profited from it. Your own is small. I have had occasions where shares purchased through Morgan disappeared totally. The customer care guy acknowledged the purchase but the shares were missing from my CSCS account. And he could not just explain why
