Many people think that Jehovah's witnesses are members of a cult. It is not true. We are not in a cult. Jesus Christ said that his followers should be no part of the world. True Christians do not follow the wayward practices of people who are inspired by Satan the devil.

Another accusation is that we are strict. No, we are not strict. We are free from the bondages of of tithing, second burial ceremony, unhealthy competition to buy the latest, unnecessary fame/Chieftaincy titles and hypocrisy.

We are encouraged to live a simple lifestyle. We are not in a competition with any body.

After reading most of the comments above, I need to make some things clear.

1 Jehovah's witnesses believe that there is only one true God Almighty. Jesus Christ is the son of God. We worship God. We pray to God through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not equal to God.

2. Jehovah's witnesses try their best to live by Bible standard. The weekly meetings are meant to remind all members about God's laws and Bible principles. We also learn how to preach and teach.

3. Not all who attends our meetings are Baptized witnesses. Some are just friends. If a baptized witness commits a serious sin and he/she is repentant, such one will be assisted to overcome the challenges by a few sessions of Bible study reminders and practical assignment of Bible reading and personal prayers to God Almighty.


4. Unrepentant and deliberate sinners are quarantined for some time, they will not be one of us until they personally come back to their senses and serve God sincerely.

5. It is true that some who profess to be witnesses are hypocrites. They secretly engaged in serious sins and still attend meetings and do the normal routine of preaching and teaching. Those ones have a dead conscience. God will definitely expose them in due time.

5. If you go to a church where anybody identity himself as the head, that is a business center. Christ is the head of the church. You can only have shepherds. These are older men who pattern the apostolic time.

5. Give God generously what you can afford. It could be your time, effort, talent, material possessions, money, yourself etc. It is not under obligation to give a certain percentage. It is a scam.

6. If anybody should read Malachi to you, tell him he is selfish and a fake minister. They will even scare you that if you don't pay, you will not have God's blessing. Tell him thank you. God does not consult any pastor to check their list before sending out His blessings.

7. If you want to go ahead to keep on paying the pastors for doing the work of twisting the scriptures and performing fake magic / miracle, please go ahead but don't condemn those who had seen the light. Alot of people may not understand deeply. Parents are different. While i was still huzzling b4 i got married, i got an info tru my sister that my mum was so sick and cant walk, i felt her pain so even despite we are not talking, i rushed to the house to see her, bought her some drug and left, she neva cal afterward to even appreciate. During my mariage introduction she was not in lagos, Before my wedding i took wine and my wife to be and my wedding card to meet her at home, yet she dnt come even after some begging from family members. A year after my wedding she was sick again terribly and my sister called me cox no money to admit her in d hospital, since my wife is a nurse, i have be sending my wife to go treat her every day till she was ok, yet she dnt even call to say thank you till date. She dnt pay a single penny from my year 1 in the university till i graduated, am not upset on that cox she dnt hav cox we were so poor after my dads death, i did my entire primary school in the village cox of the level of poverty and she cnt train us. I dnt and can never hate my mum. Early this year i had a terrible accident when coming back from work, when she heard the news she said ''thats good for pikin way no day hear word''.
