People are not fools when they hear someone with the title consultant they ll quickly conclude that he or she is a doctor. So you know that there are other professionals in the health sector that hold a PhD?

Also, why are people not going to meet a consultant Engineer to ask for medical help. People are knowledgeable to know that the title consultant simply means speaciality in ones field.

In the UK I have seen a nurse consultant working with other GPs(check the programme doctors behind closed doors on youtube).
I think we should try to read wide by simply using our available devices like smart phones etc.

The title consultant will not cause any problem. What I have come to realised is that Nigerian medical doctors don't want others to progress in their field, and if they have the power they ll abolished pple with PhD from using the title Dr.

Shameful rant. Ur PHD has no place in the hospital setting. Even a Medical Doctor who goes to do Masters in Internal Medicine is not recognised in clinical practice.

The Consultant Pharmacist abroad is not the same in Nigeria. If u get to level 15, u automatically are given consultant pharmacist with the new Memo shown with proof. Consultant pharmacist in the UK specialize in a particular branch, earn a PHD there and become advocates and guard of safe standards in that aspect eg Oncology. So a hard working 32yrs old can become a Consultant. The one here is saying if u get old in the service and attain level 17 then u are a full Consultant pharmacist, do they look the same. What about internship after BSC Nursing is that best international practice too. Very big shame.

I weep for this Country. Consultancy for what?, for getting old and close to retirement. Patients will be further Decieved and will die like fowls. A Pharmacist sees a naïve patients, instead of claiming to be a pharmacist, will say I am a consultant, the gullible patient, thinking he means medical specialist may end that session is morbidity or mortality. Shame really, but we are in a confirmed shit hole though.

For starters, She's arguably Nigeria's numero uno OAP. She was on radio so much during the pregnancy no one could tell if she ever took a leave to concentrate on her child birth.
2. It's no news that she loves her cocktails. She even pokes fun at herself about sneaking 1 or 2 while pregnant. This is clearly a breach of doctor's advice.
3. You claim it's superstitious to blame it on the grand announcement at Banky's engagement. May I remind you she's from the Oniru dynasty. We all know how competitive and fetish polygamous families are.

Now my advice.
Motherhood is sacred.Treat child birth as a sacred responsibility. Obey all your doctor's instructions. Clearly abstain from every abuse of drugs and alcohol. Cut down on your social life atleast till after safe child delivery. Most importantly, seek Christ in all you do. Not just for safe delivery but to renew your relationship with Him.
I wish she would get it right this time. She's one of my biggest crushes and deserves happiness in all facets of her life. I wish her the best and pray God's Grace finds her.

Why bring up the same salary scale with CONMESS?,Everyone is important, but everyone can't be the same. You don't have the same training and the same level of difficulty. Enjoy ur profession, but bringing up the Conhess scale to be the same as Conmess scale is pure evil.

I repeat no drug is produced in Nigeria, we only re-package imported drugs. That said, pharmacist are mainly drug dispensers and mixers and don't necessarily produce drugs.

Ur ignorance is appalling. A pharmacist consultant in the UK can be 35yrs old, and he does not necessarily work in the hospital. He also maybe an advocate for safer drugs in Oncology etc. The one approve in Nigeria say of u are Level 15 you are assistant Consultant, 16 Deputy and 17 Consultant. Does those 2 scenarios sound the same? We are all smart, stop lying to the public.

They are not in any way my friends and I watch them on Facebook bashing my profession and call us greedy, when they know their story. I have been kind enuf never to write on their pages to ask if they never applied for Medicine. When people can't attain something they bash it. I have seen seen people with lab science and medicine degree, all go on to work as Medical doctors and not the other way round. Same with Nurses. If there's no superiority why don't they continue to work in the Labs or as nurses. Peace to u jare!

When I we needed to get into school. We were 5 friends. For reasons best known to God I was quite brighter, but we all wanted to do medicine. 2 went on to to Zoology, 1 ended up in Nursing after jonsing in his pre-degree course and another did Lab science, yours faithfully was close to 1st 50 in that program of nearly a thousand and became a doctor. I switch on to Facebook and I see this dude getting nurse leadership award and ranting about health awareness everywhere, he also talks about equity and justice, and I wonder where the problem comes from. U where too dumb to pass pre-degree and now u are smart enuf to ask for equal pay? Judgement day is coming and no Johesu member will be spared.

Who is foolish here. Nurses are doing internship as a must now for all graduate nurses. Which other country has that model in the whole world. What is nursing internship? If u want to work as a nurse in UK, US or Canada, are u asked for nursing internship form. We claim we want best international practice , but its actually best reaping where I did not sow practice. We need a overhaul, in fact we really don't. What are doctors doing in this shit hole?

I ask myself that are these doctors aware that all it takes to get them out of this hellhole is to just take a board exam and apply for visa to a first world country where they will get better pay and less workload? I still wonder too why doctors who are extremely smart remain in this shithole. Someone said most politicians running to the UK get there and end up seeing the same Nigerian GP they are running away from. But this time they pay heavily to access them. To young doctors, run away from this shit hole. Consultancy has been approved for Pharmacist, and the question is after heavy, tasking, excruciating residency with a lost social life and and injure psychology, one profession think getting to a certain level in Civil service gives them the right to become consultant and earn the same pay with those who have laid down their lives, youth and pleasure so others can be safe.

It's stupidity to ban codiene in the first place. What we should actually do is to strengthen our system. Codiene is a pharmacologically useful drugs and measure should be put in place to make sure prescription drugs are truly left as prescription drugs. The so called Johesu pharmacists fighting for false sanity and ugly equity in the health sector are culprits here. They should be arrested and their kiosk, which doubles as death houses closed. It's regulations are made these drugs dispensed inappropriately by pharmacist would not become a social menace. We know the truth but will never apply it. Nigeria is seconds to being doomed.

If you want to explore London for a month then get yourself an oyster and load one month credit into it which will cost you £81.50, you can use it for both train and bus, a single trip on bus will take away £1.50 from your oyster card while train is considerably more.

If you are not going to be cooking then budget around £30 daily on food(depending on your eating habit)

After d PLAB exam, u can start ur GMC registration while in d UK but still need to wait for d result and some documentation from Nigeria and you won't just be able to practise in d UK straight away even when u pass d PLAB 2.

You can't also switch to a tier 2 visa from visitors while in d UK, so you still have to go back.

You can start a residency programme in d UK once u r settled in, I advise one step a time.

Come for PLAB, Start ur GMC registration look for an approved sponsor and follow all d steps in procuring a visa.

Congrats. I will be visiting London for a month. How much would I need to survive a full month there. Any tips to make feeding cheaper?, can I chyke any babe I see without being arrested?

This year I have decided to explore with my leave. Rather than stay home doing nothing, I have decided to explore London for a full month. I will live there like a Londoner for that time and forget Naija hustle.

As a guyman, I definitely will not be staying in a hotel. I have explored AIRBnB and seen impressive rates.

My questions are how much do budget to explore the city for that period on a strict budget. What are the tips to spends less. And how much may I likely spend on average. On a lighter note are there babes and any tips to catch not so expensive ones.

his nurses too aren't graduate, he train nurses well in his hospital too FYI and they deliver well..

Doctors shortage in Sweden, in UK and US. Show me any article on lab scientist or pharmacist shortage. FYI it's only in Nigeria we do things stupidly, no other country in the world runs nursing for 5yrs. Most or 3 and max 4yrs, even lab science. Nigeria only increase the years so that these semiprofessionals can ask for a high entry point at work, as those long years are baseless. There is no nursing shortage anywhere. In the USA even Accountants do a 6months to 1 year course and become nurses. Ask Dekunle Fuji, Reginia Askia etc, because it's a semi skilled labour.

Today in Eku, Johesu rushed into the hospital, pursued all the patients and Doctors and put the hospital under lock and keys. Is that part of the greedy strike too. If u were that indespensible, stay at home, not come to the hospital to lock the place up, it's not ur property.

Lab scientist are mostly touts, nurses are mostly uneducated, and pharmacists are respected professionals mingling with hoodlums and de-educating themselves.

It's a shame, but that's were we find ourselves.

There is a cry for doctors shortage in UK, sweden, Germany, and UAE. Have ever wondered why there's no such cry for lab scientist and pharmacists. Do the maths, Doctors are the most important in the equation in the health sector and they'll always be in high demand the world over. Thats just how the life is, nothing will change it. If anyone hates it, then go back to school and study Medicine.
