I lost my aunt on Thursday morning because she couldn't be readmitted into UBTH due to the strike.

God punish nigerian government.

I'm fucking sick and tired of this country.

I can't take it anymore. The straw has broken the camel's back, once travel restrictions are lifted, i need to get out of this jungle or quit medicine.

My exams were cancelled due to COVID 19.

God forbid i do residency in nigeria. I can't raise a family here.

Thank God something good came out of it this time.

I'm angry and sad and crying at the same time.

I'm just tired, I'm happy for them but can't be happy.

Really sorry to hear about the loss of ur Aunty.

We spoke about the system for a long time, but people thought we hated Doctors. The country is not safe for medical and health care professionals. Most Doctors leave naija only to discover that they weren't really practicing medicine.

I don't know how far you are in your journey, but if you can, dont pitch your tent in Naija. In the UK there are far too many Nigerian professionals rejoicing every day for making taking that step to leave naija. Try and expedite this step too.

grin With 500k you dont deserve a car yet. I bought a care for exactly 550k, and it was not a very good decision then. A 500k car could make you broker than you were when you bought it. However 500k is a great start if you want to make massive increase.

Africas biggest problem is poverty, followed understandably with hunger. These are far bigger problem than the wuhan virus.

Life expectancy on the average in Africa may stand at just 55, so we dont expect so much death from corona virus which is far more deadly for those above 65yrs. Europe off course has an aging population with their life expectancy rising up till 86yrs.

So corona has nothing on us

Very true. I decided to do my worst and not to send anyone for the past 7months, and I was surprised how much I saved.

More surprising was the fact that no one died or was homeless from me not sending any money to them

Your only problem is lack of problem.

Pick urself up and start making real progress.

There is no progress in smooching a lady and going to hell, instead of banging a girl silly and going to the same hell.

When i was in the world I banged the hell out of ladies, as it was more profitable that touching and feeling guilty.

However it all it leads to destruction. Trust me, as I am more than a decade older than your are

If you must choose heaven, then make that move, and avoid trouble.

Tomorrow will be better

I know people there and been there .. you either love it or hate it. On the positive it is cheap to live in, its close to York and Leeds. If you're looking to live here, there are surrounding places such as Willerby and Beverley. Kingswood is a good development (quite and lovely) which seem to be separated from town as it's got all the amenities you can live with ... if you want Nigerian food, there is a place for this.

Private schools for kids are available ... both church run and proper private school. If you don't mind the smell around some parts of it then it's cheap enough in terms of living ... jobs might be a bit hard unless you're a doctor, lecturer but tbh you can work in leeds or york and still live a good life.

So professors should take home 5billion per month ryt? Even those who kept doing masters, PHD etc because of lack of job too. Payment should be based on the economy, the effort put in, time spent, and not on big titles.

Abeg, no host am for your house oooo. Instead, pay for his hotel bills and pretend to be out of town. The dude is an enemy of progress.

He owes no man anything. Why pay his hotel bill. He should simply tell the dude that he is not available to or he is very occupied at the time.

Best friends or closest friends as some people term it is quite normal in the life of 80% of world population, I had one too.

We grew up as teens together, matured as adults together, he came to our house always and ate all his meals with us. My mom was really nice to him when she was alive. He wore my clothes and never returned them. I did not ask because my parents always provided for me although they were average citizens.

Then the worst thing in my life happened. I lost both my parents within the space of four years.
Things turned downhill for me (orphans do suffer a lot.. Too much suffering for you to believe there is even God in heaven who takes care of the fatherless and motherless).

My friend travelled to an African country. He kept telling me to come over there to work that things are better there. I kept declining but after a year of constant pressure, I decided to man up, packed my bags and travelled to meet him.

Guess what? I did not stay up to 5 days with him!!!

His attitude changed by the second day, he yells at me at every given opportunity, from his best friend, I turned to his boy, the heat he was given me was so bad that when he leaves the house and he comes back, I get scared just by hearing his footsteps. I virtually turned to a nonentity to him. I had no money on me because the little I had left, he collected it when I arrived. I knew no one, I felt so miserable and alone and I started regretting why I left Nigeria.

On the fifth day ,I woke up early in the morning and shook him up. I don’t know what got into me (but I am glad it did), I told him I can’t stay with him anymore and I want to leave. He did not even feel bad about this, he did not think of the fact that I know nothing and nowhere in this country. He let me go.

I packed my bag amid tears and went into the street. Mind you, I had no one to call back in Nigeria... It was tough on me but as a naija guy and as God will have it, I did not spend even a night on the streets. I was shocked that a total stranger took me in, clothed and fed me. He taught me everything he knows. I worked for 6 months and was able to make 2 million Naira. This was like a dream to me (If you get money ehn, to praise God Dey sweet o)

I came back to Nigeria, rented an apartment, furnished it and continued working from here.

This so called best friend of mine saw my posts and pictures on Facebook and video called me to check on me (I guess his eyes did not believe what he was seeing) he asked me if I am in a hotel, I said no, I am in my apartment. He was shocked (me I nor keep any grudge against you) he told me he was coming to Nigeria and that I should please forgive him and forget everything that happened. I told him I can forgive but can’t forget.

What surprised me most are this exact words he said “my guy, if I come, na your house I go relax first abeg”

Now my fellow Nairalanders, I am asking, how should I go about this?

I have forgiven him but should I allow him into my home?

No. All my attempt at best friends failed. Short story

I was always first in secondary school, and at worst 3rd position, and my so called best friend was jealous of me. When my JSCE results came out my own best friend told me I failed woefully, when I had in fact picked all As. That was the end of our friendship.

In the University, I had a set back. My best friend started working before me. When i discovered he was serving close to where i lived i buzzed him up to check on him, probably he could dash me some change. He totally blanked me, and never sort anyway to see me for a whole year. Probably because he was now successful. But we were like brothers before the fame.

I have learnt the hard way that people don't necessarily take us the way we take them. And that it's best to forge on in life without grudges, but keep a safe distance from having any emotional attachment with any man.

A chap stayed with me without paying rent. He was processing IELTs to travel, but I didnt know, which is no problem at all. He ate my food, slept on my bed, and did his graduation party at my place without paying a single rent. He even did his graduation party in my house. He served and travelled out, only reaching out to me once. He then changed numbers and I never could reach him. When I saw his post on FB, I left a comment for him to inbox me his number but he never did, probably because he was abroad and i will be a liability.

Life continues

No travel history.

I normally find that first question funny. How do we identify someone that is positive? Nigeria is exposed already and many people have the virus walking around you.

Yes Short Breath happens whether sitting or walking.

I'll look out for the oxygen devicetest .

Thanks a lot bro.

No problem. I hope you get well soon

How can i get admitted by NCDC? my short breath seems to be getting worse

Any contact with someone with covid?, any travel history? Any cough or fever, is the shortness of breath both when you sit and when you walk?, and hope it's not out of panic also? Also if you use a good device worth checking your observations and oxygen saturation just to make sure you are not significantly I'll already.

If you feel worried at all and unable to cope with your symptoms, it's best you give NCDC a ring and follow their advice. I am not so sure how it plays out with them I am afraid. However worth giving them a call.

I just called the NCDC toll free number... They said they won't get me test just like that... They said what I had is a minor that since I'm not feeling sick that I don't need to go to NCDC for a Corona virus test... They said I should just go to the mnormal hospital for a medical check up.

Please dont go to any hospital as these could be mild covid symptoms, and going into a hospital may help spread the infection. Rather if you are not short of breath, and having to high fever, then do self isolate for 1week. Ensure you keep your distance from close members of your household, and ideally they should self isolate also for 2weeks, or for 1week from when they start experiencing symptoms themselves.

Loss of taste and smell at this critical period is covid until proven otherwise.

I just school you on how not to be petty, Go enjoy your S8 plus come S7 edge.

Moreover no one asked for your opinion on what the f**k you bought. Why tarnish other people's brand just to get likes and share. To me you are just like other designers who started designing Inosson Logo after Farouq was choosen, you keep looking for a bull in a Chinese shop. Like I said, earlier crawl back to hole you came from before I cast you with the swine into the sea. Well, that thinking might be far from you cus it's top of the shelf

This is where real education is; passing your message without undermining the other person's opinion.

I personally bought at least 2 Umidigi devices and gifted one to a brother so I know the premise on which I stand. Not forgetting one, the best one, was also bought for me by my very kind wife. The first device didn't allow me use it's front camera from the first day I unboxed it, till the day I discarded it. The device also kept disconnecting from my work wifi making it a stress for my boss to sign me out after my job. Great device for starters but with the stress it caused me every single time I needed to sign out, I stand on good grounds to celebrate my upgrade without any one railing expletives, vile, unholy and uncouth words at me.

The gifted device is not left out. An incoming call would not show on the home screen after just 2 weeks of use, and google search would connect randomly on google despite good internet.

Is there any hope for Umidigi? Yes. That's why I keep buying every of their new flagship hoping the next would hit bulls eye. The F2 is already in the pipeline for me.

Note carefully that I didn't throw shades at any other Umidigi device but the A3 pro. It remains a dangerous device and no damning words can skew my narrative of it. 3 attempts at redeeming itself justifies me as patient already. Deep down in the heart of those putting the device up for sale on this forum, they know it's demerit, but choose to stay mute so as to probably do away with it

Let's be more liberal with our lives, more intentional with our words, and more calm about material things that fizzle away quickly. Maybe our life expectancy which has shrinked to less than 55 can peak again.

Best wishes

This is the problem with the third world. We feel our strength lie in being rude, uncouth, violent and abusive. One day things will be well with Nigeria, and her people will value peace, truth and quietness, and all the Umidigi A 3 pro users shouting and fighting along Oshodi and Mushin will go hoarse and give quiet a chance. Stay well
