Tecno has been guilty of releasing the same device with same specs under different names but no unique selling point. The Phantom Z Mini could be different. as it's is an almost compact model of the Phantom Z.

Life has really moved on from Windows XP; the windows 10 looks like a unification of the Windows 7 and Windows 8 with the return of the star menu. Windows 10 would work across all platforms.

Microsoft has windows for PCs and Desktops, Windows Phones for cellphones and Xbox for its gaming console. But the Redmond Giant is set to make all device under its tentacle to use one platform - the Windows10 and one Windows Store which would make the same application work for all device.

In recent weeks, the InnJoo i1S and the Infinix Zero (Infinix Zero X506) has been a subject of interest to Android smartphone, Potential Android users and other smartphone users Alike.

Both the Innjoo i1s and Infinix Zero come at a time when users needed a much needed break from low end smartphones with dated Android OS or over-board expensive Android smartphones with Android Kitkat OS. Both devices are from different manufacturers but both device run Android 4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box, 5-inch sized display, Dual-SIM support, 3G connectivity and are in the affordable price category range.

Quick Rundown of Spec details and Pricing
The Infinix Zero (Infinix Zero X506) is the first Android 4.4 Kitkat OS smartphone from the company and also is the flagship smartphone for the year 2014 for the company. Whilst Infinix has already been a player in the Nigerian market, Innjoo is new to the Nigerian Ecosystem and the Innjoo i1s is the first smartphones from the Arab Emirates company to be available in Nigeria.

The Innjoo i1s and Infinix Zero both sport a 5-inch sized display; whilst the former uses a Quad-core MediaTek processor, the latter uses an octa-core MediaTek processor. The Innjoo i1s rocks 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal storage while the Infinix Zero is available in two storage variants – 1GB of RAM to go along with the 8GB internal storage model and 2GB of RAM to go along with the 16GB internal storage option.

The Innjoo i1s features a 5MP rear camera & front VGA camera; while the Infinix Zero sports a 13MP front camera & 2MP front camera. Both devices support standard connectivity options including 3G but no 4G LTE yet (that’s understandable, not many are around here currently).

One major fall and complain about each device is the battery, the Innjoo i1s sports a 1900mAh and the Infinix Zero sports a 1920mAh battery. Users just have to make do by getting a power bank to add more firepower to the device. At a retail price of ₦13,999 you can get your hand on the InnJoo i1s and the Infinix Zero is priced at a retail price of ₦20,900 for the 1GB RaM/8GB internal storage model and ₦23,900 for the 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage model.

Both devices offer Android 4.4 Kitkat OS smartphones with basic mid range specs and features. Considering the number at which the reviews are coming in, it won’t be long before we know the total amount the devices sold in the market. Are you still considering getting the InnJoo i1s or the Infinix Zero Soon? Or you have already gotten yours.

If you took time out to read the post, you wouldn't have jumped to a conclusion. The SDXC card is not for the common user, its for Pros which shoot videos or photographers - the Clarence Peters or Kelechi Amadi Obis who shoot in 4K Ultra HD format.

PS: Phones currently use a microSD card between 512MB and 128GB.
PhonesRe: Megapixels Are So Overrated: Thanks To The iPhone 6 by mrcassanova(m): 2:29am On Sep 22, 2014
Judging a camera by its pixel is so Outdated But. Note my But iFixit tore down the iPhone 6 and iphone 6 Plus revealing 1GB of RAM. So far so good, Apple has always been able to create phone which rather than rely on specs relies on joint features customisation.

Comparing the iPhone 6's camera or battery with other Android devices is suicidal. Comparing Megapixels on Android devices is still forseeable as you cannot compare the output from HTC's UltraPixel camera with a Tecno's 8MP camera.

Just my take tho.

PhonesRe: Microsoft To Dump Nokia And Windows Phone Brands by mrcassanova(m): 10:08am On Sep 13, 2014
olukenzo: Nokia shot themselves in the foot. At that time they were going to bed with MS, another division would have done android, even AOSP. It would have been Nokia's hardware might + Google's innovative OS. The company would still have been thriving today.

One other thing I think is hindering some of their products out there now is the hardware design. Which serious minded person buys a red, yellow, green phone? And a square-ish one at that. Even Tecno knows better than making toyish looking phones.
I agree with shooting themselves inthe foot aspect.
PhonesRe: Microsoft To Dump Nokia And Windows Phone Brands by mrcassanova(m): 10:07am On Sep 13, 2014
vowiski: Google acquired Motorola for $12b and sold to Lenovo for $2b, isn't that bad business practice? That's what earned the Motorola deal, Google's worse business deal..
its bad business in terms of the deal but Google didn't kill the Motorola brand - the Moto X and Moto G areliving testimonies.
PhonesRe: Microsoft To Dump Nokia And Windows Phone Brands by mrcassanova(m): 8:43am On Sep 13, 2014
vowiski: That's not entirely true. Accepting Windows Phone OS as its primary OS was the best option for Nokia at that time, considering the fact that it came with a $1B prize from Microsoft and Android was no where future-proof.

Even Google was disappointed after making the biggest business blunder in their history, acquiring Motorola for $12B to propel Android to the next level. It was Samsung, out of no-where who pushed the Android OS to where it is today. The South Korea Company accounts for nearly 70% of the entire Android market-share.

So, I still think it was purely business on the path of Nokia, a big brand forming alliance with the biggest tech company in the world. No one would have predicted the fall of Nokia by that standard, but again... Business is all about risk. Some you succeed and others you fail. Life moves on.
Google acquired Motorola and sold it to Lenovo, even though the acquisition is yet to be fully completed. Google's Android is free for any platform, only this year microsoft dropped the price it asks OEM to pay. Am not really concerned about Microsoft and Google, I am concerned Nokia took that path and ended up being acquired by Microsoft. Since the Microsoft WP Os has been announced, it has failed to attract the much anticipated hype. Samsung took Android to another level, but that OS is still the one to beat.
PhonesRe: Microsoft To Dump Nokia And Windows Phone Brands by mrcassanova(m): 7:02am On Sep 13, 2014
If Nokia had opted for Android OS when it dropped Symbian their mobile arm would still be very much functional now. Nokia jumped ship to windows phone and here they are today.

LG Electronics Inc. (KRX:066570) is taking a stab at an infrequently used feature for its upcoming smartphone. Its latest LG G3 model will come with a stylus.

The Korean manufacturer announced the LG G3 Stylus on its website on Tuesday and said it plans to showcase the device at the IFA Expo in Berlin in September. Following the success of its LG G3 flagship smartphone, LG has launched several other devices under the brand at different price points.

Specifications for the LG G3 Stylus put it firmly in the mid-range market. The device includes a low-resolution, 5.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) and a low-power 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor. Memory capacities include 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with MicroSD support. The LG G3 Stylus does have some higher-end features, including a 13-megapixel main camera and a 3,000mAh removable battery; lower-end specs with a more powerful battery could account for a decent battery life on the smartphone.

The LG G3 Stylus will run the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, will be available for 3G mobile networks, and will come in black, while and gold color options. Its software features include QuickMemo+, Dual Window, Smart Keyboard, Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot and Knock Code.

A September launch will put the LG G3 Stylus up against Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, which is the leading stylus-accompanied smartphone on the market. However, the devices won’t be direct competitors, as the Galaxy Note 4 will be priced for the premium market while the LG G3 Stylus will cater to emerging markets. LG's President and CEO Jong-Seok Park described the LG G3 Stylus as a device for those who don’t want to be “bogged down carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone.” The device will debut in Brazil and will launch in Asia, the Middle East and Africa later. The LG G3 Stylus isn't expected to be available in the U.S.

https://thegadgetsfreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Galaxy-Alpha.jpg

There will be no shared spotlight at IFA then, Samsung unveiled the premium Samsung Galaxy Alpha weeks before the scheduled Galaxy Note 4 announcement.

The premium device has a metal frame exposed on the sides and a faux leather back similar to the Galaxy S5. The Galaxy Alpha is a preemptive strike against a bigger iPhone, it measures just 6.7mm thick and weighs 115g. It's other dimensions are 132.4 x 65.5, comparable to those of the Galaxy S5 mini.

The Alpha flagship packs a larger screen, however, a 4.7" Super AMOLED with 720p resolution. The phone's heart is an Exynos 5 Octa built up of four Cortex-A15 cores (1.8GHz) and four Cortex-A7 cores (1.3GHz). There's 2GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable storage.

It will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat with TouchWiz on top including S Health and Ultra-low power mode. The phone will pack a fingerprint reader, heart-rate sensor and will be compatible with the Samsung Gear smartwatches. The main camera is a 12MP shooter (it's not clear yet if it's ISOCELL or not) accompanied by a 2.1MP selfie camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha boasts LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 . All of that will be powered by a relatively small 1,860mAh battery. Color options include Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver and Scuba Blue.

The phone will launch in 150 countries in September.
