In an interview on Punch Ng, Jesse Jagz speaks about his exit from Chocolate City and more: Do you have your own label now? It is not a label in anyway and I am not signing anybody on. Jagznation is just a business outfit, where I put out my music. What’s the state of your relationship with the boss, Audu Maikori? Jesse : There is no fight. We have been talking and there is no personal war. Will you continue to produce for Chocolate City artistes like it was the norm while you were there? Jesse : MI and Ice Prince are my brothers; therefore, we will always find time to work together. How about the other artistes? I am not saying yes, but it is possible. For every other artiste, they will have to go through the normal process. If I like the song, then I will go on it. Did your exit affect your relationship with MI who is an executive on the label? Jesse : I still saw him last week and at my show I said, ‘MI I love you but I am at war with Chocolate City.’ I said this so that people can understand certain things. Yes, he is my brother but as an executive of that label, he must own up to other people and be the same thing applies to me. What if he was not my brother? I would still have to do what I did. We are not shooting Missiles at each other, it’s just business. Brymo left Chocolate City soon after you did. Was that a conspiracy? Brymo has been my friend before he even got signed on. He is still my friend but we never sat down to discuss our plans. You happened to have moved on pretty well and have a new album… Jesse : It is an African thing for you to stop and praise yourself but for me and the team, this album is actually our first album and we are just starting. The name of the album is ‘Thy nation comes’ and it has 18 songs. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/10/06/m-love-war-chocolate-city-jesse-jagz/ |

Android users can now remotely lock down a misplaced or stolen device from the web. Google has rolled this critical feature into Android Device Manager, which launched last month with location tracking and remote wipe functionality. Now the web tool lets you lock any Android smartphone running version 2.2 of the operating system and above. To do so, you’ll simply need to set a new password to be entered once the device is recovered. This can be different from your regular lock screen PIN, so even if that password is compromised, you can override it with a new one. Google is actively discouraging users from re-using their main Google credentials, however. A lock request will immediately secure any device connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network — even if it’s actively being used. If a thief has turned off a phone or enabled Airplane Mode, the lock will take effect as soon as a data connection is reestablished. And should your beloved smartphone prove unretrievable, there’s always the last-ditch measure of wiping its memory entirely. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/24/google-now-lets-you-lock-down-a-lost-android-device-from-the-web/

Car makers Nissan have announced a partnership with Apple that will see them produce the first set of cars with iTunes Radio. The Japanese car maker will be the exclusive automotive launch partner for Apple’s new media streaming service, part of a concerted effort by the tech giant to make inroads into automotive infotainment. iTunes Radio is essentially Apple’s competitor to Pandora; it’s an internet radio service that can create playlists based on a user’s listening history. It’s already in the hands of iPhone and iPad users; now Nissan will get the first crack at putting iTunes Radio in a car. “We see iTunes Radio as an integral part of our new vehicle launches and ‘big moments,’ riding the wave of interest and usage of this exciting new service to maximize exposure of Nissan’s new models,” Nissan North America vice president of marketing Jon Brancheau said in a statement. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/25/nissan-partners-apple-manufacture-first-car-itunes-radio/

After only three days of availability, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have already combined to reach 9 million handsets sold, Apple said in a recent statement. The figure makes the latest iPhone launch the most successful yet, topping last year’s iPhone 5 debut by about 4 million. Apple is also touting the high adoption rate of iOS 7, which has made its way to 200 million iPhone users since it was released last Thursday, September 18th. That again tops last year’s figure, when 100 million updated to iOS 6 in the same timespan. What Apple didn’t announce was the exact breakdown between the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, but it’s safe to say maybe the demand for the 5C was trumped by that for 5S. Were you among the 9 million who got their hands on a new iPhone this weekend? |
There is a work around to the problem, though, as detailed on Reddit. It involves quite a few steps, so it isn’t ideal. If you must: 1. Turn on USB power 2. Plug in lightning cable to iPhone 3. Dismiss any warnings 4. Unlock your iPhone. 5. Dismiss any remaining warnings. 6. Now with the screen turned on. 7. Unplug the knock off lightning cable. 8. Plug it back in. 9. Dismiss warning again We’re also guessing the lightning cable enforcement will carry over to the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Folks are better off picking up a supported/Original Apple charges in the nearest future.. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/22/apple-ios7-ios-7-blocking-fakenot-original-charging-cables-get-around/ |
Osondu Samuel better known with his stage name as Sammy O is an upcoming hip-hop act debuting on Infolodge . He is currently into Hip-hop, he is well versed with his lyrics though he is more of a rapper than a singer. Pushing is his first work as an artiste and with this kind of effort i must say is pretty impressive for an act trying to break in to the bigger scene. http://cdn12.hulkshare.com/dev12/0/007/669/0007669411.fid/Sammy_O_-Pushing_On.mp3?key=43779f00a32b1c52bc30fe1f7119dba6&dl=1 |

Yeah the headline was catchy, same way it caught my attention. One of the leading Nigeria’s Pop Star D’banj latest album D Kings Men (D.K.M) was reviewed on the New York times coupled along with Lil Silva, Rico Love, Austin Lucas. Read the review : D’Banj D’BANJ PRESENTS DKM (D’ KING’S MEN) D’Banj is one of the great African pop stars of the past decade, a charming singer but, more important, a savvy showman. For years, this Nigerian singer was at the center of the Mo’ Hits Records stable, but now he’s struck out on his own with a new label and the compilation “D’Banj Presents DKM (D’ King’s Men) ” (DB/G.O.O.D./Sony). It’s an alluring contemporary pop album with an emphasis on king-size dance music, like the militarily efficient “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense” and the flash of last year’s excellent smash hit “Oliver Twist.” D’Banj is also a savvy synthesizer of the old and new Africa, as on “Nous les Meilleurs (We the Best),” a duet with the Congolese singer Fally Ipupa. But really, D’Banj has his eye on the world; he’s signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, and the lovely “Scape Goat (The Fix)” features what’s certainly the most cheerful version of Mr. West you’ll hear this year, or any year. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/15/infolodge-exclusive-dbanjs-dkm-album-reviewed-newyork-times/ |

Twitter confirmed that it has filed an S-1 with the SECOND and is therefore on the road to going public. This is an important moment for Twitter, and for tech, as it shows that the IPO window is open. Here’s Twitter on its filing: We’ve confidentially submitted an S-1 to the SEC for a planned IPO. This Tweet does not constitute an offer of any securities for sale. Count to 10 and let’s hope the damn thing leaks right away. We don’t know much, but expect Twitter to go public at a valuation of roughly between $15 billion, $20 billion, roughly. Its last private money came in at around a $10 billion valuation, and those investors will want a return on their funds. Goldman Sachs is said to be the lead underwriter of the offering. Facebook’s IPO, for comparison, valued the social giant at around $100 billion on the day of its flotation. The irony here is that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg yesterday at Disrupt told the world that it should not be afraid of going public. Twitter did not decide to go public on the back of Zuck’s axiom, but it is nicely pat that it announced this news the day after his comments. Facebook’s public offering was marred with trading errors and a slipping stock price, and the company lost tens of billions of value before it recovered. Facebook is currently trading at fresh highs, helping to set the stage for Twitter: Whatever the Facebook IPO hangover was, it is no more. https://twitter.com/twitter/status/378261932148416512 http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/13/twitter-going-public/ |
Scary!!! A new report from Der Spiegel claims that the NSA not only is able to look into data contained inside a BlackBerry smartphone, but that it has been doing it for years. Der Spiegel notes that they have gained access to top secret documents wich explicitly comment on the NSA’s ability to tap into user data from Apple iPhones, Android and even BlackBerry devices. According to the leaked documents, the NSA has gone as far as creating separate working groups to focus on each operating system with the goal to gain access to contact lists, SMS traffic, notes and even geolocation information for specific users. Unsurprisingly, the weakest link appears to be iOS. The document claims that the NSA can go as far as infiltrate the computer an individual uses to sync their iPhone. However, the document also mentions some of the difficulties the NSA has had in breaching BlackBerry devices. Specifically, a document dated from 2009 details how intelligence specialists were able to “see and read SMS traffic,” but it also notes a period of time when the NSA was unable to access BlackBerry devices after then RIM acquired another company and changed the way they compressed data, eventually being able to gain access again in 2010. There is also mention in the documents celebrating a successful breach of the BlackBerry mail system, one of the most secure in the industry, deemed by BlackBerry to be uncrackable. When asked by Der Spiegel to comment about the report, BlackBerry officials said: “It is not for us to comment on media reports regarding alleged government surveillance of telecommunications traffic.” Adding that the company had not programmed a “‘back door’ pipeline to our platform.” Continue Raeading : --> http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/13/nsa-can-tap-blackberry-ios-android-phone-data/ |
Alongside the blaze of publicity for the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c, Apple also announced it is to release its latest operating system iOS 7 for mobile devices. Apple is due to release iOS 7 to the public on September 18, just ahead of the two new iPhones themselves. While some of the headline-grabbing features of iOS 7 will only be available on the new iPhones, like the fingerprint I'd function, there are many hidden tweaks and new features for older devices. Like previous iOS updates, however, owners of older devices will find themselves being left behind as their iPhones and iPads are denied access some of the new features. Some of this is due to the limitations of the hardware on older devices, while other features that will be left out are harder to explain. So what new features can iPhone and iPad users who are not able to afford an upgrade to the latest devices look forward to enjoying? • Torch facility • Control Centre • Do not disturb • New way to access research • Swipe to close • Level out your Life.. http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/12/review-hidden-iphone-features-enabled-ios-7/ |

When Apple released the iPhone 4S, the masses moaned that it wasn’t a significant technological leap forward from the original iPhone 4. But is the same true of the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5? Will the internet clog with the festering opinions of disappointed Apple fans? Apple’s commitment to iterative product development suggests so. The question is: where is the 5S better? Screen? Processor? You’ll find the answers in the comparison review below… iphone 5s vs iphone 5 Apple iPhone 5S vs Apple iPhone 5 – Build At first glance, the 5S looks identical to the old iPhone 5 and, sure enough, a quick read of the spec sheet reveals that their dimensions and weight are identical – 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6mm and 112g. The only physical differences are the redesigned Home button, which incorporates the new Touch I'd fingerprint sensor and is surrounded by a thin stainless steel ring; and the dual LED flash (one white light, one amber light) around the back. Where the iPhone 5 was available in two color choices – black or white, the new 5S has silver/white, ‘space grey’, black and gold/white options. The gold version is either snazzy or ridiculous, depending on your point of view. Apple iPhone 5S vs Apple iPhone 5 – Display The iPhone 5S and the now discontinued iPhone 5 both feature the same 4-inch Retina display with the same 640 x 1136 pixel resolution. We’ve seen bigger and better – the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 display, while the HTC One has a 4.7-inch 1080 x 1920 screen. But the iPhone 5S/iPhone 5 panel is still good enough for gaming, video-watching and flicking through those Jonny. Apple iPhone 5S vs Apple iPhone 5 – Camera While both phones feature an 8 Megapixel camera on the back and a 1.2 Megapixel lens on the front, that doesn’t tell the whole story. Apple has made some improvements to the iPhone 5′s camera, including adding image stabilisation, live photo filters and a new Burst mode that takes 10 shots per second and automatically suggests the best one. Where the iPhone 5 had a bog-standard LED flash, the iPhone 5S has a dual LED (True Tone) flash to reduce the intensity of the light and help you take better photos. Apple has also improved the image sensor, lens cover and f/2.4 aperture – the iPhone 5S camera has a 15 per cent larger sensor and an improved f/2.2 aperture to let in more light for brighter results. Finally, the iPhone 5S can take better 1080p video too. The main 8MP camera now has a slow-motion video feature plus video stabilisation to reduce unwanted camera wobble. The front-mounted iSight camera also features an improved backside illumination sensor (BIS) for better performance when FaceTiming in the gloom. Apple iPhone 5S vs Apple iPhone 5 – Connectivity With the iPhone 5S heading for China Mobile and NTT Docomo, plus a range of different countries around the world, it supports more LTE bands than the iPhone 5. It’s the only real difference between the 5S and its predecessor. Both include 3G/HSDPA and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO support, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. There’s also a version that supports the TD-LTE technology that’s beginning to pop up around the world. No NFC this time. Perhaps Apple is saving that for the iPhone 6… http://infolodge.net/blog/blog/2013/09/11/comparison-apple-iphone-5s-vs-iphone-5/# |
