It's really interesting to get on top of the problem after watching many attempts to fix it and failed..

My weekend was ruined the instructions was tell the customer it will take 60k to get this issue resolved,

But the bad ass flipped my message upside down and tell him that his car is back to live, the tech says he will take 60k now really got me screwed up...
cos I gat the customer on my neck that all he got is 7k I am dead..
It been a serious wotk on this car for 5 days, no luck..
There have been this kind of issues with same brand make and model like this before and it was unsolved at last it was sold for scrap

what is difficult in finding a battery drain?

every current draw comes from the battery.
then through a fuse/relay.

Every system has a fuse through which current runs through to power them. The fuses serve as a safety device within any circuit in case there is a high amp draw due to short circuit or whatever.

Now to narrow down which system is responsible for this current draw,
first put the car to sleep.
open the doors (this is to allow easy access during diagnosis) but lock the latches (to ensure the BCM sees the doors are locked).

place an amp clamp on the main positive or negative battery wires to monitor the current beeing drawn from the battery.

next let is seat for am hour atleast just to ensure all systems are asleep.

with a multimeter, check each fuse. and note the fuses with higher than normal millivolts reading.

with this you can narrow down which system is responsible for the amp draw since we already know this is the fuse powering the system.

from here disconnect each module being powerwd on the system. there will be a drop in amp draw once you disconnect the module or component responsible for the amp draw.


The above methods are one of many accurate ways to diagnose amp draw on any vehicle which i have used to fix difficult battery drain concerns on many vehicles.

All these information is available on the net. no dey feel like say you be champ @OP.

That VW Passat 06-08 is a problematic car. It is too much electrical. The most worrisome part is that, in a whole local government, you may not see any mechanic that will repair the car. They do avoid it like plaque.

Not all the battery is and alternator is fine.

I cn fix d battery drain issue 4 ur customer. Am an automobile electrician. An eletrical component like d alternator, cigarette lighter, central locks etc could be responsible 4 d drain. U wil b needing a professional 2 diagnose dt car.

Not all case tho this issue has been resolved

The customer complaint was the car kills battery over night,..........

You never disappoint. You have no business opening that engine. I have an exact type of that car. Top end rattling is common in them. If you have any understanding of them it's not an engine problem.... If you know what's wrong it will disappear naturally.

Sorry I actually do.. Oil burning is a problem, if yours is rattling and you think it's normal, if the engine knocked I think it will be normal too

OK here we go again.. for the update this car is up successful engine rebuild, next is sensor troubleshooting, system restoration and it's all going up....

We were told this ac have only leaks before purchasing but now, after getting it fixed air tight, pulled vacuum, charged it up, the compressor was snoring in the cemetery..

This car look great on the body but needs extra job to get it back in shape..

In fear of not getting my orders from aliexpress, a kid brother introduced me to chumaco easy way,

My first shipment for a trial was just around 1k was totally including logistics to Abuja around N10,500
Dollars exchange rate that was used fore was 480 when it was 380 but I was eager to see my order and finally I let that go after my complaint that the exchange rate was outrageous

I then give a pace and do send more orders and ask ifeanyi the one in China to keep them until they all arrived, the evidence of my claims i will share, two months he said he hasn't seen my orders, but sellers showed me my orders have been received and signed for,

Chumaco agent said my orders have no name on it or phone number I should send tracking numbers which I did, but still same stories,

By this time the other orders I risked and decided to send through aliexpress all came through

I became furious but still same stories, later he told me some of the orders came & he will be shipping it, okay was my reply, till this very day my second orders through chumaco became a legend.

My chat with the guy in Lagos he said my items got missing, I contacted Chumaco and still little did I know that they are all bird of same calibers and decided to use aliexpress till this day and any of my item that didn't reach me, I fill a dispute after a month of the estimated date, in two weeks I will have a full refund.
