However after fixing the date from the traditional Wedding, her parents are asking for five million naira as Bride Price. I told my girlfriend to appeal to them to at least reduce it to two million but her parents refuse. They say its an extended family decision like her Uncles and other relatives. I don't understand. Been married for 5yrs now and my husband exhibit such selfish traits that am really not happy about.
I am a giver I mean I give even if it is to inconvincence myself I know we can't be the same as some would say, but the thing is he is so selfish that he passes the responsibilty of the kids to me. He earns thrice more than I do but I spend 90% when it comes to our monthly expenses. I have sat him down several times to talk about it but he still refuses to change.
Is it a crime to want to assist my husband cos he has completely hands off his responsibilites as the bread winner and left everyting for me to do I mean everything including fees, feeding and clothing for the kids. I am beginning to feel stupid cos have not saved or have anything tangible for all the yrs of my work life. We go shopping together and when it is time to pay he stylishly excuses himself leaving me at the till feeling stupid.
I feel used. Please I want experienced married pple to advice me on what to do.

I will not give details of my own personal experiences, but it is common knowledge that girls and women are easily heart broken even before breakups.

She came back OCT (to Benin) and we met for the first time

She ends the call and the next morning she doesnt go to work but comes directly to my house
ME just pretended as if nothing was wrong, she went inside, we exchanged greetings and I
was focused on the fight ob Blackbelt Tv on DSTV, then the next thing she started crying
kneeling and begging me not to leave her and that she was really sorry for what she has done
Again I was calm. drew her close and said it was aiit and that was settled...

Around February, I went tru her sms and found out that she contacted same guy again this time
the message ended with "AND KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY MAN" I asked her what I then was to her
and she said she did all those to get money from the guy that she needed money pretty desperately
I was like but I am here, what do u need money for and she said I didnt want to bother you cos I love
you so much...
After proper interrogation, I discovered that she has STD of which she refuzd to tell me the name of the
STD so that I can know how to treat and from that time till this moment, I have left her and I have lost complete
interest in the relationship but I am tempted to get her back because of her persistent nature right now.
