A Young Lady has been taken to a shelter after she was found completely naked on the streets of Makurdi, the Benue State capital on Tuesday, June 7, Reports.

Activist, Ukan Kurugh, who disclosed this on Facebook, As Sighted By , Said the lady was found disoriented and disturbed.

"This lady was found on the street of high level makurdi yesterday totally naked and some good samaritan took her into a shelter but seem like she is more disturbed than the person thought. I am using this opportunity to openly call on any of her family member/ relative to reach me on 08069082285 to take her home," he wrote.

One Tessy Inikpi Benny who identified the lady as Agarancha, said she became mentally unstable after taking unknown intoxicating substance.

"I know her very well. She is mentally down a bit especially after taking or smoking what ever she takes. She lives with a young man and his girlfriend behind me. The young man said her people took her for treatment in the village it became better and she has a likening for the young man so she moved into the apartment with the couples and gradually she became bad to worst and the couples got tired. She is known as Agarancha. Ask of her at Balewa crescent sir" Tessy said.

One Prince Adams Oyih said the lady is always seen around Yaman Park, IBB Square area of Makurdi, smiling and talking to herself.

A 25-Year-Old Man has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command over alleged criminal trespassing and attempting to commit theft.

Jika John, who is from Michika Local Government Area but resides at Sabon Pegi in Wuro Chekke, Yola South LGA, in Adamawa State, was arrested on Monday, June 6, 2022.

He reportedly dressed as a woman and gained entrance into the College of Nursing and Midwifery Yola to steal gas cylinder from the female hostel.

He was apprehended following a distress call from the College.

Speaking to newsmen at the headquarters of the Police Command, the Suspect Jika claimed that there was a girl in the school who asked him to pay her a visit in order to have sex.

The suspect said that he made an arrangement with the girl on Sunday, June 5, 2022, to meet on Monday when all her roommates will be out of the hostel.

When Monday came, he wore female clothes so as to have easy access to the hostel.

Jika said that he was apprehended by security while on his way to the hostel between 7:30 to 8:00 pm.

He insisted that his plan was to go and have sex and not to steal.

Fielding questions from newsmen, the OC Crack Squad of the Police Command, CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, said that it was not true that he was in the school to have sex with a lady but to steal gas cylinders in order to sell it.

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command has arrested a fake soldier, Chidera Anuna, for extortion, Reports.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, June 8, said the suspect belong to a syndicate that specialized in extorting individuals in the state.

"Between 01/03/2022 and 30/03/2022, reports were received that a syndicate of two used to parade themselves as soldiers, robbed and extort money and other valuables from individuals at night hours within the Sabon Gari Area of Kano State," the statement read.

"Furthermore, on the 30/03/2022, one Joseph Ifeanyi Usalo, 'm' of Kofar Ruwa Market Kano complained that the same syndicate including one Miracle Nnamoko, 'm', with one other dressed in Military Camouflage, went to his shop located at Kofar Ruwa Market, intimidated and forced him to transfer the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000:00) into Miracle Nnamoko's bank account and the sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Naira (N35,000:00) into an account bearing Chidera Anuna.

"They also made away with his iPhone 12 Pro Max Mobile phone valued at Seven Hundred and Eighty Thousand Naira (N780,000:00) and also retrieved the password of the mobile phone from him.

"On receipt of the reports, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama'ila Shu'aibu Dikko, fsi raised and instructed a team of Operation Puff Adder led by CSP Alhaji Ado Salisu to carry out continuous intelligence-led Surveillance Operations in the area.

"On 08/04/2022, Miracle Nnamoko, 'm', of Belatus Road, Sabon Gari Quarters Kano was arrested. He confessed to the crime and mentioned Chidera Anune, 'm', that owned the camouflage as his accomplice. He was investigated and charged to Magistrate Court Number 64 Ungogo for prosection. Whereas, the search for Chidera is continuous.

"On 31/05/2022, Chidera Anuna, 'm', was arrested by the personnel from 455 Base Services Group, Nigerian Air Force Kano, dressed in suspected Military camouflage at Sabon Gari Quarters Kano and handed over to Kano State Police Command.

"On investigation, Chidera was found in possession of two iPhones Mobile Handsets and an Infinix Mobile Phone suspected to be robbed. He also confessed to the crime and confessed that he is neither a military officer nor any security personnel. The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation."

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, further warned that criminals will have no hiding place in Kano State.
