A member of Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) Kaduna branch, Sa'adatu Nura Aliyu, has been abducted by suspected kidnappers.

Facebook user, Khadeejah Ibraheem, who confirmed the incident on Friday, June 3, said the poet was kidnapped two days ago in Kaduna and the abductors are demanding N3m ransom.

"That's Sa'adatu Nura Aliyu. She's a member of HCAF kaduna. she's an amazing poet with big dreams. A very jovial person. One everyone will wish to have. It break my heart anytime I remember she's with these people without knowing if she is fine or not. She was kidnapped two days back and the kidnappers demanded for the ransom of 3 million Naira. Include her in your prayers please.Never forget her in your prayers. May Allah bring her back safely. We are missing her." she wrote.

Also confirming the incident, Muhammad Sulaiman Bulangu said Sa'adatu was abducted at Malalin Gabas area of Kaduna while on her way to school.

"Sa'adatu Nura Aliyu she's a poetess with a brilliant intelligence, I respect her kindness and generosity peculiarly in this poetic world. She's was kidnapped on her way to school in Malalin gabas by an unknown snatchers, may the omnipotent God rescue her and all the victims were subsumed in this tragedy."

A Mountain lion cub strolled into a California high school Wednesday morning, June 1 and had to be safely trapped in a classroom by a custodian, police say.

A Custodian was trying to open up Pescadero High School for the school day when the cub was spotted, according to Detective Javier Acosta of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives say Janitors trapped the animal in one classroom and it was later tranquilized before being transported out of the building.

It’s unclear how the cub came to enter the school, which is located about 30 miles west of San Jose.

The cub was likely an orphan around 6 to 8-months old, according to the Oakland Zoo, which is now caring for the baby mountain lion.

No students or teachers were on the school campus at the time the animal was found.

‘Staff and Deputies have been able to isolate the puma to a classroom and there is no immediate threat,’ the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a post to social media.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife were called to help remove the animal from the building.

School staff tried to ‘let it out on its own,’ but the cub did not leave the classroom or building because it was ‘lost and scared,’ according to Acosta. Students and staff were sent home for the day as a precaution.

The cub has been sent to the Oakland Zoo, according to zoo officials, who say the animal is too young to survive on its own.

Mountain lions spend the first two years of life learning from their mothers, and officials have not been able to locate any other mountain lions near the school.

He knows I don't work on Saturdays and Sundays yet he have me an impromptu task to be done on Sunday... Funny enough, the task was done by my colleague that we were both assigned to do the job but my boss fined me 10k for not being their with my colleague on time.
My colleagues stays on the island, I stay on mainland.... Moreover my mum was admitted to the hospital during the week so I had already planned to go see her on weekend before my boss gave me a task..

I am just fed up.. How much be the salary wey I dey manage yet he fined me 10k for an assignment dt was done but only bcox I wasn't there on time. He didn't even care to listen.
I saw the handwriting but the truth is that I can't stay at home without a job.

I am really on a look out for another job...

A Woman is in the hospital, fighting for her life after she was allegedly stabbed by her husband in Kaduna.

Victoria Emmanuel, 39, was allegedly stabbed by Haruna Emmanuel because she left him due to domestic violence.

Victoria was said to have been enduring domestic violence since she married her husband 16 years ago.

She left their home in Kaduna after she was almost strangled by Haruna in December 2021.

Haruna then visited Victoria at her new residence last Friday, May 27, under the guise of taking his children with him. While there, he begged Victoria to return home but she asked that he signs an undertaking first, Punch reports.

In anger, he allegedly stabbed her and stabbed their son.

A source told Punch: "What happened was that she was beaten on December 28, 2021. He almost strangled her. She took the case to a human rights group and moved out of his house. Her parents rented another apartment for her. She would have left Kaduna, but she was schooling there.

"This was how she has been coping with the torture since she got married to him 16 years ago. Each time she leaves the house, he will come with different ministers of God to meet her parents and he would cry and vow not to do that again, but it continued.

"He has signed undertakings more than three times, but he never honoured them. He signed an undertaking with her parents, another at Sabo Police Station and one at the DSS office. He refused to sign at the human rights organisation because of the conditions.

"Last Friday, he said he wanted to take his children with him; those children were with him, but he sent them to their mother when they were sick. She didn’t stop him, but he later apologised to her and said he wanted her back in his life.

"She asked him to sign the fourth undertaking; he refused to sign. She refused to move in with him; he left with her second son."

Speaking from her hospital bed, Victoria told the publication that she was about to walk out after several pleas by her husband to return home when he grabbed her by the neck and stabbed her in the chest and other parts of her body.

Victoria also claimed that Haruna stabbed their son.

She said: "My son that went with my husband ran back panting and sweating. Shortly his father appeared and started begging me for forgiveness, I told him that I had forgiven him, but can’t stay with him. I was about to walk out when he grabbed me from behind and held me by the neck; he had a knife with him and stabbed me in my right chest with force and shouted, ‘Die!’

"He removed the knife and stabbed me in my left and right hands. He also targeted my neck, but I managed to dodge it. He stabbed me in the back. My son was shouting and begging him not to kill me.

"Neighbours were trying to open the door, but they couldn’t. My son summoned courage to push him away. He used the knife on my son’s stomach. The boy narrowly dodged another attempt to stab him before neighbours came to our rescue."

Haruna escaped and has not been seen since the incident.
