benin-man: But how did suspect bomber's dad afford to buy a 4million pounds flat in central london? Cos it has now been confirmed that he owns the flat/apartment
How come Sanusi didn't clamp down on him? or am i missing something Dont be daft! £4million flat is not the issue here. . . We are talking about terrorism and not a four million pound flat or Sanusi clamping down on someone. . . Dont you guys use your bleeping heads when replying to threads |

PapaBrowne: I haven't said anywhere that Sanusi or Dr Mutallab strapped the guy with bombs man! I'm pretty sure they knew only little about his intentions.
However, facts are facts. Sanusi knows the bomber personally and that happens to be a fact. I'm just making a statement of fact. Papabrowne but that is not the issue at hand. . . .Knowing the kiddo doesnt mean anything especially when accurate information are sketchy Yeah you made a factual statement, but at the end of the day this has nothing to do with CBN or Sanusi. . . It has nothing to do with Muttalab resigning as First Bank's supremo. . .As for as we know Ya all shouldnt be quick to conclude or try to put other people in the frame. . . .without any concrete evidences!!!! |

GettysBurg: Muttallab! Interesting thing is that he is a close friend of CBN Governor Sanusi. Muttalab was the Chairman of First Bank for ten years until last week. He appointed Lamido Sanusi as First Bank CEO in preparation for his appointment as CBN Governor.
How come he suddenly resigned last week?? It has nothing to do with the issue at hand. . .Shut the fuc.k up and use your head! What is Sanusi's business with this? What has it got to do with Mutallab appointing Sanusi as First Bank CEO? What has he got to do with a veteran of the banking sector resigning last week? Use your head next time before posting comments on a public forum! |
Politics › Re: Northwest Flight 253 Leg-bomber Is Son Of Dr.umaru Abdul Muttalab, by MrCrackles(m): 9:01pm On Dec 26, 2009 |
PapaBrowne: Facts are facts, boy. Mutallab and Sanusi are best of Friends and they have known each other for over two decades.
Sagamite, You are far away and you know nothing! I'm in the system boy. Sanusi worked under Mutallab in UBA. Mutallab brought Sanusi in as CEO of First Bank in preparation for the job as CBN Governor. Mutallab single-handedly recommended Sanusi to Yar Adua as the man for the job.
Does Mutallab's son's action make Mutallab a terrorist?? No. Does Sanusi's closeness with Mutallab make Sanusi a terrorist?? Not really! However, it doesn't change the simply stated fact that Sanusi is not only best frieends with Mutallab, he personally knows the terrorist bomber!!
Interesting thing is that US intelligence sources have taken note and are surely researching Mutallab, Sanusi and Rilwanu intensely in relation to this young man.Their names have been mentioned on BBC already so I'm not the one making up the links. You keep ranting facts are facts. . . .On the other 44-paged thread, i shoved your daft comments on the issue back in your face. . . . You need to be sensible and caste sentiments coupled with hate aside. . . . This is all about some poor bloke who commited a terrorist act which every sane person outhere should condemn. . . It has nothing to do with Sanusi and CBN as far as we know. . And Sanusi's closeness with Dr Mutallab doesnt mean they strapped the ol dude with bombs Common man, be objective and realistic for once. . . |

wirinet: For me, i am yet to take a position on the whole issue, because the story as presently told does not make sense. I will wait for a full disclosure by the FBI or for the court case to decipher what actually happened. Be these are the areas i find confusing;
1. Why would a would-be suicide bomber wait till a plane is about to land before attempting to blow up the plane, when the plane had flown at a high attitude over the ocean for over 6 hours. The explosion would have had minimum damage to the plane at such low altitude and if the pilot is not affected by the explosion, chances are that he might still manage to land the plane.
2. We understand that most Nigerians are unhappy with the US military activities in Muslim countries- especially the Muslims but i do not think the resentment is strong enough to carry out suicide bombings of America's interest, especially when we are not directly affected by US invasions and bombings. We are not even told the grievances of the suspected bomber but we told all his other claims.
3. The story is not specific on weather the substance is a bomb or an inflammable powder. Also all we are told at the moment are the suspect's "claims", no investigative report yet.
4. Even the claims that he is working on behalf of Al Qaeda does not make sense, as everybody knows that Al qaeda's operations are usually multiple coordinated multiple explosions, and not single one off bombings.
I do not know why Nigerian are expert at making a mountain out of a molehill, even if one individual of Nigerian origin, but of British citizenship having sympathy for Osama Bin Ladin, should carry out a terrorist attack, does that make all Nigerians or Northern Nigerians Terrorists?. With all the terrorists from Saudi Arabia (Osama Bin Ladin's country), UAE, and Qatar, their citizens are not even considered terrorists. They are considered on individual basis. Brilliant. . . . . Chapelle.S: This is where we get it wrong in Nigeria.This is purely a muslim/northern problem. No living Nigerian christian will try to concive this act instead he can be proud to dupe Obama. Islamic religion needs reinvention. The thread title doesnt translate to "Islam needs Reinvention does it? Common man, get a grip. . . and dont turn the thread to something else. . . If you are so worried about Islam and Reinvention, why dont you open a new thread in the religious section |

Business › Nigerian Banks: Beautiful Brides To Be Courted By Would Be Grooms Or Not? by MrCrackles(op): 11:27am On Dec 26, 2009 |
The fallout of the reforms embarked upon by the CBN coupled with the global financial meltdown has had a crushing effect on the state of Nigerian Banks from all perspectives. Restructuring and downsizing has flooded the labour market with bank workers and this added to the already teeming hopefuls of a bank employment. Can Nigerian banks (Brides) still be courted by would be labour workers (grooms) in the labour market? I feel the "grooms" have started looking at other sectors for "labour courtships" Some are watching events unfold whilst putting their "courtship" plans with Nigerian banks on hold. . . . |
