klax: the whole of ikeji family sold to the highest bidder cannot buy a plot in banana island, pray, what is it with Igbo people that makes them reek with sooo much complex and the desire to unnecessarily massage a low self esteem. assuming this social climber moved to a "better" part of town, does this call for all the noise, do we know where you were shacking up before now? 4 Likes |

THIS YEYE Igbo MAN IS AS LAZY AS Bleep! this hopeless loafer should leave the akara "business" for his wife and find something more engaging, dignifying amd manly to do, all the shameless mofo does is to senselessly procreate yeye pickins who sooner than later would turn to social miscreants.besides, what gives him the impression that he has conquered poverty with this yeye roadside akara "business? HE NEEDS TO BE CASRATED FAST!!!!!! |

Music/Radio / Re: Is Fela Really A Nigerian Icon by mrgbite(m): 12:15pm On Aug 07, 2011 |
I dont blame this poster as i'm very sure he must be a kiddo. Son, ask people who witnessed the FELA phenomenon and you will realize asking if he is a Nigerian icon is a bloody understatement. FELA IS A WORLD ICON!!! I cannot think of ANY nigerian that is close. Nigeria never honoured him but the world does.or you think its dodo to have a broadway play made out of your life?(which turned out to be one of broadways biggest hit, by the way)do you think its easy been in worlwide acclaim several years after your death?recognised as a genius by the likes of Paul McCartney,Stevie wonder,Jay-z, Beyonce,Hugh Masakela etc,etc I still get the goose whenever i remember watching this extraordinary person right from kalakuta, pepple street, and much later at the Brixton academy. The man is a musical genius, a legend of whom we will speak a hundred years from now and he was a humanist and a pan africanist of note too.One of my proudest moments as a Nigerian was that hot july 4th summer afternoon right there in disneyland when the pulsating rhytmn of ZOMBIE came air(the only non american music played)with that unmistakably fela's sax signature. , Iba re, Olufela Anikulapo omo Kuti,Omo eleniyan, Omo Iya aje, Once again, I pour libation for a very heavy 'Orisa' |

li kuntama: ha, ha, ki la gbe , ki lo ju? Where the heck does this crep.tin climb out from? my thread was directed at the OP and you have the effontery to start throwing very silly jibes.?Your ill breeding certainly have no bounds. For starters, i`m certainly not your mate(not with your extreme chidish tendencies and hysterics) and your unneccesary rantings are imbecillic to say the least, My simple advise was for the OP to take care of his/her mother like a true African, a view that has been supported by other several reasonable posters but you chose to ramble on and on just because i mentioned that the NHS itself is not perfect. Unlike the hopeless economic refugee that you are, I schooled in England long before it bacame the abode of v.ermins like you and i KNOW how the NHS operates. Now m.oron, use your own hands to google NHS BLUNDERS and see how PERFECT the NHS is.Unlike you(obviously holed up in one lonely corner of the world) some of us have experienced far better than what you considered a paradise in England and as i also admitted, Naija`s medicare needs some improvements but it is certainly not as absolutely hopeless as some of you make it out to be . You strike me as one of those raised in one of the various ghettoes in Lagos and having managed to escape the extreme poverty of your upbringing and seeing the decent things of life for the first time you go overboard in your comments concerning your former abode. its a psychological tendency that are a lot of your type are afflicted with and you deserve nothing but pity and a visit to your nearest shrink |
Family / Re: Would You Send Your Elderly Parent Back To Nigeria? by mrgbite(m): 12:07am On Sep 17, 2010 |
Wonder what the brouhaha is all about. @OP, she is your mother and has taken care of you all her life,so why considering "dumping" her back to Nigeria when her health is failing? well, the options are not many. You and your siblings may either act like africans and nurse her back to good health, watch over her and monitor her lifestyle or act the oyinbo and get a carer for her, either way its your prerogative afterall she is YOUR mother, And for all those making so much hype about Naija healthcare viz a viz the UK NHS, Yes most govt. hospitals in naija are below par, but by western european standards, the NHS itself is absolute crap. you need to understand that when an African gets to the age of your mother, she needs more the care and attention of her children and extended family in addition to her medications than the availability of some fancy hospitals with morgues filled to the brim. That she has lived most of her life in the U.K doesnt change that, afterall she still devours eba, okporokpo and other oroshirishis |
Politics / Re: We’ll Stop Ibb At All Costs, Says Falana ! by mrgbite(m): 8:52pm On Sep 07, 2010 |
IGBOS and HAUSAS imposed obasanjo on Nigeria against the wish of his OWN people.I wonder why some dimwits are now alligning him to the yorubas, and for the nincompoops yapping on Femi Falana, this dude has sacrificed for the common good of Nigeria than your whole generation and he probably hates obasanjo more than IBB, then volume of ignorance on this forum is smply stifling! |

Religion / Re: Mysterious Near Death Experiences by mrgbite(m): 12:09am On Jul 21, 2010 |
this "reseach" itself is full of uncertain terms like "may be caused by", "could account for", "we think that", typically, science continues its attempts at interpreting that which is clearly outside its reach i.e the spiritual.if near death experiences are caused by a so called "surge of electric energy" the question is why is there a surge at that particular point and how come the experiences are somewhat similar across humanity? |
