The highest denomination of a dollar currency is $100 and the man was acclaimed to have swallowed $115,00, that makes 1,150 currency notes(if the currency were in $100 notes); how on earth is it possible to swallow 1,150 notes. I am ibo and from Nnewi.
I am ashamed of my ibo people.
Nigerians should forgive us for our stupidity
We are just sorry because we are jealous of Yorubas
We wish we had an origin, history and culture like them.
We must be less cowardly and brave like Yorubas who plan better.
I say no to Biafra and I know we need Nigeria more than you need us.
Please just allow us to be shouting Biafra of the Internet because we are jobless.
Nairaland is all we have and even that is owned by a Yoruba man who is nice.
We must stop Okija, ritual killings, Osu issue, fraud, fake spare-parts etc
We know without you we cannot survive that is why we run to your land
Our shame and hopelessness in the face of your superiority is terrible.
Even Ijaws are now our bosses and we have been reduced to goats.

I just can't stop laughing at some people level of poverty thinking honestly I now realised poverty is not just a disease but very wicked.

I want to ask a sane mind that know that banana island well to please tell me how much does a plot of land cost How much is the cost to buy a house in that place And pls let your so called Linda tell us her total income plus her husband and entire family since she was born till date and let's do the mathematics. Is it from pirated Nollywood craps movie she got the money from or she is into drug trafficking or was she once a srenator or politicIan or doing professional prostitute pls I need answer not from any clown here but from Linda herself.

This was how somebody came here and said one singer or whatever bought a watch worth 24 thousand dollars for Tuface as birthday gift and placed the picure of the watch here and i asked so the guy who bought the watch called you sat you down and show you the invoice of the watch and asked you to snap the picture and post it on NL

When you are too poor you become un-inform you belief every craps. Because when someone wear Aba made snickerrs with Nike logo and said look I got it from London for 300 pounds you will shout woooww 300 pound The next tning straight to useless NL but your brain do not ask you commonsense question.

Let Linda tell us the agent that sold the mansion or how much he bought the land first and the cost ic building it ok orelse ssshhhuutt up and go to work .

the whole of ikeji family sold to the highest bidder cannot buy a plot in banana island, pray, what is it with Igbo people that makes them reek with sooo much complex and the desire to unnecessarily massage a low self esteem. assuming this social climber moved to a "better" part of town, does this call for all the noise, do we know where you were shacking up before now?

I dont blame this poster as i'm very sure he must be a kiddo. Son, ask people who witnessed the FELA phenomenon and you will realize asking if he is a Nigerian icon is a bloody understatement. FELA IS A WORLD ICON!!! I cannot think of ANY nigerian that is close. Nigeria never honoured him but the world does.or you think its dodo to have a broadway play made out of your life?(which turned out to be one of broadways biggest hit, by the way)do you think its easy been in worlwide acclaim several years after your death?recognised as a genius by the likes of Paul McCartney,Stevie wonder,Jay-z, Beyonce,Hugh Masakela etc,etc I still get the goose whenever i remember watching this extraordinary person right from kalakuta, pepple street, and much later at the Brixton academy. The man is a musical genius, a legend of whom we will speak a hundred years from now and he was a humanist and a pan africanist of note too.One of my proudest moments as a Nigerian was that hot july 4th summer afternoon right there in disneyland when the pulsating rhytmn of ZOMBIE came air(the only non american music played)with that unmistakably fela's sax signature.

kuntama:

Mate, you are talking so much bullshit. The NHS  has one of the best emergency healthcare delivery systems in the world.
Anyway, we are comparing the NHS to NIGERIAN HOSPITALS, not other western hospitals.

What kind of S --it is that about?: when an "AFRICAN" gets to her age! ALL human beings deserve the care and attention of loved ones.

Where on earth do you get your facts from? Hospitals brimming with dead bodies? Have you been to the so-called morgues of Naija hospitals lately?
And Yes, now I'm really going to insult you as the illiterate crap that you are spewing is getting to me. If you really want this woman to get the best for her mother, she needs to make an informed decision, not based on  the boastful, 419 lies that nigerians seem so keen on spewing. You, my dear are the kind of person that prevents any kind of visionary, logical and coherent planning that nigerians need for their country. JUST GO AND DO SOMETHING USEFUL- SHUT UP AND LET THE LIGHT SHINE ON THAT CESSPIT THEY CALL NIGERIA SO WE CAN ACTUALLY CLEAN IT.

ha, ha, ki la gbe , ki lo ju? Where the heck does this crep.tin climb out from? my thread was directed at the OP and you have the effontery to start throwing very silly jibes.?Your ill breeding certainly have no bounds. For starters, i`m certainly not your mate(not with your extreme chidish tendencies and hysterics)  and  your unneccesary rantings are imbecillic to say the least,

My simple advise was for the OP to take care of his/her mother like a true African, a view that has been supported by other several reasonable posters but you chose to ramble on and on just because i mentioned that the NHS itself is not perfect. Unlike the hopeless economic refugee that you are, I schooled in England long before it bacame the abode of v.ermins like you and i KNOW how the NHS operates. Now m.oron, use your own hands to google NHS BLUNDERS and see how PERFECT the NHS is.Unlike you(obviously holed up in one lonely corner of the world) some of us have experienced far better than what you considered a paradise in England and as i also admitted, Naija`s medicare needs some improvements but it is certainly not as absolutely hopeless as some of you make it out to be .
You strike me as one of those raised in one of the various ghettoes in Lagos and having managed to escape the extreme poverty of your upbringing and seeing the decent things of life for the first time you go overboard in your comments concerning your former abode. its a psychological tendency that are a lot of your type are afflicted with and you deserve nothing but pity and a visit to your nearest shrink angry angry angry
Family / Re: Would You Send Your Elderly Parent Back To Nigeria? by mrgbite(m): 12:07am On Sep 17, 2010
Wonder what the brouhaha is all about. @OP, she is your mother and has taken care of you all her life,so why considering "dumping" her back to Nigeria when her health is failing? well, the options are not many. You and your siblings may either act like africans and nurse her back to good health, watch over her and monitor her lifestyle or act the oyinbo and get a carer for her, either way its your prerogative afterall she is YOUR mother,
And for all those making so much hype about Naija healthcare viz a viz the UK NHS, Yes most govt. hospitals in naija are below par, but by western european standards, the NHS itself is absolute crap. you need to understand that when an African gets to the age of your mother, she needs more the care and attention of her children and extended family in addition to her medications than the availability of some fancy hospitals with morgues filled to the brim. That she has lived most of her life in the U.K doesnt change that, afterall she still devours eba, okporokpo and other oroshirishis smiley grin

Religion / Re: Mysterious Near Death Experiences by mrgbite(m): 12:09am On Jul 21, 2010
this "reseach" itself is full of uncertain terms like "may be caused by", "could account for", "we think that",
typically, science continues its attempts at interpreting that which is clearly outside its reach i.e the spiritual.if near death experiences are caused by a so called "surge of electric energy" the question is why is there a surge at that particular point and how come the experiences are somewhat similar across humanity?
