TV/Movies / Ait Joins Tstv. How About Bein Sport by mrlycan: 11:01am On Nov 15, 2017
If you rescan your decoder you will see that AIT is now added to the channels on TSTV. We are getting there.
I suspect something about bein sport. It seems they want to do it in a way whereby the station will only work when you have the decoder. Thats my thinking.
Do you know that Kwese Free Sport no longer shows on Free To Air. Ask yourself Why?

TV/Movies / Nigerians Kill TSTV On Arrival. I Just Hate This Country!!! by mrlycan: 9:24am On Nov 04, 2017
I am not here to castigate anyone and I believe everyone here is a learned person. For so many years Dstv ripped us of our hard earned cash. Watching football at the comfort of our homes has been a nightmare, from qsat,to cccam to cheats and the rest.
Now that we want to create our own, instead of supporting them we started looking for their downfall. Some jobless maggots went as far as calling being sports.. Haba...are we this foolish?

Some went as far as chatting them up and asking foolish question. I wonder what the average IQ of a nairalander is?
Now back to the message on the TV, bein sport can never wrote such a message,it shows lots of people here are fools.
Why are they not suing us for showing their matches?
We watched supersport on Qsat but Dstv finds a way to take it off without writing any message. Now let me ask this simple question ?

Whenever your dstv subscription expires, what is written on your screen?
Think Think Think. And bein will never write in Capital letters but all of us keep slamming them with insults. Well am not surprised. I wish the insults TSTV got today can be given to our so called polithifians.
That is why I love a country like Egypt, by now Dstv would have packed their belongings and leave this country. We should be driving them out and not making them stay. This is bad and I am disappointed in all of you castigating tstv.

mrlycan:
Ever wondered how Premier League stars keep their hair looking fresh?
Turning up for a match with the right trim is almost as important as the boots the stars wear, especially for the league's most expensive player, Paul Pogba.
The man behind the hairstyles is a self-taught barber whose high street location is next to a kebab shop.
Ahmed Alsanawi started his career cutting hair for players in Chelsea's youth team but can now lay claim to being responsible for the hair of an entire 11 of top Premier League stars.
They include the likes of John Terry, Eden Hazard and Pogba.
He works out of A Star Barbers in Chessington, Surrey, which is a small shop with a huge reputation.
After getting his start with the Chelsea youth team, Alsanawi's talent with the trimmers meant news spread through the club via word of mouth.
The Chelsea fan has been cutting hair for the football world's rich and famous superstars for three years now.
He spends his time at the Blues' Cobham training ground and also regularly visits Manchester to cut Pogba's hair.
With plenty of interest in having such high-class clientele on the go, the barber believes his success comes from brilliant haircuts and his own attitude towards the players.
He told the Sun: 'I treat them all the same as anybody who walks through the door. None of them are stuck up, they're nice normal people.
'I don't really get star struck - I'm thinking about the hair cut. After, if he's shared it because he likes it, I think "wow I've done that on Paul Pogba", that that's when I pat myself on the back.'
Pogba has a reputation as one of the Premier League's more creative players, as demonstrated by his dress sense and his famous dancing celebrations.
While he tends to turn up with ideas for his own hair, Hazard is a player who turns to Alsanawi for advice. And the barber gets his own star guidance in return.
'I play in the same position as Eden and he's been giving me advice,' he added. 'I've been scoring loads in Sunday league, I might start playing on Saturdays.
'He's given me tips about football and I've given him tips about hair. He used to just have one level, now I've changed his whole look.'

TV/Movies / Dstv Offer Free 30GB Internet To New Customers In Kenya, To Do Same In Nigeria by mrlycan: 4:02pm On Oct 12, 2017
Whoever said monopoly in a particular market is a way to go, should come and see what is happening right now. I think the best way to get the best services out of companies is simple competition.
DSTV has announced that all customers purchasing a full kit DStv HD decoder, at a cost of KSh 7,000 will get a free MiFi router pre-loaded with 30 GB Data from Telkom and one month viewing on the DStv Compact package.
According to TechMoran, this promotional offer dubbed “DStv Na Net” will work not because it’s innovative but because both the two firms want to dispose their hardware. Most of the customers buying into this promo will highly likely not renew their DStv packages though there is a high chance they will buy more Telekom data.
According to reports, this is due to another pay tv in town in Kenya and MultiChoice is also poised to do same in Nigeria. Every firm says it listens to its customers yet they hire research firms with leading survey questions to give them predetermined market survey.

“We understand that Internet has become a basic necessity for doing business and interacting with other people socially. That is why this partnership with Telkom is an important step towards improving our customer experience,” said MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director Eric Odipo.
Instead of doing this backstreet partnership for 30GB data. MultiChoice Kenya and elsewhere should have bought an ISP inhouse then bundle both DStv, Showmax and Gotv with its own data packages. With data sorted, DStv could now rethink content away from the English Premier League.
This MiFi router, a high speed plug and play mobile data device supports up to 15 users. The free 30 GB worth of data gives them the opportunity to experience our data offering as they make an informed long-term choice of Internet service provider based on their experience with our network,” Mareuse said.

“Kenya now has over 88% internet penetration according to the Communications Authority and this offering which brings together the convenience of the Internet and great TV content via DStv, will further simplify the lives of our customers. This partnership without a doubt provides our customers with the solutions they are looking for in modern day living,” adds Mareuse.
The DStv Na Net promotion DStv HD decoder bundled with the Mifi router with 30GB data and a month’s subscription to DStv.

TV/Movies / Why Are You Surprised If TSTV Shows Bein Sports. Readd This Information!!! by mrlycan: 11:10am On Oct 06, 2017
Qatar-based firm broadcasting illegally - UCC says

KAMPALA- The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has warned the public against buying set top boxes belonging to a Qatar-based broadcasting company, BeIN Media Group, which it said is infringing on the digital space already occupied by South African-based Multichoice’s Dstv.

The telecoms regulator recently published a list of 35 firms which it said are importing, selling, distributing “unapproved” Set Top Boxes (decoders) for BeIn Media and broadcasting for the company.

UCC’s acting director of broadcasting Fred Otunnu, told Daily Monitor the Middle East based company is breaching Uganda’s laws.

“If they want to broadcast in this territory, they need to follow proper procedures,” Mr Otunnu said, adding: “We have warned them and engaged them but if they continue we are now going to take appropriate action.”

Once customers buy and install them, they automatically get leeway to some channels offered by BeIN in the Middle East but for which Dstv is the sole authorised distributer in Uganda.

“BeIN we know is authorised to broadcast these channels in North Africa/Middle East and Dstv has a licence for the same channels in Southern Africa,” Mr Otunnu said, adding: “When BeIN starts to broadcast here that means an overlap in broadcasting which is bound to cause friction.”

BeIN does not have broadcasting rights in Uganda, therefore, broadcasting BeIN content is illegal,” he noted.

Subscription to BeIN is said to be $100 (Shs300,000) per year, according to UCC, while subscription to MultiChoice about $90 (Shs270,000) per month.
BeIN has broadcasting rights for major football tournaments in various European countries.

In the United States and Canada, BeIN Sport holds the rights to broadcast La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Copa del Rey, South American World Cup Qualifier and English Championship matches, in addition to Barca TV.

The Anti-Piracy specialist at MultiChoice Uganda, Charles Masanso, said: “MultiChoice loses because we have invested significantly in the content we bring to Uganda so when another company broadcasts the same it impacts on us.”

Legality of replacing Dstv with Very cheap bEIN Sports in Kenya

dstv kenya, the most expensive pay TV Company in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa is being replaced by the very cheap bEIN Sports Decoder. So it seems the monopoly the Dstv enjoys is slowly coming to an end especially for Premium football content. It’s no secret that Dstv is loosing customers to Startimes and Zuku for viewers who do not like football content. View it like this, a family man can have Zuku or Startimes TV installed at his house so that his wife and kids can watch movies and cartoons. The same guy usually watches the EPL in a club somewhere.
So where does this leave clever Kenyans who want to watch the EPL frJom the comfort of their houses? The answer is bEIN sports. Who or what is bEIN sports? bEIN sports is a company that has acquired the rights to broadcast premium football content in the Middle East and North Africa regions. They use the Eutelsat 7West satellite to beam their content and this same beam is easily receivable in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda and with bigger dishes in Tanzania too. I won’t lie to you or beat around the bush, bEIN is live in Kenya and East Africa at large
But its not legal to have Bein Sports decoder and subscription card in Kenya. Only Dstv has the right to air the Premium football content from Europe, so if they get you they will confiscate your equipment and probably press charges against you. Why?
Dstv has a range of Supersport channels that has a huge following because it airs the main European football leagues. All the Supersport channels are all available in the Premium Package that costs around Ksh7000 per month. bEIN Sports has a sharp contrast of a price; it offers all football action for an amount averaging Ksh13, 000 per year. When I say everything I mean everything from the EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Carling Cup, FA Cup and any other you might think of.
To prove to you the popularity of bEIN sports in Nairobi alone, look at the following Ad I pulled from the capital classifieds website . By the time I viewed this Ad, it had already been viewed 123 times. Here is the link how many more vies has it received by now? Tell me in the comments section please. Here is the link to the Ad.
“Save over 100k this season on sports !!!!!! Get the entire 2014/2015 sports season ……. at the cheapest cost ever. All events LIVE with English commentary and in HD. On an HD FTA Beinsports decoder………….with a valid subscription card ”
This is definitely a bEIN sports decoder installer in Nairobi and its environs.
Let’s do the math
Dstv 7,000 X 12 Months is Ksh84, 000 per year
bEIN Ksh13, 000 per year
The difference is Ksh71, 000
Many pub owners are realizing this and are going for the cheaper decoder. In fact this is the best alternative to Dstv for a small pub, club or football hall.
Where to get it
You cannot get the bEIN sports decoder in any shop in Kenya. So where else do you get it? Guys in Nairobbery usually import the decoder directly from Dubai. After installation the activation is done with contacts in the UAE too.
But here lies the problem
Multichoice has the sole rights to offer football content in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Africa. bEIN Sports on the other hand, being a company from the Middle East, has the rights to offer football or should I say Soccer content to countries in the Middle east and North African Regions.
The language is another problem, all bEIN sports channels broadcast in Arabic apart from two English channels only, but that does not stop Kenyans from getting this decoder. I am not a football fan but I believe football does not have a language, its a universal language on its own.

Jobs/Vacancies / 7 Ways To Tell If Your Job Interview Went Well.. With An Employment Offer Coming by mrlycan: 10:49am On Jul 20, 2017
You step out of the job interview, take a deep breath and relax on your journey home after what can be a hugely stressful experience – especially if you really, really want the role.
But then the worry quickly beds in. Did I say the right things? Was the potential employer impressed? Should I chase up the recruitment agent or HR after not hearing anything after a few hours?
It can be hard to gauge just how well an interview has gone - and not much you can do to influence the employer once you step out of the interview.
As part of our Interview Cheat Series, we explore the key signals that show the interview has gone well.

1. Did it turn into a casual chat?
If you step out of your job interview and it felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interrogation, your skills and experience probably are not the only thing that clicked with the interviewer - and it could be a clear indicator they see you as a solid team fit.
It may show that you would slide in easily with the company culture and also proves you would have a good working dynamic if you got the job, according to Reed.
If you notice that your interview began to focus less on the formalities and more on what kind of films or music you like, the chances are you have done well.

2. Was body language positive?
ASK YOUR INTERVIEW QUESTION
If you focused on getting your answers nailed on, you might not have paid full attention to the interviewer's reactions - and these are a key sign of how well the interview went.
You can often gauge how an interviewer feels about you just by looking at them.
If they were fully engaged and giving positive feedback you can be sure you are on the right track.
Reed adds that you should be wary of the tell-tale 'I'm only here because I have to be' signs, for example uninterested silences, slouching, lack of eye contact and continuous clock watching from the interviewer.

3. Did they make an effort to sell the job?
Although every interviewer will talk about what the role is about, not all will make a real effort to spark your interest.
If you noticed the interviewer was giving a detailed explanation of what the job entails - including exactly what 'you'd' be doing – while listing the perks and benefits of working for them, the likelihood is you've made a decent impression.
It is an even better sign if they actively linked back to how that matches your skills and interests.
It means they wanted to make the position work for you – not just any candidate.

4. Were future projects mentioned?
How can you tell if your working relationship has a future? The interviewer would probably mention to you where it's going.
If they talked about how they would use your expertise into their future projects, plans, and developments and brought in other members of the team to discuss, it is likely you are a top contender for the role.
Not only does it show that they can see you adding value by working there, it also means you made a good enough impression to actually last, according to Reed.

5. Did you meet the team?
An invitation to meet the team is essentially a colleague trial run to show if you would fit in well with the characters already bedded into the firm.
It also means you have probably impressed in the interview and the recruiter is keen to see how you interact with the team before they make a final decision.
The advice here is to to keep impressing by staying polite and friendly with everyone you meet.
It is also the perfect opportunity for you to get a feel of the working environment.
Something as simple as a tour of the office or a chat with your potential colleagues can often be enough to figure out if a workplace is really right for you - and again shows the interviewer is probably keen for you to start.

6. Did the interview overrun?
Interviewers are likely to be busy people - bosses and team leaders will have a number of day-to-day tasks sandwiched into their day.
YOUR TIPS

What signs do you look out for to know the interview has gone well?

Let us know in the comments section below.

Among interviews, appointments, meetings, and general tasks, free time is probably rare.
This means that they have to stick to their schedules and allocated timeframes… that is, unless it's worth it, say experts at Reed.
If your interview ran over the scheduled running time, it is almost always a positive sign.
Not only do they want to learn more about you, they also don't mind sacrificing their precious time for it.

7. Was a start date mentioned?
The key to figuring out whether the 'start date' question indicates your interview is going well is to focus on how it was delivered, according to Reed.
For example, if your interviewer quickly asked this in addition to a number of other generic questions – they are probably going through the motions.
However, if they asked it alone, and followed up with other questions and comments about your availability, it is likely to be a sign they are considering employing you and are willing to work around your schedule if necessary.

And if you get invited to a second interview…
The good news - they want to see you again. The bad news - you are going to have to do it all again.
If you are invited to a second interview straightaway, you can be sure you did a good job – especially if they ask you before the interview's even over.
Although it might seem daunting to go through this process again, don't let nerves make you forget the positives.
They already like you, so repeat the process again and you are bound to continue to impress those who matter in your potential new company.
A spokesman for Reed, concludes: 'Even if you think a job interview went well, it's a good idea to keep your options open and continue getting your CV out there.
'Having some alternative applications to fall back on in case things don't turn out as planned will keep your job search moving.
'If you feel that the interview went badly, it's important not to panic. Take the time to reflect on your performance and consider what you could do differently next time around.
'It might not feel like it at the time, but every single interview you go to will teach you something different – so don't miss out on an opportunity to learn.'
