Na their way. When BAT was putting down structures and machinery in place to increase Lagos IGR, they were deaf and dumb. Only to later start claiming credit when his efforts started yielding fruits. Now they have started claiming credit for Amosun's ingenuity in dramatically increasing the IGR of the state.

The million dollar question no one is asking is, why is it that it is only in other people's land their supposed high IGR impact is being felt? Abi dem swear for their states not to also record high IGR from their traders? Or all their state governors are just too incompetent? Na their way.
People have asked them. They turn deaf and blind immediately.

Yoruba Language is already compulsory
Is it every day, and wide spread across all States? I thought it was only partially compulsory.

I would also suggest that yoruba Indigenes clamor for the Yoruba language to be mandatory in all public and prove schools. That should be an easy task for governors to abide with if they have any sense of self pride.

Mrnairalandd:
I am coming up with a proposal to all our states in South West region of Nigeria-Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun state that all lands should only be leased for period of 5years to Non indigenes instead of outright acquisition. In this proposal, Yorubas ll be asked to ask for few documents before a land ll be leased to non-indigenes. A letter from a head of a family and local govt identification should be part of documents to ask for before the transaction even allow to take place.

I strongly believed we need this to prevent non-indigenes from polluting our cultures, traditions, politics and many other things.

It’s high time we come together as Yoruba people and protect our nation within a nation called Nigeria. Let’s create an Odua nation that our children ll be proud of tomorrow.

Moving forward, i will like to read your views about this proposal.
I agree with your proposal wholeheartedly.

The simplest solution is Yorubas become more aggressive and protective of their heritage. I hope AreOnaKankafo is watching, listening and developing matching strategies. We must make the Igbos pay a very very high price - without a single incident of violence. They are in our land...most of their children are already lost. They are already paying a high price without realising it.
This is very true. They are becoming yorubanized by the second. Every Igbo I know speaks Yoruba or at least understands it. Some of them are more Yoruba than Igbo at this point. As long as Nigeria exists, the only thing that will stop this is if we make the yoruba culture so potent that once they step foot in our lands they become yoruba. Southwest governors need to further this along quicker. They need to make the yoruba language mandatory in all public and private schools everyday, not just on some days. They should make it be the official language of all political organizations and media. Give it 1 generation and their children will be Yoruba. And those refusing to become yoruba will naturally serve as second class citizens and won't even bother coming.

Gone are the days where people buy land and even encroach other people's properties for their gain in Ogun state. It is now an old story. The CFO is made compulsory for the indigene of the state first before other indigenes of SW of which the favour still tingle to them as well due to what was unfolded of recent as regards landed properties in the state.

It's not about boasting but I couldn't but totally agree with you on the bolded. Visited kuto and sapon market some weeks back as I almost felt am in Onitsha market (not about the dirty aspect which ofcourse most markets in Abeokuta are clean but the language..., na so so Igbo language naim I dey hear) The massive emigration of SE indigenes to SW most especially Lagos, Ogun and Oyo is becoming alarming.
Bros, you better start speaking up to your government for people who can't see what's happening. Closed mouths don't get fed.

No. It's on the way up so they want to rush in and benefit from all the hard work by Yorubas.

It's annoying. They're like that school kid that didn't do any work in the group project, joined at the last minute, and has the biggest mouth.

solemnly Igbo agenda. The organization made it clear that
this is not an Igbo affair, it's a coalition of different ethnicity

I think it is good gesture, I call on Federal government, all
the state government to rally to the support of this agenda
toward bring to an end the tribalism and non-indigenious
discrimination in this country.
It will also help to harmonize and detribalize Nigeria make

You Igbo people suffer from delusion
Massive delusions of grandeur. I honestly would prefer if they were joking with these stats they like to make up, but I know they're not. I've never seen a people so easily accepting of fantasy and lies without analysis or critical thought. If they were 50% to 60%. They wouldn't NEED this group, because they would already be the majority voting. Again, they just surprise me every time.

Just because you don't see Yoruba people go to your land does not mean we don't travel. There are many Yoruba people in the north south south.
Yes. A friend and I were recently talking about how when we travel to the U.S we randomly hear yoruba on the bus and just walking around everywhere. Its amazing. Same in U.K.

grin But "it's a pan Nigerian group", so that makes it okay! .....Right? Except it's not pan Nigerian because it excludes the Yorubas. So what is it then? I don't know what the better name would be. The "Covert Igbo Interests Group" or the "Everyone but Yorubas club, led by Igbos". No matter what you call it, it's trash, and it's not pan nigerian. They should just rename it already because no one is falling for this crap.

While your modus operandi is commendable, it is limited in scope and results as the igbos will wear you out with hate. No other tribe has the capacity for hate as the igbos in Nigeria.

You will eventually get tired and lose out. For igbos, the renewed hate is a zero sum game as they know that other tribes are appalled at their attitude but they will never stop till they elicit a violent reaction which will be followed by cries and pleas to international bodies for claims on genocide and crimes against humanity.

From my assessment of their new strategy of mass migration to yorubaland, I think they have resolved to take the war to us in our homeland and I am confused about what response we have give to this their new strategy.

In short, I am tired of them as a people. They are succeeding in their bid to frustrate millions of their country men. The only punishment we can mete to them now is not to allow them into aso rock. As for other measures we can use to push them out of yorubaland specifically, I am short of ideas as of now(as I am sure our leaders are).
The bolded is so true that I busted out laughing. It's like a woman who makes her husband angry so that he will attack her and she can scream to the world about how horrible of a husband he is. It's crazy grin grin grin

That's how you choose to see it. They are not looking to be treated better than the indigenes rather they are creating an avenue to be heard and treated equally and fairly. This is not just constitutional right. This is human rights.
so why not include Yorubas? Do they not deserve to be treated really and fairly too?

lol I know this. I argue more for the other gullible Yorubas who don't see these things as a problem. People are waking up. Earlier this year, Yorubas were unaware of the character of the ibos and what they think about the Yorubas, and how they act. Now people are finally waking up. I can see the difference in the responses like night and day, and it's working. I only respond to reveal insidious acts against the Yorubas. Nothing more, nothing less.

That is exactly what they have done. They have just included other regions to make it seem like a pan Nigerian group. The igbos conceptualized and spearhead this group.

We should just be watching them as I am confused about their issue at this point.
They love to think they're smart and slick, but it's so easy to see right through them.

It is their home too. You didn't have to welcome them for them to move there. The Nigerian constitution already guarantees their right to do so.
There's nothing wrong with Nigerians moving anywhere in the country. But to create organizational bodies that favor non indegenes over indegenes is my problem. If they were for true Nigerian unity, they wouldn't name an organization the "everyone but you" club.

This shouldn't require explanation. You see the problem in this, you just want to defend it at all costs because it serves in your interest. But if the yoruba governors were to create government policies for indegenes, you would clearly cry foul, because ibos aren't included. This is what people mean when they say ibos are hypocrites.

But the thing is that this group comprises of all Nigerians who are not from the state but for some reason, they are pointing fingers at igbos only.

The group have people from SS, SE, NC, NW and NE. It in not tribal.

Yet they end up singling out igbos.
Probably because it was founded by igbos, dominated in numbers by igbos and are only including other regions so that when people call it out for the crap that it is, ibos like you can play dumb and deny it by saying "it includes other regions too!!"

Long overdue.

The Yorubas can create theirs in the East. Nobody is holding them.
The difference is yorubas don't care about your east. It is your home. It would be disrespectful to be welcomed in someone's home, and then challenge the head of the household to create rules and regulations of his own house. The ibos lack simple laws of respect and decorum, it just continues to baffle me on why that is.

I take this personally because I am a native of Ogun State. But I know this group won’t gain much traction as they will continue to be viewed as visitors to the state. Igbos seriously love to be hated but we should ignore them while guarding our interests jealousy.

Igbos have nothing to lose anymore so they want to drag the country down at all costs.
I used to share this same sentiment for years. Just ignore them. But it's come to the point that they think they can normally do things like this, and when others do the same back to them it's "see, Yorubas/hausas hate us!". They think it's normal for them to do this, and abnormal for anyone else. So this year I've given up on that. They should be reciprocated with everything they dish out. That's the only way they can learn to behave better. They want to turn a legal dispute into a tribal one, so can everyone else. #boycottdiamond. They want to call other tribes negative names, then they are iyanmiris. They create this, Yorubas should create the Yoruba Indigene Rights Group. The time for turning the other cheek is over.
PoliticsRe: Non-Yoruba Indigenes In South West Regroup Under NYIEI by MrMaestro: 11:45am On Dec 26, 2017
Anyway I find this group funny. The ibos can see the rise of the Yorubas in economics, business, and industry in the next 10 years and are trying to check this power. It is impossible. If Fashola could deport ibos at his whim, then there's nothing that can be done. Southwest governors have never been more united. So at this point, it is best to not get on the yoruba government's bad side. Because if they feel targeted by ibos and non indegenes, fashola's deportation would only be the beginning.

Igbos are not interested in torturing anyone. They are too busy for that. I am personally neutral on this issue because I don't live there with the groups to know if their demands is warranted.

But they are not breaking any NIGERIAN laws by making those demands.
They are breaking Nigerian freedom laws by specifically creating a group excluding the yorubas. "Non Yoruba..." The Southwest government could shut this down tomorrow if they decided to.
