It is from this comment that I got a new light on him and his wisdom. If you don't understand the position Nigeria plays for Black people and the prosperity of the African race at this point in time, then you're not paying attention. Largest economy, largest black population, largest gdp. We should be tackling issues facing black people around the world that doesn't have anyone to fight for them (like haiti). Instead we can't even get our act together. When France forced black Haiti to pay billions of dollars for their freedom or face war, Nigeria should've been the one to step in, protect, and fight with the haittians. But instead we were busy being corrupt, selfish, and ignorant of the things going on in this world, and THAT is the reason why Black people in US and all over the world continue to get disrespected! Do you think white people could kill Chinese people in their countries and not have the might of China fall on their head? Black people are disprespected because we have no strength, because we refuse to stand together due to selfishness. Until this changes, things will remain the same.

Totally in agreement with this. I also think street hawkers should be limited and slowly phased out too. If you can't properly work with the govt and operate in a Lagos market, then you shouldn't be allowed to sell just anything. Some of the foods people are selling roadside may not even be sanitary, but because they're not localized, they can't be inspected by food administrations like they are abroad. We need more organization in Lagos and the rest of Nigeria. I'm all for this.

All the Yoruba intellectuals and leaders, all in one room thinking about how to create economic prosperity for our people and move forward. There is nothing more beautiful to see! Nothing will force incompetent governors to get their act straight more than being around governors doing better than you (Ambode and Amosun). I'm sure that the DAWN (Development Agenda for Western Nigeria) was one of the chief architects of this. The leaders of that group want Yoruba prosperity come hell or high water. bro, ogun has dwarfed Lagos in terms of foreign direct investment. So this FCT argument is not only false, but extremely irrelevant at this point. There's one thing that connects greatness of ibadans cocoa house and television innovation, Lagos as an economic hub, and Ogun leading all of Nigeria in foreign direct investment by a VERY large margin: Yorubas.

Does that mean Yoruba people will benefit from this more than the English that have created a country beneficial for their offspring, which drastically outnumbers our own offspring in that country? Naturally Lagos and the Southwest will always take the initial FDI. Once it gets saturated for investors, that's when you'll see things spread to the other sides of Nigeria. Due to the region and the way things are going, I think the Southwest will always get things first. First to FDI, widespread modern public transportation systems (BRT systems have already spreaded to ibadan and abeokuta). First to widespread fiber optic internet (starting in Lagos now), etc. It's similar to Shanghai and how it played out in China, to today it's still the economic/investment hub of China

An overhaul that will near totally eliminate the frequent spasms of systemic malfunctioning that are in-built into the present protocols of national association.

Agreed. But prodding or not, what I stated is true. Not to sound tribalistic but the evidence is there. The Yorubas have been a step ahead of every other tribe for many major accomplishments and industries for a very long time. I mean, the two of the competing e-commerce sites are yoruba created. Even the biggest Nigerian forum we are communicating with now was created by a Yoruba guy.

Many Yoruba are contempt because we have been succeeding IN SPITE of Nigeria. But honestly, we can do soooooo much better on our own. We still have the first African to have a Nobel prize, the first African to fly around the world, one of the first industrialized industries in Coco, we had the first television network in sub Saharan Africa, our entrepreneurship has created many industries in Ogun. If we didn't have the dead weight of Nigeria, yorubaland would have been Singapore or Japan by today. So I honestly support disintegration.

All Eastern states were developed by the federal government allocation anyway, and most tax comes from Lagos and ogun state, so honestly, most Yorubas have been developing the East more than the people in the East themselves.

Regardless of if it's implemented by law. There needs to be an increase in our own responsibility. If you have family members in development, whether it be uncles, aunts, fathers, cousins, etc, you need to sit them down (today) and tell them to think about what they're doing, who they're selling to, and how that will effect yorubaland for future generations. Your yoruba forefathers didn't make you responsible for Nigerians, white people did. Not to say no one else can benefit from what we do, but our primary responsibility is for future yoruba generations. This is what every people do in the world. The English, the Scottish, the Jews, everyone. Those who don't do this wind up with children without a homeland.
