Diarrhea refers to a condition in which the person undergoes watery stools more than thrice in a day. By taking proper diet you can sustain yourself from diarrhea instantly. Diarrhea can be a result of various factors like- unclean food, infections, parasitic invasions, intestinal disease, harmful virus or surgical removal of gallbladder etc. Often, some foods don’t at all go with your body and when you consume them also diarrhea will attack you. A variety of reasons can cause diarrhea; so unless you find out the reason behind it you cannot decide upon the food and treatment you are supposed to take. The common outcome of diarrhea is dehydration. Body looses all its fluids and sodium and potassium salts rapidly due to diarrhea. All these fluids should be immediately replenished to the body to save it from collapsing. Symptoms of dehydration include fatigue, skin dryness, less urination, giddiness and unquenchable thirst. If a kid is suffering from diarrhea then you can administer drugs like Infalyte and Pedialyte. Only when diarrhea is stopped you can get back to your normal diet. Until then avoid foods like milk products, oily foods and foods containing higher levels of sucrose and fiber. Once the diarrhea comes down you can slowly start taking skinless chicken, boiled potatoes, rice, properly cooked carrots, etc. Water, broth, fresh fruit juices can provide some relief during diarrhea. During diarrhea the following foods will provide great solace to your tummy: Pulpless fruit juices, canned fruits, bananas, green beans, bread made out of refined wheat, plain rice, oatmeal, etc. Cook the vegetables properly. Uncooked will affect your digestive system. Foods containing soluble fiber like boiled potatoes, orange and grape fruit, cream of rice, cream of wheat are also allowed. If the diarrhea is accompanied by cramps or blood stools or high fever then you better rush to the doctor immediately. Uncontrolled diarrhea will affect your body day after day. Acute dehydration will leave your body fragile, and vulnerable. You wouldn’t be able to perform daily activities and lead a normal life. Healthy diet will replenish the lost body salts and fluids instantly and sustains your body metabolism. Take a balanced diet and rest well until you are free of diarrhea. Diarrhea caused due to normal improper food etc will go off in a day or two on its own. You need not worry about it much. Just be cautious about your diet. If diarrhea prolongs for several days then it is a serious condition and seeking professional medical assistance is a must. Sometimes diarrhea affects individuals when they are traveling abroad. Such a condition is known as traveler’s diarrhea. If you suffer such circumstances avoid eating cooked food that was prepared in unhygienic conditions. Do not drink tap water and carry a bottle of mineral water along with you. Avoid eating raw meat or any other meat whose origin you are not sure about. Try to take fresh veggies, salads, fruits and fruit juices. Depend more on the canned or fresh food rather than the cooked items. Drink lots of water constantly. Birthing a child isn't a problem to anyone. Where the problem comes is when you birth a child without considering any of these 9 factors. 1. A child should enjoy some comfort na. There is nothing wrong if he has her own room or a space enough for her to breathe while growing up. 4. Your Presence matters: A child grows to know her parents, this means the presence of his or her parents are of utmost importance as it plays a very important role in his or her development. Its not enough to birth a child and dump him or her somewhere because you feel your parents, friends are there to look after the baby because you're busy. No. The baby needs you both. I know there are nursery homes where you can drop your baby before going to work, this is true but also ensure you make out time to go see this baby and know what he or she gets from the hands of the caregivers. 5. Your lifestyle: If this is going to be your first baby, then I'm sorry you really need to sit back and talk go yourself. Why? Because the moment you become a mum, everything about your lifestyle changes. Whatever decision you'll make must have a part of it that'll consider your baby. With this, it therefore means that if you're the type that loves to groove, party, club and travel, you may want to take a pause before having that baby. If you do, you may never become happy afterwards since your lifestyle will be affected by the presence of the baby. Don't forget you'll also breastfeed the baby, clothe him and all other things, which you may not have time for if you're not prepared for it. 6. Who is there to support you? Well, even if you're such a good and industrious lady, you're surely going to need the help of someone when a baby comes in. This support does not really have to be your partner only. I know a lot of women who still find it hard to balance their time in terms of having a job and a baby at the same time. While some claim its nothing, others find it hard to concentrate or at least pay much more attention yo the most important one. Therefore, plan a baby if your colleagues or team mates can work as usual or manage the business well while you're away for antenatal leave. But if you want to chase your career goals with your full time, then delay that baby. You don't want to end up regretting any of them at the end of the day. 9. What about your other kids? You have 2 kids already, but you want to add JUST ONE MORE KID? are you sure you can handle 4 infants on pampers? Do you even have enough to spread among these babies? Is the space in tour house enough not to make them choke or do you want them to be lapping each other while sleeping? Well, if you have less than enough to care for the ones you already have, then I see no reason why you'll want to add one more. Monkeypox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus. The disease was first identified in laboratory monkeys, hence its name, but in its natural state it seems to infect rodents more often than primates. The disease is indigenous to Central and West Africa. An outbreak that occurred in the United States in 2003 was traced to a pet store where imported Gambian pouched rats were sold. Monkeypox virus is a zoonotic viral disease that occurs primarily in remote villages of Central and West Africa in proximity to tropical rainforests where there is more frequent contact with infected animals. Monkeypox is usually transmitted to humans from rodents, pets, and primates through contact with the animal's blood or through a bite. Human monkeypox can be difficult to distinguish clinically from smallpox (to which it is closely related) and chickenpox (to which it is not). Monkeypox virus which causes the disease in both humans and animals was first identified in 1958 as a pathogen of crab-eating macaque monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) being used as laboratory animals. The crab-eating macaque is often used for neurological experiments. Monkeypox virus is an Orthopoxvirus, a genus of the family Poxviridae that contains other viral species that target mammals. The virus was first discovered in monkeys (hence the name) in 1958, and in humans in 1970. Between 1970 and 1986, over 400 cases in humans were reported. Small viral outbreaks with a death rate in the range of 10% and a secondary human to human infection rate of about the same amount occur routinely in equatorial Central and West Africa. The primary route of infection is thought to be contact with the infected animals or their bodily fluids. The first reported outbreak in the United States occurred in 2003 in the midwestern states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, with one occurrence in New Jersey. The outbreak was traced to a prairie dogs infected from an imported Gambian pouch rat. No deaths occurred. The virus can spread both from animal to human and from human to human. Infection from animal to human can occur via an animal bite or by direct contact with an infected animal’s bodily fluids. The virus can spread from human to human by both respiratory (airborne) contact and contact with infected person's bodily fluids. Risk factors for transmission include sharing a bed, room, or using the same utensils as an infected patient. Increased transmission risk associated with factors involving introduction of virus to the oral mucosa. Incubation period is 10–14 days. Prodromal symptoms include swelling of lymph nodes, muscle pain, headache, fever, prior to the emergence of the rash.The rash is usually only present on the trunk but has the capacity to spread to the palms and soles of the feet, occurring in a centrifugal distribution. The initial macular lesions exhibit a papular, then vesicular and pustular appearance. Prevention and treatment Currently, there is no proven, safe treatment for monkeypox. Smallpox vaccine has been reported to reduce the risk of monkeypox among previously vaccinated persons in Africa. The decrease in immunity to poxviruses in exposed populations is a factor in the prevalence of monkeypox. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that persons investigating monkeypox outbreaks and involved in caring for infected individuals or animals should receive a smallpox vaccination to protect against monkeypox. Persons who have had close or intimate contact with individuals or animals confirmed to have monkeypox should also be vaccinated. The people who have been infected can be vaccinated up to 14 days after exposure. CDC does not recommend preexposure vaccination for unexposed veterinarians, veterinary staff, or animal control officers, unless such persons are involved in field investigations. Symptoms/Cures In humans, monkeypox is similar to smallpox, although it is often milder. Vaccination against smallpox is assumed to provide protection against human monkeypox infection considering they are closely related viruses and the vaccine protects animals from experimental lethal monkeypox challenge. Patients typically experienced prodromal symptoms of fever, headaches, muscle aches, chills, and drenching sweats. Roughly one-third of patients had nonproductive coughs. This prodromal phase followed 1–10 days later by the development of a papular rash that typically progressed through stages of vesiculation, pustulation, umbilication, and crusting. In some patients, early lesion will become ulcerated. Rash distribution and lesions occurred on head, trunk, and extremities; many of the patients had initial and satellite lesions on palms, soles, and extremities. Today on GuardianConstructors, i am going to share with you a story. Its a story that i know would serve as an eye opener to you as a would be landlord or a Nigerian trying to have one or more things fixed in the house. It would serve as a guide to you when you want to install BEDC, PHCN Prepaid meters in your home. Read and be enlightened. When this client was about installing prepaid meters, I called BEDC headquarters in Benin and made a lot of inquiries in how possible it would be to get the prepaid meters. The customer care agent that responded to my call honestly told me that meters aren't available at the moment. He also told me that it'll take like 2 months to process it. I relayed same to my client but he was obviously not listening. He failed to listen and claimed his brother from his state is a staff of BEDC and would bring and install 6 prepaid meters within 3 days. I said OK. After all he's well connected, he's a rich man. I was asked to take the supposed BEDC staffs to the compound. On our way, I noticed the so-called BEDC staffs spoke in some funny codes that were clear to me. They also made eye contacts and seeing this alone, I knew their way nor pure. They saw the compound, they made estimates for Wires and other necessary materials required to fix the meters. Well, it was 6 prepaid meters in total and my client was asked to pay N34,000 per meter. This amounted to a total of N204,000 and my client was quite ready to dish out all that cash to them. He gave me the N204,000 but I gave them just N85,000 to begin the work. This act caused a little issues between my client and I though but na beer and BBQ settle am las las. Gave the men the money and relaxed for then to bring the prepaid meters in 3 days as they promised. 4th day, No show. 7th day no show. Client called me, I laughed over the phone because to me, my prophesy and predictions for which he'd hushed me was coming true. I felt like a prophet. 12th day, no show. Worries and complains came. I still laughed sha. I began my own private investigation. I went to the nearest BEDC branch office closest to me and inquired of the 2 supposed BEDC staffs. "They used to work, but as a result of gross misconduct and acts against the ethics of the BEDC, they were fired" - my client was shocked. As a street boy wen I be, I begin ask questions, located one of the men and had him arrested. He had to cough out the money I gave to him and show us the other man. He did show us the location of his cothief, but the money, he claim they shared it and he'd used his share to pay his rent. I felt like slapping the block off his head, but no. I don't want to reduce my groom price. I really have a zero tolerance for gross stupidity. Well, he promised to pay back and so did his other mutherfucking smoker drunkard cothief. Till date, they're still looking for his to come up with the money. Meanwhile, I took my client to the BEDC office, we paid the the prepaid meters and within 2 months, they were supplied, fixed 2 weeks ago and now he's free. For yelling at me for not giving the complete 204k to the thieves, he's apologized and even have me a very nice gift for it. I saved his ass na. There alot of hungry impersonators out there trying so hard to catch a prey. Do not be their hare or goat. And so if you're out to install a prepaid meter in your compound, please make sure you're contacting the right persons. Go to the right office and pay for it. Do not use backdoor cos it might backfire and lead to a huge loss. If possible, ask for Express processing and pay for it as it would enable you get what you want within a short time.
