Well well well I smile anytime I remember how how I went about wooing the girl I first crushed on. I had just moved into a new secondary school and she was one of the first friends I made during that period. During the course of our numerous discussions,we both found out we hailed from the same LGA.This strengthened our bond and we grew close. ![]() Naturally,I developed feelings for her and even though I didn't say so because shyness wan finish me,It showed in the way I talked to her, looked in her eyes, held her hands tenderly, etc. I guessed she liked me too because she responded in the show of affection. The whole class were calling us oko ati iyawo ![]() I would slip in little love notes in her books, maths set or any other place I was sure she'd find them.I never got to kiss her like I always yearned to do because I no get the mind. She later left our school then for another and we tried to stay in constant phone communication.Though I didn't have a phone,I called her with my mom's own and we would speak for long minutes on nothing particular. We both felt for each other but looking back now,I should have grabbed the situation by the jugular by officially asking her to be mine.I never did though because of fear .We still kept in touch then when 2go started maving waves.I didn't have money to purchase a phone so I bought battery and sim card.I would charge the battery full and load 100 naira recharge card for 10mb(na that time 10mb dey last for almost two weeks).I would take them to school and whenver the phone battery of my classmate died,I would beg to put my sim and battery so I could log in and chat with her .We continued that way for some time then grew distant because of irregular communication and I heard she was now paroling with another guy in her school. Can't blame her though,I was kinda naive in how that relationship thing worked else I'm sure I'd have possibly deflowered her in the school toilet or intro tech lab before she left. |

Tinubu is many things to different people but one thing everyone can't deny is that he's a man of great influence and power. It would be nice to read an autobiography of this man to know how he has managed to stay this politically relevant for almost 30 years now. |

Many have regarded Yakubu Aiyegbeni as a football legend but when and how did he become one? This isn't even about his miss in South Africa. What remarkable point did he achieve that has made him worthy of being conferred a legendary status? Throughout his career in the EPL,he notched 96 goals in total. These are good numbers but poor for legendary rankings when you consider his goals didn't win his team any trophies. Ask the Egyptians to mention a legendary Egyptian player in the PL and every hand will be pointed at Salah. Ask the Ivoriens to mention legendary Ivorien players in the PL and the likes of Yaya Toure and Drogba will be mentioned Ask the Senegalese and Mane will be mentioned. These players' legendary status can't be questioned because they've scored important goals, put in various heroic shifts on the pitch and more importantly, brought home laurels that were lacking at their respective clubs. Can you really put Yakubu in the same class as the above named African legends ![]() Even Aubameyang that is a consistent scorer and an EPL Golden boot winner cannot be classed as a legend. How much more Yakubu? On the international scene, what did Yakubu offer the national team in the Nations cup or the world cup that is worth remembering? Absolutely nothing. Is Yakubu a good player?Yes Is Yakubu a football legend?Nope Is Yakubu a legend of open goal misses that even my grand ma can score?Of course. Lalasticlala Dominique |

When you say 'double date',it doesn't mean to cheat on your partner with another. Double dating involves going out with your partner for a date alongside another couple. When you want to say your partner is cheating, you say 'he/she is a two-timer'. |

Good deal for both parties. Arsenal add the required depth needed to bolster their attacking midfield options while Odegaard gets the required playing time he needs. |
Lampard is bereft of fresh ideas and cannot tactically handle super star signings. Big players require a big manager to go along. Lampard would fare better in a small club with not so much pressure and average or not so talented players. |
