The screening and selection process for the next stage is quite twisted but however straightforward. Let me also mention that applicants evaluation is still ongoing. 1. For applicants who completed their stage 1 by/after June 7, your application is currently being reviewed so do not think the number of days you have waited without any feedback is a sign of progress. 2. For applicants who have completed their stage 1 between 5th and 7th June you will likely get feedback anytime soon. 3. For applicants who have completed their stage 1 before 5th June there is a 95% possibility that your application has been reviewed but awaiting benchmarking. What is benchmarking? After the review of stage 1, all candidates who satisfy the minimum requirement will be shortlisted. If 10 applicants are needed to progress to the next stage for a particular department and 25 applicants satisfy the minimum requirement after evaluation, their profiles will be benchmarked against each other in terms of degree relevance, work experience, class of degree, institution attended, and highest level of degree attained. After this, the top 10 applicants go through to the next stage. So do not presume or assume anything yet. You can only be hopeful. |
I'll tell you everything you need to know about Olam when this thread gets 20 posts |
Firstly I want to commend the efforts of the OP for bringing up such a sensitive topic as this and also applaud the moderators for pushing this to FP. Dear Jambito, I sincerely want to congratulate you on your admission and decision to go to school after all the sleepless nights and years of writing Jamb and post-utme. Indeed you have crossed a great hurdle and entered into a new phase of your life, the phase that would likely determine what will be of you. I am sure alot of your friends out there opted for some other thing other than school and possibly they will start flaunting some cash in a couple of years but this should never deter you in your quest to greatness but rather let it spur you on. Well once again I want to tell you that you have made the best decision of your life and your success lies nowhere else except in your hands and as you know nothing good comes easy especially in this hard and trying times. I would have loved to write an epistle on this but time and space won't permit me so I'll drop 13 rules here for you. I hope you'll adhere strictly to them as I'd love to be proud of you on your convocation ceremony. 1. Don't ever see your admission as a channel to running away from your home/parents 2. Don't abuse your freedom after all nobody knows what you are doing I'm school. 3. Make sure you give in ALL your best in your first two years 4. Choose your friends wisely but don't make enemies with anyone 5. Don't join ANY group in your first year 6. Don't chase girls/boys in your first two years... Safe to say don't think of having any relationship yet 7. Always remember that your primary assignment in school is to STUDY and so should it remain 8. Always think of the consequence of any action or decision you want to make 9. No matter how crowded or uncomfortable the lecture may be never miss any class especially in your first two years 10. Take assignments and assessment as if your life depends on it 11. Identify the academically resourceful people in your class and create a good relationship with them 12. Know your lecturers well and understand fully what they want 13. Never forget your creator as you can do nothing without him. Yours sincerely. |

I must say that I am impressed with all the comments so far but I do not totally agree with them. As it stands in our country today I'll advise everyone to make at least a 2:1 outta skool. The only exception to this is if there's a job waiting for you somewhere or you have some strong connection. Please if you do not fall into any of the above category do not let anyone sweet talk you. For those who have graduated with 2:2 I'll advice that you start getting prepared for your masters and ensure that you finish with a good grade and if you by chance get a job where the level of exposure is excellent I'll advice you go for it but the truth is 2:2 makes your job search a little difficult especially if you are a fresh grad without connect. |
OkunrinMeta:Yes you can ALWAYS apply but your age would let you down once again. There's no harm in trying anyways. Access is a place anyone would like to work |
I have read a lot about the defaming and discouraging write-ups people put in here about access bank but let me shock you by telling you that over 90% of them don't know jack about the bank. If you ever love to work in a bank trust me access is a place to be. Do not let anyone discourage you but make sure you meet all their requirement especially the age..its very important |
This happens in almost every university in Nigeria |
Abirisegun:Yea I agree that doing something is better than nothing...but then you will agree that you have a wrong Job which you and I don't see a career in. Before you know it the aforementioned points by the Op starts setting in if you don't do something fast. |
Very well said but the economic suitation of our country can make an engineer work as a journalist just because he needs to eat. Its only a matter of time before people realise they have not had a career but rather a Job..usually then it is always too late. I have a lot to say but then... |

The engine cylinder is found in the engine block. Its an hollow cylindrical air-tight chamber located in the engine block. The cylinder houses the piston and the entire combustion process takes place in the cylinder. Like someone pointed out earlier, the higher the number of cylinders, the higher the torque and power generated tho it depends on factors like the swept volume of d cylinder, the stroke and bore of the cylinder. But usually, a higher cylinder implies high amount of torque |
Seems nobody here took the test in ibadan |

badinfluence:Am so sorry bro..it was a lil bit of mix up.. No Phc to calabar camp bus sir |
glou:Dear Ms Gloria, 1) You can be excused from camp but only for cogent reasons..Moreover lagos camp isn't as strict as other camps. But to guarantee your exit from camp without so much stress, please apply for exit at least one week before your proposed departure and prepare a wonderful sweet selling excuse for wanting exit. 2) As for PPA prepare your mind for the worse..a teaching Job and as far as teaching is concerned in lagos there are more than enough schools to accommodate all the corp members in Nigeria. 3) I cannot categorically answer the third question but to be on the safer side, get to camp early. 5) Only a few PPA's have lodge. |
