Don't in your quest to go to the town end in a private firm. Most persons regretted serving there at last when others were paid their state allowance once.

I served in Kano State polytechnic, and we were paid 2k/month. For ten months with them, we were paid N20k, but state will pay 60k. So relax and don't try to force your way to the town

There's enough accommodation in Kano Camp, and because of the heat, you won't be stressed much. Feeding is average, you can manage it, or complement it with Mami market. But try to go to dinning, don't spend all your money in Mami, you might need it after service. Hunger can be bad towards the end of the camp period.

Girls to cool off, bros, you can only do it with your fellow Corps members, no Hausa girl will give you such opportunity especially if you can't speak same language with them. same with life after camp, only your colleagues can offer you such wide legs to enter. Except if you can speak Hausa.

Finally, Business opportunities. You can buy something cheap in Kano and send home. I have a colleague who still buy wrapper from Kano to Lagos. The business is profitable. The only problem will be waybill cost. Thanks

Trust me, after camp you can't go a night without mosquito net in Kano. I can't remember sleeping a night without mosquito net throughout the one year service.

About my Kano experience, trust me, after service, I haven't gotten enough time to continue the write up, the summary of it. I have been contemplating writing it on a new thread or to continue with that thread.

Great Kano City

Karaye Camp is one of the best camp in Nigeria. Located very close to a dam, Kusala dam, you will not lack water. The camp is always fumigated, thus, no fear of mosquitoes.

The bathroom are all neat. With showers still running. The only thing about Karaye is the heat, and it situated in a village, so remember to go with enough Cash.

When you get to Kano City, You will drop in a place and you will take a car to the camp direct, that's is you are not going to the camp direct. It's always friendly and everyone always wants to have you in Kano. The great city of Kano is long expecting you, please, feel free to make impact in your service year.

While in camp, your posting will never be influenced by anything save you are a platoon leader or camp commandments. Remember, Kano is now paying, and they pay at the end of the service year for those that served in government schools. Don't in a bid to serve in town, choose private schools that pay nothing .

yes you can submit your transcript by hand and even though the transcript was addressed to UI, they still collect. I submitted mine by hand on the day of my EPT exam and The one I even submitted was addressed to a foreign school and not UI and had even been opened by me.... It is even more advisable you submit by hand cos if u had to be waiting for ur school to send it, it might take a while.
Just print the transcript label and go along with it to preschool to submit during the EPT exams. Which is what I did.

During registration, the transcript demanded, can the student submit with his hand? can he send one without the cover letter that do come along with the transcript?

I have one sent to my family company, but it was not addressed to UI. So I am confused if I can use it or request for one to be sent from my previous school to UI? What do you think? Thanks
