thepathologist:You forgot to mention that world war 1 and 2 was fought about 100 years and 70 years ago respectively and also in the 20th century. We are in the 21the century , where MRI and CT scan machine are being used, small pox eradicated, health professions now a multidisciplinary field, medico legal ethics and jurisprudence respected, professional boundaries maintained.......in civilised countries though....not in my country where everything goes. |

Were these students certified to perform this, is the question... without guidance from a certified professional. It is quarkery in its entity. Didn't see anywhere it is stated that they are being supervised... MDCN released statements of quacks they caught and practitioners that were sanctioned recently but is encouraging encroachment and quarkery in other professions. It is totally unbelievable for someone to defend this. . armadeo: |

Facts are not fables that is handed down to you by your lecturers to massage your ego driven god complex where you are indoctrinated with """ a person who studies other medical science courses failed to enter medical school hogwash"" Facts have primary and secondary sources which is available in print and soft copies for easy access not tales by the moonlight of your HOD's which is synonymous with tales of old folks that have been modified to suit their present audience. I am trying to overlook your tantrums toget to your ignorant arguments. These has been trashed a long time ago on this forum. IF YOU DONT KNOW THE PAST, THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO YOU. I am a polyvalent graduate of life who learnt a bit of this and that in the course of my study before choosing nursing science as a specialty. With history, you have a broad mind not shallow mind that makes educated folks hid their faces in shame. Whatever gets you into nursing school lecture hall is nothing but inferiority complex, can't believe someone with a proposed life will stoop to that ridiculous cheap level or were you sent there to spy...cos there is nothing your parent regulating body can't do. drlawizle: |

drlawizle:Lawyers are call learned professionals because they gains bulks of evidence from documented and proven texts etc and whoop asses with it but educated illiterates like you fails to understand the importance that is why you can't present a good debate without reverting to insults because you lack the substance to act and think rationally . Continue wallowing in self pity and importance if it makes you fell good. No point trading words with you. Already has a larger than life self esteem that is making you squirm in your sit. |

MD's stepping on toes of other professionals for far too long, they lobby, blackmail and cajole to achieve their aims. If you doubt me, check nurse practitioners and physicians turf wars in US. Cry me a river. Presently in Nigeria, there is nothing like chief matron again...wonder whether a male nurse will be called a matron too. Chief nursing officer is the designation and rank which is equivalent to chief medical officer, chief medical laboratory scientists and the rest but not equivalent to a consultant nurse. With a basic degree all these professionals can reach this level but with additional qualifications from the regulating body the officer can be elevated to a consultant level. A proud nurse representing.. 1 Like |

According to me, you should've locked the door while venting this 10 months old massive sexual frustration out of your chest. I mean, vent and arrive at a solution ......if he is not the domestic violent kind of guy ooooo. You've got to tell someone before he do it first, otherwise they will label you as being unfaithful during his trying times. Get him home first, apologize and get yourself a nice huge dilllldo with extra batteries. 3 Likes 1 Share |

50% is for effacement of the cervix ( I.e taking up of the cervix) not cervical dilatation as those above are speculating. Effacement is measured in percentage. Your wife is probably a first timer and that explained why they sent her home because it takes a longer time for the cervix to be taken up in primigravidas. The EDD can come two weeks before and two weeks after so stop fretting and let her monitor the changes in her body. Has she seen ""show"", rupture of water? What exactly lead her to the hospital except the mild contraction ? It might be false labour. It is time for watchful waiting, if you start sweating it the hospital will either induce the labour or perform a cesarean. 2 Likes |

Health / Re: 7 Things I Hate In The Nursing Profession by MrsAwesome: 6:21pm On Sep 24, 2014 |
If you are a nurse just upgrade yourself and wait for the change that will sweep the nursing profession to it's rightful position. Change is dynamic. Stop interacting with mediocres who will be hell bent in making you a shadow of yourself in the course of the job. Nursing is a profession known for eating their young because of high female population therein but that is changing too. Internship is in the pipeline awaiting implementation.....there has been a gradual establishment of colleges of nursing and midwifery, affiliation of schools to universities which are awaiting full approval and implementation from the relevant bodies. Nursing as a result of its large population has to put a lot of mercenaries in motion for this smooth transition, ..other professions have passed these hurdles but we are getting close. The future of nursing is brighter now. I am proud to be a great nurse. God bless the nursing profession. 2 Likes |

lomaxx: A young man fractures his humerus in an automobile accident. As the pain from the injury subsides, he notices weakness on attempted flexion at the elbow. He develops paresthesias over the radial and volar aspects of the forearm. During the accident, he probably injured which one of the following nerves?C- musculocutaneous nerve. Or antebrachial nerve...it passes behind the cephalic vein and divides opposite the elbow joint into a volar and dorsal branch. It originates from C5,6,7 of the lateral cord of brachial plexus , innervates muscles in the anterior (flexor) compartment of the arms and lateral surface of the forearm. The muscles are coracobrachialis, biceps brachii, brachialis,.... Damage to the nerve causes inability to flex and supinate the elbow joint, which if not treated causes weakening and wasting of the muscles of the arms. 4 Likes |

Sophyrocks:Depending on the level of scar or structures chopped off, it causes difficulty in second stage of labour like prolonged second stage, obstructed labour, some likely avoidable episiotomies, perineal & anal tear, and other complications. It caused bilateral episiotomies for me which took time to heal. |

Baby sucks to get fed while guy tickles to give pleasure. Baby when hungry sucks aggressively while guy smooches gently and softly to stimulate pleasure and fun. Except you are masochist, rough stimulation of the breast causes pain and discomfort instead of pleasure, a baby that does that is sometimes hit gently by the mom to desist from doing such talk more of a full grown assss man. |
