Hello everyone and good morning.
DEEAJA, that's an inspiring story. Congratulations and I wish you the best as you get ready to relocate.
So I joined the WhatsApp group for September AOR on Canadavisa and people are starting to pass their medicals. Hopefully not too long wait for us anymore. |

KweenCee: @Impish,Toyogirl,Patterns18,Wura27,....,
Thanks for your response. I will go for a "No" to that particular question as I have already answered "yes" to the question of being refused visa in the past.
Thanks. That's the same thing we did in our application. Long time ago, we were refused UK visas and we responded yes to that but no to being refused entry. Once we went to Paris and we were delayed and asked several questions probably because of the refusal we had. If we had been refused entry, our answer to the refusal if entry question would then have been Yes. |

impish: Hahahahahaha! This made me laff ehn! Initially, I prayed for our file to land in London. I figured oyinbo people would have their act together and that things would move fast there. Hmmmmm.....I danced with joy when we got confirmation that our file was in London. Little did I know.......
At the end of the day, our application took just shy of 5 months, while my friends whose files were in Accra had their applications processed in 3 - 4 months. The point is, yes, I believe that (as Ajujuju2 said) this process teaches us patience, a skill that we would need when we relocate to Canada.
All the same, I pray that London ups their game and starts spitting out PPRs sharp sharp, starting with yours.
God's best,
Mrs. O www.mycanadianfling.com Mrs O I love your blog. Quite informative.it will come in handy when we eventually get our PPR |

Jugdement: Relax MRSDA! Average time from AOR to medical passed has reduced to 10-15 days for FSW- Outland since end of July. PNP timeline still longer.
I submitted my application on the 10th of August and got med passed on the 22nd of August. This gives me some comfort Hopefully we should see a movement before the end of the month then... |

ajiifixing: Apologies on behalf of the house. Please resend your question. I have none at the moment....unless someone knows how to make the days go by fast and how to quickly see Medical passed on my profile. One would think I'm not busy LOL |

ajiifixing: Prior to July it used to take about two months. Anything below that is Favour. Really 2 months from AOR to Medical passed? It's ok...pass me the popcorn and the soda, get me some good movies while at it. I pray we don't have to wait that long. |

It seems it's about 2 weeks for most people between AOR and Medical passed....Cochtrane, have you got any statistics on this? |

Motunrayoadef: Hello everyone. Am new to this forum. Aor is June. Hubby is the principal applicant. After waiting for 3 months , cic sends us a message for "additional info ie schedule A form for me to fill. Am really scared as I don't want to make mistakes. Please any tips or advice would be helpful. Also, our background status after medical passed says " we are processing your background check.... what stage are we in?? Lastly, after uploading the additional info, how long does it take for cicto make a decision. Thanks in anticipation. Their website says they aim to make a decision on every application within 6 months. You are near the finish line. |

Congratulations @TBDL
Looks like it takes about a month to get the medical passed status?
Does this have anything to do with how much time one has between doing medicals and AOR? |

Congratulations to all who just got PPRs and all who got ITAs How many of us are post AOR? If there's anything like that? The wait has only just started and I'm checking status as if I applied several months ago This is going to be interesting... |

Hello every one...
The wait begins...
Application submitted.
I noticed after we submitted the application, the job titles were not aligning with the right documents on our list of uploaded files. Hope that isn't a problem o? It's as if the jobs titles and companies were mixed up.
Is there a way i can sort this out or it's not a problem? |

yimiton: Some banks like UBA now have a monthly limit of $2000 using Naira debit card. Gtbank is $1,000 I think. If your family is 4 or less, you can use your Naira card for banks that have a limit of not less than $2,000. If your family is more than 4 (including you) then, you'll have to either use a dollar denominated Dom account or look for someone in Canada to pay for you and give the Naira equivalent to whoever he chooses. We are a family of 4 and the fees are over 2k. Will try our card and if it doesn't work, will ask a friend to help. |

Ehrnie: Hi - Please don't write anything on an offical document. If you do so, it will be classed as an alteration and can render the entire document unusable (i.e not fit for use). @ Ehrnie Ok thanks for that. Wikl not touch the document Please How did everyone pay for their application? Will they accept a Nigerian dollar card? |

Hello friends, I have come again o....I promise this is the last question before I submit our application!
Please is it ok if i write distance learning with marker on my husband's master's ECA certificate just to note that he did it by distance learning aside the LOE? Or will an LOE right after the certificate suffice? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by MRSDA: 9:57am On Sep 01, 2017 |
Abby2017: Yes, because I felt like I didn't really study in the UK since I didn't go there at all. It is the university that is there and only made use of their distance learning platform. It depends on individual perception sha, not cast in stone.
(Correspondence) in front of university name. OK thank you. Hubby went there a couple of times, and also for graduation. |

So I have written distance learning in bracket, should I change country of study to Nigeria? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by MRSDA: 9:09am On Sep 01, 2017 |
Abby2017: You can put the LOE if it makes you sleep well at night but putting "(correspondence)" in front of your institution name is more important. Also, if he has visited UK for a different reason in his travel history, then the LOE is important to avoid mixup.
I didn't write any LOE for mine, I put the correspondence thing and listed Nigeria as country of education. So you put in Nigeria as your country of study, where did you put the correspondence?
|
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by MRSDA: 9:05am On Sep 01, 2017 |
Where it says country of study, should I write Nigeria or UK? There's a portion that says country of study on the application form. |

ugoiyke79e: Spot on @ Abby2017
She/he should put (correspondence beside the institition name)
Very ver true....no need at all for that additional stressor in this journey.
You have been well advised ma/sir. Pls take heed so that we will celebrate your PPR soonest. Cheers.. Thanks a lot. All advise duly noted. Going to do that just now. You guys are awesome. |

I didn't write any LOE for mine, I put the correspondence thing and listed Nigeria as country of education. Yes he has visited the UK a lot of times aside the Masters so i think the LOE is definitely necessary. |

MrsBee: Yes he does need to explain, it doesn't cost a thing to explain and clear any doubt. Some people have been rejected because of missing PCCs for distant learning degrees, sometimes they reopen the file since it's in error but the stress isn't worth it. Better to dot your i's and cross your t's when you still can. Thank you Mrs Bee. Noted |

Hello house, congratulations to all the new PPR recipients....it will be our turn soon.
So all documents uploaded, just trying to cross the is and dot the t's.
Anyone knows if we need to write an LOE for hubby's masters? He did it by distance learning from the UK so he does not need to get a police certificate.
Does this need to be explained? Please help o...we must submit tomorrow! We have danced around this mountain too long :-) |
