Hello great people.
I've been missing in action. Nothing to report here.
Waiting for bank reference. Is it true some banks don't give reference letters on Salary accounts? |

mamacajah: Well you were lucky and you know things have changed over time.
I got my first transcript 2002, back when they were still using type writers. I have never had any issues in the past because I either went there myself or had someone go for me. I have even gotten transcript when they moved over to computers. I still have a scanned cpy of the last one I collected in 2010, which I have been using for school admission..lol. This was my first time using online process and I still followed up with a staff in school, yet it took 3 months to complete the ECA process from OAU.. hmm... OH another great Ife! |

atigro: Interesting but i can see you used ETX here. Could that be the reason for the delay with OAU and you now suggesting we should use someone on ground for proper and prompt follow-up?
P.S: can u furnish me with cost breakdown? Thanks Great Ife! Greatest Ife, try not to go the ETX route if you can avoid it. If you need someone on ground, I have a contact I can send his details to you. It will cost you a little but it will be way faster than ETX-NG |

mamacajah: Hello All, Please I still need some clarification on this:
So I have finally gotten my ECA from WES completed (HALLELUYAH) after 4 months of back and forth with OAU and I am preparing for my IELTS test. So I need help with the following as I begin to gather the necessary documents for post ITA.
1. NOC- I am yet to sight an NOC for my work experience. My work was logistics HSE / data management related and the only NOC that seems to be close is 1215 but its only one item from the whole NOC description that I can link my work to. Other jobs done can be linked to NOC 1241 (Administrative assistant) and NOC 1411. So which NOCs do I use?
cc:cochtrane OAU transcript is so snail speed! It took me almost 2 months despite using an insider! Then they mistakenly omitted my husband's transcript. If we had know he wouldn't need it since he has a UK masters, would have just not bothered with his. Their excuse for mine was that I graduated 15 years ago and I have never requested a transcript. So what? As for the NOC, just choose the one that has the closest to your job description. All the best |

bigfido: No o.. Don't wait for him to get PR o.. Please hold his trouser like 2 weeks after AOR, drag him to court, put a ring on that finger, then raise a CSE notifying them about the marriage. They will ask you to submit your details then. But please make sure he has submitted, gotten AOR before your marriage date. Very important. If you wait for him to get PR before applying, menopause fit don reach before you see your husband again Hahahaha this post made me laugh so badly! |

closetextrovert: Do you already have your Banker's reference and SOA stating your balance as the equivalent of $25,000? If you do, i personally think you can go ahead and submit but make sure to top it up at the end of the month just incase they request POF again afterwards. There is really no way for CIC to know what your present balance is without you sending the proof to them. We have from over a month ago so we need a current one. |

Good evening everyone. If one started a self employed job in July 2011 for instance but then got the business name registered or incorporated in October, which means your document states October, will it be a problem to write the real date the job was started or one has to go by the document date? |

Ehrnie: Hi – I felt moved after reading this and I can only imagine how the family feels right now. I pray for strength for them and healing for the lil one.
I did a quick research after reading your post and found the following advise / questions –
Did your friend receive a fairness letter? If so, he/she has three choices –
(1) Ignore and receive a rejection letter (2) Challenge it i.e. do your homework because you must present everything to CIC and convince them (3) Provide CIC with a plan to mitigate the cost i.e. evidence that the lil one will not be a burden on the health system
For points (2) & (3) stated above, I will advise your friend presents a detailed information back to CIC, including a comprehensive mitigation plan (private insurance and a medical reimbursement plan to cover 100% of costs).
Furthermore, to challenge the medical opinion, your friend will need letter(s) from doctors stating that the ailment is being managed or can be managed. Your friend can argue that he/she can mitigate the cost should it arise. The case law here is a bit foggy, but your friend must be able to demonstrate a plan to convince the VO. A good PoF can help here too.
Finally, I'd strongly suggest your friend uses an attorney with experience in medical inadmissibility in preparing his/her response. I’m sure not all the attorneys out there are shylocks.
I really pray all goes well, Amen. Thank you for your response. It is really sad indeed. I didn't really know the full meaning of "medical admissibility'till a few days ago. My son almost got flagged when we went for our medicals. The doctor was already asking for all sorts of reports but then he decided to waive it. It was a huge relief! |

bbaby84: I've just recently stumbled upon this medical ish. They give them a fairness letter first and they have to prove they won't be a burden on the Canadian government and then their file is reviewed based on what they've submitted and a decision is made. All the same its very heartbreaking as the whole point of this journey is to give one's family a better life. Are they already at the decision stage or fair hearing stage?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/admiss/excessive.asp I think they contested but lost the case or they gave up. It is definitely sad because like you said the whole point really is to have a better opportunity, especially for the children. After hearing the word medical inadmissibility, i then went to do a lot of research on it and I found out that canada is quite strict. I guess the whole point is for the family to take care of the bills if need arises? I wonder.... |

Hello house, hope everyone is good. Does anyone understand the issue of medical inadmissibility. Someone i know has been denied because of this. Seems Canada is not tolerant to migrant families with children that have learning or special needs. |
