LvG really needs to do something about Rooney. We have been carrying him this season and that's why even though we are just behind city, i really don't think we're close to the title. Very happy with the 3 points and awesome to still have DDG.

Eden Hazard can't even convert from the penalty spot against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. But each time Depay takes on two or three defenders and scores, they'll flood this thread telling us how bad that defense is.

How bad? Adebayor has scored goals in this division before mate (ask gayners) and has also scored goals when he went on loan to real madrid and also at tottenham! His problem is that he "only plays for contracts and cheese' hence my suggestion that his deal would be a "pay as you play performance based one"! His wages would also be meagre at best! Unless you are one of the fans happy to have "fellaini and wilson" as backup strikers when our inevitable injury plagued period of the season comes up? Go and revisit yesterdays 1st half again for some clarity!

I totally agree with you, especially the Wazza part.

I just want Martial to be consistent in his performances to be able to build full confidence. For me he does not even need to be fantastic, just show consistency in this debut season, then we will be sure we have gem in our hands.

You cant expect consistency at this stage of his career. Even Messi at 19 didnt really have that consistency yet. That's the age when they are very inconsistent. We just have to support the kid and take the good with the bad because there will be lots of ups and downs at this stage of his career.

Who idea was it for barca and athletico to wear these kits?

Well that wasnt a shock at all. We're weak upfront. Weak in goal and central defence faced its first true test today. Most people knew Swansea would beat us today afterall they very nearly beat the defending champions at their own place. So they're a very strong side.

What's annoying is every single person can see what the issue with the team is and what needs to be done. But LvG seems to be completely blind to our needs.
Its so obvious the de gea situation is harming us more than helping us, yet we allow it to persist and get a keeper that we all know is obviously not good enough.

We badly need a strong cb partner Smalling. LvG doesnt see that
We need pace on the right wing and mata in behind the striker. LvG also doesnt see this.
The less said about Rooney the better but we've got rid of Di Maria, Falcao, RvP and Nani. No replacements for all these attacking players. We fixed the midfield but allowed everywhere else to deteriorate. A lot of these things are so blindingly obvious but those in charge just cannot see it and its amazing to me.
So it seems like we're might get lucky and finish 4th again now no progress which will be even worse because we would have panic bought some players by 5pm tuesday. May as well bid 200 for Higuain, 300 for whoever else will join and struggle to 4th place again. Here's hoping we get a proper manager in next summer as LvG has allowed league football to pass him by.

5 years is a small sample size in comparison to 10 years.
like i said, the english league's performance has dropped drastically in the last 3 years but that shouldn't be a yardstick to give their slot to italy or even germany. 8 english teams played in the finals in the last 11 seasons......do you know any other league in europe that has dominated it more since 92/93 season?

5 years maybe small or not but it is what is currently used by UEFA and as a result our performances in that last 5 has been declining badly. if we continue at this rate for another 2 then, we would lose that 4th spot deservedly.
