Pointswise. A disaster. Personally I'm done with a whole backline except DDG and Shaw. The rest should be sold and backups should be the kids like Blackett and McNair.LvG is pouring jelly on himself if he doesnt sort out the backline.The fact we havent fielded the same defence consecutively this season is a joke and he needs to sort it out. I really hope he has a plan for January.

No, but with jones he is expected to start while smalling and evans don't have such expectation.

I personally think we should cut our loses with Jones. He cannot be trusted to remain fit. Smalling and Evans can still be backup players.

Personally, i would play one up top and that would be Falcao.

Then i would play, Herrera, Blind and Di Maria with Mata ahead of them. Defence picks itself. Fellaini comes on as sub to be a nuisance if and when required.

I already didvthat a few days ago and I think it is a general consensus here that we have issues there.
But in a way I think we might get through with the way things are playing out. Smalling and Evans are hardly reliable both in terms of performance and staying fit but we could have some potential in McNair and Blackett. Both have had good performances. if either/both can get more games and build confidence, it would be great for us.
Luke Shaw is a huge worry for mr. he looks to be like Evans and Smalling type of spending more time injured.

This is the same Shaw who never got injured at Southampton.

I dont think we're ready to face the elephant in the room regarding our squad yet but maybe by the end of the season. A frank discussion will be had about it. For now. onwards and upwards.

Its only QPR but a few thoughts.

Rafael - So good to see him back. We absolutely need to keep him fit like Evra was for like 5 years.As important as all the new signings.
Di Maria - Just good to see a world class do his thing like world class players do really.
Blind - Comfortable midfielder very much in the Carrick at his best mould.
Rojo - Good debut. fairly solid and composed. still not sure what this means for Luke Shaw though. I like Shaw but I guess we really should have not bought him and spent that money on a top class CB. tell will tell I guess.
Herrera - Good overall performance. worked hard. Pass and move player. Not many long balls which I liked about him. He'll get better and he'll need to for our ambitions.
RVP - I'm a little worried about him. I have a feeling he's going to lose his spot to Falcao.
Rooney - thought he did ok.He'll need to step it up though but he got a goal today which always helps.
Januzaj - Yep he should have passed there but I think we'll need to be patient with this kid. The talent is there but now we can afford to be patient since he doesnt have to start regularly yet.
Blackett - He looks so composed. made a silly error but that was definitely due to lack of experience. He has impressed though and will be unlucky to be dropped when everyone is fit. I always thought the other Keane would be the one to step up but Blackett has definitely taken his spot.

Also, did we field the most left footed players in a starting lineup ever? 6 left footed players I think?

I dont mean James specifically. Its another reason why Isco doesnt get in the team because they both play in a position that doesnt exist in their strongest lineup. And you're right they should have gone all out for a Vidal/Strootman instead of James and that would have served them alot better. Modric and Kroos is never going to work in a midfield 2. That's just asking for trouble.

Well they brought in James for a position that didnt exist in their which unbalanced the team. Now they're paying for it.

Chelsea will take some stopping. Costa is very much in the premier league style. Fabregas to Costa may as well be the name of a player, as we'll be hearing that alot.
