LvG definitely said he was asked if he wanted Shaw and Herrera as they were two players they could complete deals on and he said yes he liked both of them. |

Nihilist: Could this be a reason why Di Maria and Cuadrado are yet to sign? Are the reluctant to be converted into fullbacks at this stage in their career? That is such an amazing stretch to deduce from that quote. |

n0m0705: I think Fellaini was good yesterday, he took control of the midfield when he came in, and as I have always believed he will come good for us as a defensive midfielder he only need to check his tackling. He lacks the mobility at the highest level to play that role. He would get eaten up by Matic and co. |

RuuDie: I think we should be questioning LVG more on the issue of transfers rather than trying to blame Woodward (or whatever his name is) because we do not know for certain what LVG is up to... has he (LVG) given the CEO any "wish-lists" of targets for acquisition or made any such mentions!? You want to aportion blame for what we dont know about? |

StarBoard: Could you give any name for the CM position you think would serve at this point? I would still love Vidal. Those prices are off putting but we absolutely need someone like him. I wouldnt mind Khedira too but again Khedira isnt a £25m player to me.apart from the names, we need the scouts to actually pull their finger out and do their jobs. |

If we're trolling let's agree its just trolling and leave it there because Rio has been an utterly brilliant defender for man utd and England. He was amazing in the 2002 world cup and if anything he was the one bailing vidic out most times. Even made Silvestre look a competent defender. absolutely brilliant servant to the club and won everything possible with the club. I wish him all the best with the rest of his career. I do wish he went elsewhere like the states but fully understand him going to QPR. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 9:06am On Jul 18, 2014 |
From a man utd point of view. The world cup was not great for us, as LvG has such little time to assess his squad and make changes. We have a big opportunity to hit the ground running with the fixtures but he rightfully needs time to see who can adapt to his methods in the squad and who cant and then time required for negotiations of any signings which also doesnt leave time for those signings to bed in the squad. Its now less than a month to the start of the season. |
