Best tournament in my lifetime. Sad its over, as I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Messi just didnt look that sharp to me. Didnt look 100% or like he was really up for it like when hes playing for Barca. Too bad. I was hoping he would win it, because to me, he is the best player in the world. Not all time though because you need a world cup in my opinion.

Congrats to the Ze Germans though. Thoroughly deserved and definitely the best team in the tournament. They have some top players there and some will be back for several more tournaments.

Anyways, looking forward to the new season under LVG.

dopeJemi: Goal don't make up stuffs, to me they are very reliable, they have reported a lot of stuffs that turned out to be true e.g, suarez, sanchez, herrera, shaw, lallana, evra

In other news, Man united and Real madrid near agreement for Di maria
They are not at all reliable in my experience.

Di Maria transfer isnt happening.

Yeah, Garay only just went to Zenit.

I personally would prefer we went all out for Vidal rather than Di Maria but I wouldnt complain.

Its not so much that it worked, i was more impressed by the balls and the preparation to do it as i read Krul hasnt really got an impressive penalty saving record. 2/20 apparently for Newcastle.

I still dont think theyll win the world cup but either way LvG will lift the club like crazy now because he is obviously a top manager who is vastly experienced and has massive balls. cool

If LvG is really looking to get rid of Fellaini, then it means he really means business. I was just hoping for a top 4 spot but it seems LvG wants to do what liverpool couldnt and win the title from 7th place previous finish. cool

Gutted. Once Onazi went off injured and no red card matuidi. We didnt stand a chance anymore. We just didnt do well with our final ball even when we were in control of the match. The pressure was just mounting for Enyeama so it was inevitable the mistake was coming. Still it was a good game and a decent performance. The world cup overall has been fantastic so still enjoying the rest of the tournament.

elampiro: His country men would have accused him of divided attention and lack of concentration because of Man United job. He needs to go far or win it to boost his morale and confidence onto the Man United job.
LvG has been a top manager for the best part of 30 years. I dont think he needs a confidence or morale boost. What he needs more than anything is time with his squad to mould the squad. He has a huge job coming so he needs every spare second to prepare.

Missed the forums. We shouldnt even bother with james rodriguez. Would probably cost around £100m now. Top top player for sure.

Not happy with the prices for Shaw and Herrera. While they are decent buys, we have been absolutely mugged.
I said it minutes before he brought in Adnan; I suggested he pull out one of the 2 strikers and play Adnan at the left to pair up with Butner; what did he do? He pulled off Val for Adnan. We knew Val was totally clueless in the team, but we needed him for a cover on the defense, and maybe, a moment brilliance. We needed to be attacking from both flanks since our midfield was just there!

Anyway, I'm not perturbed by the loss. We need fewer games now so we can concentrate and qualify for champs lge.
You mean qualify for the top half of the table right? huh

elampiro: The line up is okay, except I would have wanted a 4-3-3 instead of this 4-4-2. I hope Swansea won't useless us in the middle of the park today. They suffered City so much last week. Had Michu been around, there was no way City couldn't have dropped points.
Im ok with the rest of the lineup. My problem is Valencia has been aweful for so long yet he keeps getting in the team. And Zaha is not even getting a chance. How bad must he be in training? Or is it just Valencia's agidi that's helping him?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 5:06pm On Jan 05, 2014
Wow, For how long do we have to keep watching Valencia stink up the place. He gets in the team no matter how bad he plays. I really hope Zaha has stopped banging Moyes' daughter because if he cant get a game against the worst winger in the premier league then he has no hope.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 1:39pm On Jan 05, 2014
You can have him for free when his contract expires in 18 months.

montelik: All of our players are crap. Just 7-8 months removed of winning the title at a canter and harshly losing out to Madrid in the UCL, our squad is crap, all our players average or poor. Now people are talking about how we need to rebuild the squad.
Question, was there a single united fan on this forum or others, who felt that the new managerial appointment had a rebuilding project facing him when he took charge? Almost all of us, even the most pessimistic, felt that the new manager simply needed to continue SAF's work and make a few tweeks here and there, while building and molding the club to his own suiting over a longer period.
Wasn't the justification for handing Moyes the job fairly easily, that it was continuity and he would be comfortable keeping the ship on a steady course and working within SAF's legacy and United's recent traditions.
Gary Neville often talks about how Moyes is adjusting to United and eventually United will change him. But it now seems that Moyes isn't comfortable changing to match United, but instead wants to change United to match him. That is his right and it is understandable, but if we were looking for a manager to engage in a rebuild or change the ethos of United, Moyes would likely have had a sterner road to the job, if he would have even made the shortlist.
I am not in favor of giving Moyes license to make big change. Firstly, his appointment was almost solely based on the desire to avoid unnecessary changes. Secondly, what pedigree does Moyes have to say that he is going to rebuild United's squad just a year removed from being champions? This isn't Capello, Wenger, Lippi e.t.c we are talking about. Moyes has approached this job like when he went from Preston to Everton, but the situations are wildly different. United aren't looking for a manager to remake the side, they aren't looking to go in a new direction. But Moyes has only been able to approach this like any other sack and hire arrangement and now he wants to be given license to make massive changes when that was not the initial mandate given to him.
Before I will feel comfortable giving him license to do and undo, I want to see what he does with what he has (which is much better than some believe). So far he has done nothing to reassure me.
100% agree with you. Alarm bells were ringing with me when he changed the backroom staff. For someone like Moyes he should have been hired to join the existing staff that were obviously doing a great job. The is absolutely nothing to suggest he should be given the opportunity to chnage the club to his standards. What standards? This summer most fans including non united fans would tell you that we needed midfield reinforcement. 5 months with moyes and now its the whole squad thats crap but he couldn't get them playing well. Nonsense. There won't be a title challenge under moyes for man United. Ever. This is a fact.
