Got worried for a minute I thought I was in the Chelsea thread.

If I recall correctly for example, Martial had a great performance against boro but was dropped for the next match and then picked for the following match.

He isn't getting a chance to find a rythym. He's getting dropped to often. Admittedly he had a chance at the start of the season that he didn't take but outside of that he still needs a run in the side because its easy to forget he's still only 21.

He has plenty to develop but he won't get it if he's been treated like an experienced player like Miki.
He does need someone to get into his head about his attitude because he seems defeatist once a defender has had a go at him a few times unlike Rashford who will just keep going at the defender regardless.
I really hope Jose figures a way to get it out of him because the kid has bags of talent.

I've wanted us to bring Carvalho here having watched him in last Euro and against R.Madrid, and looking at our midfield set up. He can replace Carrick without us making changes to the midfield I think. As for the other guy, I have not watched him.

Although Carvalho is very talented his passing range in quite limited to be a Carrick type of player. Bakayoko is also a different style of player to Carrick so you wont replace Carrick with those two unless you want to change the playing style of the team.

Next season, we would have gain some cohesion with our squad. You can see it took time for Ibrahimovic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rooney, to get to know how each of them play and harness their qualities.

Hazard might be plucked by Madrid, then Chelsea will start to find a way to get a new balance.

I believe we are in best position to form a great winning team with little adjustments to what we have. We also have young players who will only mature - Martial, Rashford and Pogba.

I think you're taking for granted the fact other teams could also easiky be stronger and we might not be as strong as we assumed by next season. Zlatan has carried the bulk of our goalscorjng and about to turn 36 his form could easily fall off a cliff next season and then we'll have no tried and trusted goalscorer? Even if Griezmann comes, what if he doesn't settle or needs time to adjust? I'm sure no one predicted Chelsea will get the balance right so quickly so ita very hard to make that prediction you're making because at the moment the table does not lie.

How was it that Herrera's only route was to launch the ball up and pass backward when he only attempted 7 long balls and only 13 of his 110 attempted total passes were backward passes?

Fellaini played 56 mins as an attacking midfielder.

We can now see that your Fellaini was the one not doing anything in the attacking midfield position where he was supposed to be creating for Zlatan. His pass stats has also shown to us that when he passes forward ten times, he passes backward ten times. What does this tell you? He couldn't even complete his attempted backward passes which is so simple to do. I have said it that he is only useful with his aerial ability which isn't the main quality of a midfielder.



Why will any sane footballer keep on passing to him when the passes they made to him were being passed backwards? He couldn't even attack with the passes they made to him. They pass to him, he passes back to them and runs into the opposition box expecting what? Herrera has played where he played yesterday and he has excelled there many times this season.
You want Fellaini to drop deep to do what? To cause a penalty? Didn't you even read or hear where his former team mate at Everton said they didn't always want him anywhere near their 18-yard box?
