We just don't know how to play against defensive teams. It seems we only play well against top teams coz we play counter-attacking football.
But Everton haven't been defensive. They've attacked us just as much as we have attacked them and have been on top in the last 10 mins before the goal.

I don't think we should overstate the bus parking teams being an issue. Yes we have problems with them but losing points to West Ham, Bournemouth, Aston Villa and even Newcastle was not because those teams parked the bus.

Napoli qualify for last 16 and hand Ancelotti an L say thank you.

Maybe its time Carlo retired. I'm not sure football management likes him anymore.

I would take Haaland though. He is the better finisher already, and at almost 5 yrs younger than Hwang he has the higher ceiling.
I'm not sure about that. He's a good finisher but I'm not convinced about his touch. He definitely did a poor impression of Lukaku today even though I know its against Liverpool. Poor touch and movement. He needs chances on a plate to score and I'm not sure we need that right now.

You have a point in that although he has some speed, he is not very mobile in his link up and general game play. However i hear he has a 20 million Euro release clause, so it won't be big money. Hwang his strike partner appears to be more integral to the way the team plays.
Was also looking at Hwang. He was excellent in the Anfield leg. Really like the look of him.

I don't think Haaland is a very mobile striker. Seems a good 9, good strength and decent movement but I think he's too old fashioned. I'm not sure we should be running after him for big money.

I hate that I love this team so much. Just when my hopes and faith in this team was dying, they managed to pull of this huge win away at city. Just ridiculous. Now I'm going to open my heart again. embarassed

Special mention to Fred, I'm probably his biggest critic online anywhere, he had a very good game and he's improving well. He's no longer from Cotonou but he's now from somewhere in South America.

Also AWB, Excellent tackling machine. Just hope he improves his attacking.

Well, what it means is I don't want him to leave. Honestly, Pogba is our best player, wanna replace him with an average joe? Why not have Fred and McTom behind the guy, let him play 10.

Rashford - - - Martial - - - - James
-------------Pogba-----------------

More than deadly, I believe!
Why is there an assumption that Pogba can play the 10? He's only really been good in the left of a midfield 3. Not really excelled anywhere else. A Pogba in a 10 means you'll lose alot of pressing from the front.

McTom obviously is improving and Fred can prove us wrong.

The way they play now (the duo) is different from the way they played last season. Pogba is our laziest midfielder- the other two work hard. Unfortunately Pogba is also the one with the most quality.

We still need midfield signings though.
Definitely, we just need to keep Pogba in a midfield 3 and that should hopefully bring the best out of him before he leaves for Madrid. None of the midfield 2 or number 10 nonsense.

The question is, why have we been unable to sign a world class midfielder since 2011? We only got Pogba at a record price?

Do you think the management team of the club have not bee trying? They are just not available as SAF noted. The ones available don't choose Old Trafford as their first destination except you pay so much. You might even bring one and he flops.
They have been trying and failing. Doesn't mean it couldn't be done. That's like saying no one in Europe has been able to sign any good midfielder since 2011. So many teams have managed it but for whatever reason we haven't and that shows why we've been a mess since.

If it were that easy, why have we not bought one since 2011 when we 'diagnosed' that Scholes and Carrick needed replacement?

Even SAF said players like Scholes and Giggs don't fall from the tree. That is aswering a question why he had not replaced them.
You haven't really made a point. Are you saying there are no good players out there? Not sure you can really bring in what SAF did 8 years ago to this. Unless you're implying there are no good players in the 8 years since he said that?

I dont think that is the strategy. I think he wants to buy only potential world class players or nothing.
That alone shows his incompetence then. If you cannot identify any midfielders to sign in the whole world with all the resources available to him, surely he shouldn't be in the job? Most of us could see the glaring weaknesses in the squad before the start of the season and we're not even certified coaches and exactly what we saw is coming to pass why should that excuse Ole? Point is, he has made the rod for his own back and only really has himself to blame. Woodward and other are also culpable but it was Ole who said he was happy to start the season with this squad so he should shoulder most of the blame.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 8:31pm On Dec 01, 2019
Before the season started, I said Ole will be sacked before Christmas and I still below it will happen. The fact the was happy to start the season with that squad is enough to be sacked for. Talkless of his team's performances, tactics and substitutions.

The main dilemma is not sacking Ole, but getting a manager that will take us back to the top.

Getting a manager just because he is better than Ole doesn’t cut it for me. We might just end up wasting another 2-3yrs moving from 8th to 6th.

We need to identify the right candidate and give him all the right support needed to succeed.

1) Woodward must be removed from footballing decisions

2) Woodward must be removed from footballing decisions
and finally
3) Woodward must be removed from footballing decisions
This is my main issue. Yes we all know Poch is better than Ole but is that enough reason for him to get the job? I'm not sure. We shouldn't use just a better than Ole metric to assign the job. It has to be the right manager for the club. And your Woodward point is the number issue that has to be addressed.

What makes it a smart move again? It was seen as a smart move when he was appointed and he started off the block really fast.
Its a smart move because he has obviously lost the dressing room. The players are no longer responding to him and its an obvious time to sack him before it's too late. I can't comment on when he was hired that has nothing to do with me or my comment.

Wow!!! Leicester City has a better team than us? Player for player or it's the good work of Rodgers at play?
Their midfield is better than ours by a long way. Pogba is the only one who gets near their midfield. Their attack is definitely better. Vardy is a seasoned goalscorer better than anything we have while Martial/Rashford/James is probably slightly better than Ayoze,/Maddison/DemaraiGray . Maybe we have a slight edge but Vardy tips it in their favour. Defense is again neck and neck as is keeper. There isn't a massive gap between DDG and Kasper. Its more telling that we would rather sign their players like, Chilwell,Ndidi,Teleimans,Madddison, Vardy. All go straight into our first 11.

No na. I’m talking about his passes. His passes can lull you to sleep in a clubhouse.

I’ve noticed it for quite some time, just posted it today out of frustration.

Remember those times we were playing Soton and Crystal Palace- when the play was slow and boring? Magguya Dey part of the cause.
You have to remember though. The movement from out forwards cannot be compared to the Liverpool forwards. So for Maguire or any defenders to ping good passes to the forwards you would need them making good runs in the first place. Which they very very rarely do. Vardy is also one of the best at making those runs so there's always something for the defenders to aim for.

Yeye Dey smell.

Giroud always perform on national duty Bla bla bla. That’s why he was a defensive striker at the last World Cup with zero goals whilst playing all the games.

Yeye Dey smell
And its really not an intelligent comparison. What's the point comparing Giroud a striker to Platini an attacking midfielder. With Giroud also playing far more games to get less number of goals. If its just trolling then I understand, any other reason would just be embarrassing.
