Nigerian veteran actor, Prof. Ayobami Akinwale has died.

The movie star is reported to have died following a brief illness on Sunday, September 13, 2020.

Until his death, he was a professor in the department of The Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin.

Akinwale is famous for his roles in movies like Sango (1997), Ladepo Omo Adanwo (2005), Iranse Aje (2007), and many others.

He was a thrilling thespian, a veteran Movie Producer, a laureate of the African Movie Academy Award (AMAA).

He was born in Ibadan and attended Methodist High School and, according to a Dawn Commission publication, the University of Ibadan before commencing academic work as a lecturer at The Polytechnic Ibadan.

He was the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture of University of Ilorin.

He was also the chairman of Oyo State Council for Arts and Culture. He was a judge on several cultural festivals across Nigeria.

He began his acting career in the 1970s featuring in television and drama productions. He won the Best Indigenous actor award at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Am very sure if i ask guys to start dropping there experience regarding this we will have unending comments...this not an issue of she is working/broke lady is just a bad habit and bad mind set.
If you move close to ladies in this country you will found out it is a deliberate thing asking for expensive food/drinks on a date....infact they even discuss it among themselves because they can't afford it so they expect a man to get it for them and is really embarrassing..You invite a lady on a first date and she is requesting for expensive meals and won't even wait for you to offer her....some will even bring there friends along.... some will ask you to get things for there siblings/ladies at home.
One have today me before on our date that i must get things for her siblings if I want them to like me or the one that told me she can't just go home like that her friends are waiting for her to bring something home because when they go out they also bring (food) home...can u imagine that.

Am not writing this to shame ladies but to tell those who are doing this things to stop......there was a lady that was tag 2 indomie 1 egg and another tag rice and goat meat.... do this and you have sex with either.... that there pussy price.
If a guy invite you on date please respect yourself even if he a billionaire let him ask you what u want and please don't ask for things you can't afford yourself...

Some academics really so not know what they're doing. How can you be a lecturer and your primary priority is sex instead of research?

Sex is one of the easiest things to get in this day and age. Why ruin your career, accomplishments, prospects, etc over a woman? This is one of the issues with our nation. Due to the quota and man-know-man system we operate, we don't allow hard work and dedication to thrive. I doubt if any serious scholar, except those with home trouble, will ruin his name and hardwork over sex that he can get with as little as N5000 or even free should he have the right words in his mouth.

It's good that these things are happening. I am a male academic and I totally condemn forcing students into any sexual affair. There are many girls who will even sleep with their grandfather's age mates if paid the right amount. Why force your innocent students and ruin your reputation? People like this have made lecturers the face of sexual predation in Nigeria and they justify why the Senate would single lecturers as the main targets of a controversial bill.
