Bro we can build Nigeria by encouraging good practices, dollar is not our money so I don't think there is need for hoarding it when we don't have any use for it. If suspending all Naira card is the solution to bring the exchange rate to a reasonable state so shall it be. Importers demand for dollars is bad for our economy, these measures will discourage them from their selfish needs. Currently dollar is being sold at N320/$, there is tendency it will fall further. Anyone who is paying above N350/$ should think again. Hoarders are in serious trouble ![]() onatisi: |
Hahahahhahaahahhahahhahahah ![]() This recession has turned Nigerians into bunch of saddists, oboy see comments lol. |
People living outside Nigeria pays the double inflated prices on every commodity sold in Nigeria, rather than taking advantage of the high exchange rate they are not in true terms because they are paying double like everyone else. Infact, a lot of people who live outside Nigeria spend more money within a month of visiting their fatherland than they will spend overseas in a month. When they convert Pounds to Naira it looks good in bulk but it will finish within a short period. For example in the UK, you can fill your car tank with diesel £50 for 200 Km distance but you will need £100 diesel for the same 200 km distance in Nigeria due to meter adjustments, low quality gas. Everything in Nigeria is inflated and everyone pays the price. |
Are you selling on credit? Next week I pay you. Singapore1: |
Dollar is crashing. Hoarders are panicking ![]() Next will be Bitcoin. Isorite. We are watching ![]() |
You made good points, a lot people whom I'm familiar with living abroad can't even afford to send money for house building projects anymore. Their initial estimate to build a 6 three-bed flats in January was N17 million. Now things have doubled and they require N34 million to build the same 6 three-bed flats. Obviously its a huge loss to them as they only manage to come home and invest in projects during long non-working holidays like in december. The problem in Nigeria affects Nigerians in Diaspora more cos they are the people bringing in the £€$ etc. FreeWorld23: |

You divide by 4 because there are four quarters in a year. For example if you are investing for 91 days. After calculating 0.135 x 100,000 = N13,500 (this interest is for one whole year). To get the interest for 91 days which is a quarter of 365 days, you do this; N13,500/4 quarters = N3375 interest for a quarter ie 91 days investment. |
You are welcome. Your 200K can currently yield N2,200 interest per month without going into Forex. If you still want to go for Forex, sign up for a Skrill account and start buying and selling here. Or if you want Bitcoin open an account and start. jamesy212: |
OK, it means no government classifies bitcoin as a legally acceptable form of payment for goods and services even though businesses in many countries accept the use of bitcoin as a form of payment. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency ie an electronic fund governed by a set of programmed code. There is potential for it to grow and there is potential for it to crash due to possible technical failures, political issues. No one owns bitcoin so if in any way it crashes, all your money is lost. Hope this helps. jamesy212: |
It seems you already have HIV and find it difficult to come to terms with it. Go for counselling. Ighoga898: |

Why are you spamming 3 threads with your post. This is the sixth post concerning this same Fiverr/Paypal funds in the last 12 hours. Initially you asked for N440/$ now you want N420/$. Make up your mind and stop spamming. eniolaamoda: |
Hope its insured against Dangote trailers. |
You are right jare, his music makes no sense, its not hating but true. The world has gone bananas. Phyno sings better, olamide is just using his Yoruba accent to make noise look like music. bbmpin: |
It is best you keep your Naira safe with your Bank, e-currency is very risky, if you have extra cash you can gamble on buying Skrill. Most of these companies are tightening their user policies so bear in mind your funds could be trapped with them for up to six months, this happens all the time. So be prepared not just for the money but also for their administrative process. Furthermore, do not buy currencies because others are rushing to buy, find out who your buyer is and how much they are willing to buy first. For example Bitcoin has value and people are buying but it is not legal tender in any country. Be wise. jamesy212: |
The post I'm referring to is different from the one you are talking about. Infinitikoncept: |
I am referring to 3 posts not 1 post, the post is directly above my first post. Are you well? Lstar4real: |
Mod do something about the post above. I don't know why he is spamming three threads at the same time. Spam detection on: 2 Business threads and 1 Technology market thread. Initiate a code B, over I repeat over. Roger that. |
I support prosecution of corrupt judges and they should fight themselves to expose embezzlement secrets to the public BUT What I don't support is the President using these probe cases to divert funds in his current position. |
This is a rare observation by Nigerians, the GBP is plunging downwards against all currencies across the world but the value keep rising in this useless good for nothing country called Nigeria. That will tell you that Nigerians are the cause for their own misfortune. FetchUK: |
Nigerians and dollar !!! I asked a girl who sells sugarcane "How much is your sugarcane", she said its now N150. I was like haba its N100 I usually buy. She said dollar has gone up. I was shocked, what is the relationship between a locally made fruit and dollar. As much as people may try to defend the seller in terms of using imported fertilizer. The truth is that an average Nigerian who sell goods or services will extort you due to the dwindling nature of the economy. |
Travelex gets the dollar it sells directly from the CBN, due to Travelex's position in International forex exchange, the CBN went into partnership with Travelex to be the sole distributor of Forex to licensed BDC businesses in Nigeria. Travelex applied its expertise by utilizing a Biometric Technology system in capturing and disbursing Forex to Nigerian BDC's. Apart from the CBN's supply to Travelex, the licensed BDC's under Travelex can access other forex channels with good behavior. This is a step in the right direction, the Government will not cater for the needs of greedy Nigerians so if you have a shop at Alaba and require $40m a week its your problem. The truth be told, if you pump $500 billion into the Nigerian economy, within a year it will finish so why pump all the $22 billion reserve within a year when we know it will still finish. Nigerians need to team up and start investing inwards, an average business man at Alaba can import 5 containers of 40 feet China products in a month but he can't build a small factory and train people to manufacture those products. |
Travelex and licensed BDC's are now selling N356/$ and not N365/$ as quoted above. If you are buying dollar any higher then you are being cheated, follow the right channel and buy your dollar at the specified rate. Travelex have been selling at N356/$ for over two months now, they just opened their selling window to BDCs today. |
The best way to do this transaction is the Italian way that means you both bring the $100K and the naira equivalent in cash inside ghana must go bags and meet up in an uncompleted building. Remember: Go with your men be equipped with AK47's. Don't forget to have a sniper on the roof ![]() Thank me later mukende: |
