justwise: How much does Nigerian leaders love and care for you? Since we got independent what has changed?Point of correction chief. South Africa got her independence before Nigeria on the 31st May of 1960. The year 1994 marks SA's first democratic elections where black and whites were equally enfranchised and not independence day. Apartheid was abolished around 1986 and Nelson Mandela was released in Prison on the 11th Feb 1990. Black SA gained their freedom immediately after ANC came into power on the 27th Apr of 1994 when Madiba became the first democratically elected president of RSA. Get your facts right Mr and next time do not write of anything unless you have done thorough research about the subject. |
uihebom: Bla bla bla. How many work have aptech done in Nollywood in other to convince people what they will benefit if they learn from them. I've done my research and I found out that people that work for Hollywood are actually institute like yours that do all the animations for them like Harry porter and co. You claim you teach 3d still Nigerian companies are still sending their work to south Africa. If you claim you know what you teach why not create a 3d movie to convince us. Stick with your computer repair courses and web development course too. forget 3d is not for you mor ons.Specifically which work does South Africa import from Nigeria. The only commodity that SA import from Nigeria is crude oil for which Nigeria on its own cannot refine due to lack of scientists. There is nothing other than oil that Nigeria exports. Perhaps, you think that South Africans are interested in Nollyhood movies, not a chance, they are not interested at all. They complain about the technology used in those movies, so amateurish that Nigerians insult their intelligence by using such a low class, poor sound quality and bad English. Nigeria, in terms of technology cannot compare to South Africa, thus stop dreaming chief. |

This is one stupid question I had ever come across. In fact, why do you ask such silly question and remember that those whites in South Africa majority of them have never been to Europe. They have in SA ever since the arrival of Jan Van Riebeck in 1652. So, why should they go back to the foreign land and why are you not posing the same question to Black Americans? Furthermore, you should ask the same question to Africans who were born in Europe. Leave white SAfrican alone and mind your own business. They are there to stay forever and ever. |
ekt_bear: If you want an "African" voice, then choose Nigeria. Since it arguably has a more significant impact on the world economy than SA does, and this gap will only increase over time (since Nigeria's growth rate >>>> SAs) |
ekt_bear: Though truth be told, the same is true of France and the UK. It should be something like:Chief, the issue here is not about the giants, big dogs or whatever you call it. What about developing countries specifically those in Africa, do you mean they should not have any voice? Who is there to use all resources available and represent Africa in the UN. Currently, the only country in Africa that seem to have resources to do so is SA. Egypt is more of Arabic than African, and they seem not to be interested in African agenda. The question is who will represent Africa? |
solomon111: Lol!I'm a South African/ Nigerian born of a Nigerian (Igbo) father. Even my father (prof) also admits that when SA sneezes, the rest of the continent catches the cold. SA has much of an influence in Africa than we can ever Imagine, the only challenges though are former french colonies which seem not to support SA in most political issues. Most of the refugees in SA are from the latter countries, perhaps, this could be the reason why they do not support SA because it provides protection and security to those who want to run such babaric regimes into complete anarchy. SA currently occupy the most important position in the AU, so my fellow countryman, how can you say that SA does not have influence beyond SADC? |
This came after analysts favoured South Africa as the favourite among the IBSA, that is, India, Brazil and South Africa to occupy permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council. SA is the only country in Africa that seem to have stable democracy and the only diversified nation across the continent. Thus, South Africa is no different to all the countries that have permanent seats in UNSC because of its experience to deal with people of different cultures, religions and nations. South Africa is no different to the United Kingdom and United states of America in terms of its composition. |

"Our mission in Islamabad in Pakistan, which is also accredited in Afghanistan, has informed us that eight South Africans were among the dead in the explosion which occurred in Kabul early this morning," foreign affairs spokesperson Nelson Kgwete told AFP. "They worked for a private aviation company," he added. The group were all believed to be men, Kgwete said. "Our mission in Islamabad is working on the identity of the men and contacting their next of kin." Tuesday's attack by a woman suicide bomber was the deadliest single attack claimed to avenge a US film that has sparked a week of bloody protests across the Muslim world. More than 30 people have now been killed in the violent backlash over a YouTube trailer for the film Innocence of Muslims. AFP |
Surely, this terrorist activities will scare investors aways. Now that South Africa was showing an enormous interest on investing in Nigerian growing market, these negative phenomena are potential of causing a threat in the economy of Nigeria. FG must work hard to eradicate this nuisance or else Nigeria will become another Zimbabwe. |
