shymexx: Why are san men a la black people in SA the loudest in that country? Nigeria isn't special and our military is rubbish, however black South Africans are still the most cowardly black people on this planet.. You were made slaves in your own damn country and it took the whole world fighting for you to get them to move from enslaving you to owning 90% of your country despite being just 15% of the population..How does that make you better from us? Some of your brothers were sold to America during the epoch of mercantile slavery. They were sold for a price by one of your own to the highest bidder. After all, we were all colonised and equally slaves to our former colonisers. I see you call us cowards, you do not have any idea how brave South Africans are even to the extent of not fearing guns. We fought against colonisation and oppression empty handed approaching heavily armed soldiers and police |
sheyie2007: Just face it, some of y'all are xenophobic, it has been engraved in your brain since you got dropped on your heads.. i've been to your country I know how things go, got couple of SA friends too that ain't dimw!t like you. I'll implore you to travel out of your country and expose your shallow brain... I noticed the smart ones amongst you have travel experiences...and judging from the 3days and whatever hours you've spent on this platform, you've never posted anything reasonable...go fu©K yourself...I will do whatever it takes to protect my child, simply because he is not in the age of making wise decisions. A child in SA is anyone under the age of 18 and is referred to as a person who cannot consent to sex and drugs. You've asked if they are being forced against their will, the answer to that is YES, they are teens and in terms of SA law they cannot make informed decision concerning sex and drugs, they are merely pushed into it. |
sheyie2007: Some of you dummies keep ranting.."they come to sell drugs and force our children into prostitution"..were they made to do,these things against their will? Those guys are business savvy, they discovered y'all fagg@ts love being high and your bit©hes would do anything for cash so, they seized the moment.. sadly, a country man would think differentlyYour children are very safe there in Nigeria and ours are being lured into drugs by some foreigners who are trying to make a living in SA. Once you try to raise this issue, the world accuses you of being xenophobic. Do you suggest that we must not protect our children even if they go astray. Our children are the future of SA and how will they run this country if somehow they find themselves mentally impaired because of prolonged use of drugs. One thing that I like about South Africans is that they are well-behaved travellers and would always try hard not to offend their hosts. Anyway, charity begins at home. |
sheyie2007: Even with the sophisticated artillery you own, you've not had any "glorified" success in all your missionsYou must be joking. Read about all missions of SANDF from yesteryears until to date. Read about how SANDF used to infiltrate countries and demolish ANC's installations, though this was not right but it display their capability of success in clandestine operations. Read more about SA border war and the mission of recce team to Angola. |
sheyie2007: Lol...the world bank recently admitted it doesn't have accurate analysis of nigeria's per capital gdp, so update your knowledge factory..you have google at your disposal, i'll leave that to you...there are more middle class in this country unlike yours, and it keeps breeding billionaires... Check my previous post on the corruption index rating as i'm too lazy to type for a dimw!t..Exactly what is that stuff that you are smoking? You mean SA does not have the middle class, you must be joking or else you must have yourself admitted to psychiatric hospital. Furthermore. GDP per capita of Nigeria will never surpass that of SA because of its population size, even if Nigeria can become the largest economy in Africa. |
sheyie2007: I laugh in swahili, yes we might have "minor" tribal issues but we ain't xenophobic slowpokes like you guys, go figure......and for the record, i've got white friends dummy, i'll continue to lay down facts, bring it on!... apartheid is in it's modern form in your country deal with it..it's controlled by whites so they'll surely go to war for their "country".If foreigners come from wherever they come from to sell drugs to our children and force them into prostitution what do you think must be done? We will be forced to act and protect our children from being ruined. I know few foreigners who continue to sell drugs despite being warned against it. They sell drugs on the school nearby |
sheyie2007: Bros don't get too worked up over these guys, if they(blacks) built their country to this present stage..i'll simply keep my gob shut! They're yet to realise Nigeria is superior in this aspect .. anyday!..You are really obsessed with race. Those whites are SOUTH AFRICAN with capital letters. They were born and bred in SA and we don't care if they have set the pace for us. They have made their contribution and thus we continue to do so as part of our contribution. The ANC, even though is not perfect it has achieved a lot, ranging from roads that meet the international standard, low cost housing, health, construction of Medupi powerstation, World cup, Gautrain and BRT, SKA world biggest telescope in Astronomy and they intend to bid for Olympics. After all SA belong to all who lives in it, whether it be a coloured, African, Whites or Asians. |
sheyie2007: Burundi is a piece of cake... I'll leave Cameroon with you guys....Unfortunately Cameroon is not in our region. SA will either be accused of playing big and reducing itself into superpowers or transgressing regional borders. It is the responsibility of either Nigeria or Ghana to stabilise that region before there can be any intervention from outside. That is a protocol and needs to be followed. Currently, SA stabilise peace in SADC countries. |
Blyss: Since when did Shoprite and Game become shopping Malls? One is a grocery store and and other is media outlet. You see, you people are so stupid. You don't move with times you know, no matter how hard we tried to modernise you. Game is not a media what ever you call it and shoprite owns many shopping malls and centres in SA. That's why when it was introduced in Nigeria you started seeing construction of world class malls that you failed to build on your own. Thanks to South Africa for making us feel like human being, that's how one Nigerian responded when was interviewed about SA investment in Nigeria. |
sheyie2007: Lol...all white owned. And they're being taxed like they should..so?Bwahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahhahahahahahhahahahhhhahahhah, for your info there is no more so called all white owned in SA, you are outdated in terms of current affairs. SA has introduced a BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) policy where blacks have to own shares in all previously white owned enterprises. For your info my dad also has shares in MTN. |
sheyie2007: Lol...all white owned. And they're being taxed like they should..so?Bwahahahahahaha, we let the customers to pay tax for us and the rest come back to SA. |
snydergp: Are u just a fool or just a hot headed young boy or whateverSA investors are not stupid, they will drain Nigeria dry. Bwahahahahahhahahahahaaha!!! |
What about Multichoice, PEP, Game, Shoprite, Spur, Shopping malls, standard bank, lottery and MTN we have invested in Nigeria. You are nothing without South Africa's investments. When other countries abandoned you by labelling you as terrorists we as South Africa we were there for you. You started to experience world class shopping malls because of us and that's how you are paying us. Tafiakwa, nonsense. |
Henry120: SA 20 years ahead of nigeria, yet your economy is crawling at 2% a year, while nigeria's economy is growing at 7% a year. Nigeria's economy is a 392 billion dollar economy, just about 15-20 billion usd below SA. Nigeria is projected to overtake SA in 2016, as africa's top economy/dog. We got the largest middle class on this continent at about 50 million people. Nigeria companies are by far out pacing that of companies in SA, DANGOTE africa's largest conglomerate leading the pack with globacom, honeywell, oando not far behind. And you come here to claim that SA is 30 years ahead of nigeria. Bros, na u sabi oh, u dey on your own for this matter.Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! This is indeed rhetoric. Who is making more money in Nigeria? Isn't SA companies? Bwahahahaahahahahahahahaha. |
souldust: @henry, dont mind the boy muazu who says we are 100 years behind SA in infrastructure. What nonsense! To make such a statement means he is not aware of our airports that are being remodelled and rebuilt. He obviously doest know whats happening in our various states. And you also mentioned the eko atlantic city which is a good one. That's a fact, whether you like it or not. SA is working towards being recognised as a fully third world country and that is not far my friend. |
snydergp: You are correct when u say we have a lot to deal with like inequality poverty etc. Talking about sanitation SA has provided this to over 90% of its people we spend more on electricity, health and education then any other country on this continent even our national budget is twice that of Nigeria's current budget allocation to all its regional states. To be more exact, Nigeria is 100yrs late to what South Africa has achieved thus far. If this is 2012 then Nigeria supposed to be somewhere in the 1800 in terms of infrastructural developments and moreover their ever growing and increasing population poses a threat of reaching economic meltdown which will in turn promote the criterion of the survival of the fittest. It was for this reason that China was prompted to promulgate laws that criminalised polygamy and multiple births by couples. It is now officially a crime to have more than two children in China and even though their economy is blossoming, unfortunately it does not benefit ordinary Chinese citizens. Poverty in China is very rife and many of them are dependent upon a meal which is less than one dollar a day. Competition for better jobs is tough and in many instances a salary that has to pay a single person is shared for two. |
Henry120: The F-7 is a heavily modified version of the MIG 21, it is not a MIG 21. As an interceptor it is good, but not as the main backbone of the air force. I won't say nigeria wasted money on them, as at the time they were purchased they were meant to be for the short term. The chinese and pakistani still employ them in huge numbers. It is supposed to be the first line of defence. However there is something in the cards at this very moment, we are already in the market. This is all I'm going to say.All that you have mentioned is no match to DENEL and let me tell you all the info that you see in the internet is there for a reason and has been collected by military researchers across the globe. Those researchers meticulously select those countries that have an influence in the world. So far they have never been moved by Nigerian military because of their limited activity in the art of war. South Africa has such a massive history pertaining to art of war. To confirm this just google the recce team to learn how they used to cunningly infiltrate the Angolan borders to demolish their military installations and to learn more about their clandestine operations. Infact, they had a lot of activity in the past than you can ever imagine and were the most feared. I guess this is the reason that startled and fascinated the researchers to write a lot about the capability of South African National Defence Force in combat. Beware, nobody messes up with SA in terms of military tactics, they are the expects of reconnaissance, air strikes, demolitions and attack. |
[quote author=Henry Your last sentence just shows how silly you can be. Do they do that in your country. At least I know soldiers in this country are not HIV & AIDS infested like both white and black SANDF members or do not kill un armed miners protesting over pay.[/quote]Here are the facts. 1. Do you know that SA has the same number of people living with HIV/AIDS as Nigeria. Over 5 million south Africans are infected with HIV as compared to over 5 million Nigerians. Nigeria has a total population of over 140 million and SA has 51 million, hence this is the reason why Nigeria has a low percentage. I will confirm this info/stats later with the WHO and paste it for your indulgence. 2. I am very excited that you confused our police with the military. Those disgruntled miners were shot at by heavily armed men in blue. If you want to confirm it go to youtube and tell me if you have seen a single SANDF member there. Who knows, perhaps SAPS or so to say our police are even well and better equipped than Nigerian Army to the extend that they are mistaken as militants by Nigerians. |
Henry120: I don't know where you south africans/ africans get your your notion of the nigerian military been not well trained or equipped. The nigerian armed forces and staff college in JAJI, kaduna state is the BEST military college in africa. The nigerian military always receive top honours on abroad tours/ trainings. Keeping believing that gibberish of nigeria army officers been poorly trained / equipped you read on line. After all, it's a free world. Why you Nigerians are so stubborn to understand? You can have many men in war, but with poor equipment you will never win. If you equip hundreds and hundreds of your men with bow and spears against twenty heavily armed men, no matter how hard your men trained you will end up losing the battle. Back in those years of Shaka, the Zulu impis were the most well trained in combat in Africa, but they lost against a stick of white men who by then had the necessary firepower. You can imagine that by then there was no even a single firearm in Nigeria. Black SA were among the first bantu people to be exposed to fire and that's why even today they use it with passion. I doubt if Nigerian army is well equipped and I can't even recall when was the last time Nigeria ever enter into Arms deal. Nigeria had a lot to deal with, poverty, roads, low cost housing, sanitation, rural development, health, education, social development, etc and so tell me with Nigeria national budget which is not even half of SA budget, how will they buy all those naval equipment to compete with SA in just a year. Unless you are under something more disturbing than hallucinogens, then you will spat that nonsense. Do you think poor Nigerians will ever consume all those guns because that will cost Nigeria fortune, infact it will take all the budget of Nigeria. This is a fact. |
Madam Southy: yea IamI am too. O bloma waar? Mams, Shosha, Garanga or Attridge. |
I am based in Joburg near Pretoria. Are you South African citizen? |
cytell Property: This is the problem with some people, you have now brought in tribalism. The issue i raised does not have any connection with tribes or religion.I fully agree with you, there is no leader in Nigeria who can match his calibre. The only point that I wanted to raise was about his popularity, he is still short of hands when it comes to that department. Many people outside the borders of Nigeria know little about that man. |
cytell Property: You like it or not he remains the greatest Nigerian to date in terms of achievement. He is what Nelson Mandela is to South Africa. You cannot put Obasanjo and Mandela in the same sentence. Obasanjo even today struggles to maintain total popularity in Nigeria and not all Nigerians share the same sentiments about him, especially the igbos. |
agaugust: i will not engage in war of words over a topic of which 99% of people who write on nairaland are not professionals. i work with a military/defence consulting firm in the USA, and i talk to many military officers from the USA and EU, my job also involves many weapon manufacturing companies, and top ranking military analysts who know the secrets of all these countries we are arguing about. you wont have the confidential/secret information that i have unless you work in the military industry or profession. you feel like making south africa number one in your rankings because you are a south african man, no problem sir, go ahead. just know that your patriotic wish will not win a war for your country, the better fighting force will win.I still maintain my position. Expect, professor or not you cannot compare the Nigerian military to SANDF. I flatly deny this fantasy my friend, and wonder what type of hallucinogens you take. The Nigerian military is still dependent upon an old and outdated technology as compared to South Africa. How dare you relegate South African Military to that level that is in par with Nigeria and besides SANDF is 100 years away from Nigeria in terms of Military technology. Just visit www.globalfirepower.com and tell me if you see Nigeria listed in those countries and tell me when was the last time Nigeria enter into an arms deal to replenish their dinosaur type of weapons in their arsenal. Nigeria military is nowhere recognised by the global military firepower because of their inability to trade in arms. It doesn't matter how well trained Nigerian infantry is, but with the kind of fleet and weapons they use, they remain ineffective. SANDF that is SA army, SA navy and SA airforce have much more powerful weapon and firepower that can destroy the whole of Nigeria in a split second. |
agaugust: sorry gentlemen, i think we have some rude and under-aged people writing comments here, or just maybe old men with no good manners, insulting words are used by the south african men on this site and for this topic, i thank God i have decided not to contribute again since some people are not operating at the same privileged level that i am with information directly form USA and EU military circles. true professionals dont waste their knowledge where it is not appreciated.Don't be ashamed of your country and make it as if you are working for US military industries. There is no any country in the world that would allow foreigners to infiltrate their military intelligence, especially not from Nigeria which has been declared a terrorist hub by the US. If you tell us that you are a Nigerian soldier who is earning a meagre salary I would personally agree with you 100%. Do not be ashamed of your country my dear friend and stop playing big about a country that cares less about your wellbeing. You must learn to be patriotic, accept your country with its weaknesses and be proud of Nigeria than always praising imperialists as if they do not have their own infirmities and challenges. |
These chaps are so stubborn to understand. They find it hard to come to terms with the fact that there is no country in Africa that can compete with South Africa. Go and read the book "Capitalist Nigger" by Chika Onyeani, a Nigerian based in USA, who publicly admitted that South Africa is the only country in Africa which manufactures military weapons that compete to the western countries. For your info DENEL, the largest manufacturer of arms in Africa and ARMSCOR are not privately owned, it is listed as a public enterprise under the ministry of public enterprise. DENEL only sold their Potchefstroom based plant which mainly manufactured bombs to the Germans which changed its name to NESCHEM and now recently renamed RDM. |
Whether you like it or not South African National Defence Force remains the best in the continent. Egypt is no more the strongest military in the continent because of the political unrest in that country. Those stats are outdated and thus, need to be updated. South Africa, the only state in Africa to have successfully developed atomic and nuclear weapons equally powerful to destroy the planet earth. The most powerful apartheid SADF and its skillful personnel are still present in the current SANDF the only aspect that changed was an integration of the former military wings of liberation movements such as, MK(ANC), APLA(PAC), AZANLA (AZAPO), BDF(Bophuthatswana), TDF(Transkei), etc into SANDF. The very same Recce team which troubled and kept the Angolan and Cuban soldiers hiding in the boarder war and which is ranked among the best special forces in the world had ever since spread their wings to an advanced level. They have grown in leaps and bounds in terms of military technological developments and they remain the best or so to say, maintain no:1 spot on the continent. Just google. |
No need to panic, this is Mandela routine medical test. There isn't nothing wrong with him generally. Remember that Madiba has to go for these check-ups every now and then because of his aging. |
agaugust: STRONGEST TEN MILITARY POWERS/COUNTRIES IN AFRICA :All these stats are badly flawed. South Africa is indisputably ranked no:1 in Africa. The only African country which designs the most powerful military weapons including fighter helicopter. It compares only to western countries. |
Long live Nelson Mandela long live. Viva Madiba viva!!! |
fame12k: please house, I want to seek opinion from those who have been to different african countries or have information about how good the way of life is in d following african countries, because am about sending job application to themThere is no any beside South Africa. All professionals across Africa are flogging to SA year after year with intend to seek greener pastures. There is no any African country that pays better than them. SA has many Nigerian, Ghanaian, Kenyan, Cuban, Congolese doctors, etc who came here for a better future. |
talk2xp: Well said. Exactly what the muslim always say when people bastardize their religion. Those screaming ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR are also not true muslims. Muhammed only killed at war (some prophets in the bible did)and did not kill anyone after that, lived peacefully with Jews and Christian in Medina had a perfect relationship with Christian in Syria, never fought against them. Acknowledged Jesus, Mary and thought his followers about the teaching of Christ. Never chop off anyones hand for stealing nor killed anyone for committing adultery or fornication. He united the tribes in Mecca and preach peacefully everywhere he went. Some said he slept with an under aged well he never did. Am ready for this debate. Am not a muslim but am into investigative journalism and I hate blaspheming which is too rampant on this forum. You are contradicting yourself indeed. How can you become an investigative journalist and yet you hate blasphemy. Isn't what journalists love the most? It is now high time that you must come out of the shell and declare to us what religion are you. |
