.
Zulus do not live in Hillbrow, they live in Soweto, East rand and Kwazulu Natal. Hillbrow is the capital of Nigerians. It doesn't matter whether Mandela dies or not there won't be any war in South Africa. For what do we stand to gain from war? Mandela will just die and be buried just like his departed friends.

zetdee: Power generation drops to
2,628.6MW

The total amount of electricity
generated in Nigeria as at 6am on
Saturday was 2,628.6 megawatts.
This indicates a sharp drop from the
little above 4,000MW, which the
Federal Government had recently
announced as the country's
generated power.
The drop in generated electricity,
according to the Minister of Power,
Prof. Chinedu Nebo, is as a result of
severe leaks in the supply of gas to
some strategic power plants across
the country.
Nebo, according to a statement on
Saturday, which was signed by his
Special Assistant on Media and
Communication, Ms. Kande Daniel,
described the development as
worrisome.
The minister, in the statement said,
"Total grid generation as at 6am on
Saturday is 2,628.6MW," adding, "With
this low level generation,
management of the grid is currently a
big task, necessitating a nationwide
load shedding."
While explaining the current grid
generation situation, Nebo attributed
the drop to the low gas supply to the
generation plants especially in eastern
Nigeria.
He said three power stations in the
region: Afam IV, Afam VI, and Rivers
Independent Power Plant, were shut
down again on Friday night, as a
result of gas constraints arising from
condensate issue on the Trans
National Pipeline.
This, he said, put total generation loss
from the stations at 624MW.
He said Olorunsogo power station
was also down due to low gas
pressure, and as a result, 89MW of
power was lost.
The minister went further to state that
low head water elevation was also
limiting generation at Kainji and Jebba
hydro stations to one unit each.
Nebo, however, observed that the
Federal Government had moved in to
arrest the crisis in the gas sector as
this was affecting power generation in
parts of the country negatively.
He stated that the government was
assembling a crack team of experts
across the oil industry to investigate in
particular the cause of the severe
leaks in the gas supply channels in the
eastern part of the country and
determine measures to ameliorate the
situation.
The minister said it was painful that
this was happening when many
Nigerians were already rejoicing and
celebrating over the stabilisation of
power nationally.
He noted that as soon as the cause of
the leakage was established, measures
would be taken to fix the problem.
Nebo solicited for understanding and
urged Nigerians to be patient,
stressing that the situation was being
tackled.
Wow! I can't believe this. Gauteng alone will never manage with that nonsense. Obama must just come and help because the whole country on its own is broke.

agaugust: wrong post wrong claim. those are coastal patrol boats not warships. A boat is not equal to a ship. Joker !

the rest of project biro is a south African navy dreamland wish list. all navies in the world have their dreams written on a wish list.

South Africa has NO money to equip the 4 valour frigates you have now, each carry 3 Exocet anti-ship missiles instead of the standard 8 missiles.

South Africa is half broke, no money !

.
Broke with a better budget than Nigeria. Our National budget is double than Nigerias national budget.

agaugust: NNS ARADU will not carry a Missile its fire control cannot use to maximum range. Same with valour frigate. very few navy warships have their fire control radar details on internet. try find that of valour frigate, you may be lucky because south africa published all its military capabilities and that is why people like us know the weaknesses and limitations of all south african weapons. your country opens its mouth too wide about its weapons.

ATR-42 Surveyor and Otomat missile are both Italian made nigerian weapons, and ATR-42 has data/communication links installed, posted that on this forum, direct from nigerian defence budget statement, and beegeagle posted the completetion of the project.

you know i dont care about you ? i really dont. why ? you dont know real war. you flew Rooivalk helicopters against F-7 jets and claimed Rooivalk has air to air missiles when actually they have none ! you lied and teamed up with @andrewza to lie about Rooivalk air to air defence missiles that DONT exist ! i dont have any respect for you on military matters.

40 units of Otomat missiles exist in nigerian navy, proved fact.

Otomat missile has maximum range 180km and needs data-link to reach 180km

Otomat missile does NOT need data-link from range 1km to 120km. Fact.

Read source, i dont care what you write again, i am doing a new naval blockade this month and since @andrewza has ran away from nigerian 24km artillery to position all south african warships 50km to 100km away from nigerian coast, i am going to sink mandela's navy at 100km with a nigerian NNS ARADU 120km missiles. nobody is can stop me. period.

now, finally read and open your b.locked b.rain and note the bolded parts below, you CANNOT k.ill the truth :

QUOTE

"Testing and the future of Otomat

There is no known combat use of Otomat but there were many tests, like the one in 1987, when a Venezuelan Lupo frigate hit an old US destroyer used as target at 122 km, leaving a 6 m hole in it.

Flight took a little over than 400 seconds. In another example at least 8 missiles were bought by US Navy: thanks to a new evasive, final maneuver, the majority of these weapons, called LRAT (Long Range Attack Target) penetrated inside the formidable missile defenses of US ships.

All in all, this missile was and is a very powerful weapon. Without helicopter provided mid-course guidance (especially in presence of enemy fighters), this weapon is still capable of striking well over the horizon. A range of 50 km can be covered with the ship's sensors and missiles like MM.38 Exocet are at their optimum. Between 50 and 120 km is the range that weapons like Harpoon, which have over the horizon capabilities but no data-link update, come into play. At ranges longer than that a target moving in unpredicted directions will give such weapons little or no chance to acquire their target. Finally, over 120 km is where the need for a long range weapon, external targeting platforms and data-linked updates come into play as only with course and target position updating can any long range missile have a chance of engaging a moving target at these ranges "

agaugust: Yes you are right, the fearless Nigerian army continues to fight and continues to kill and be killed, same thing happened to us in Liberia and Sierra Leone wars but we won all the wars at last after some years.

Opposite of that is the cowardly South African army that was too afraid to die and their soldiers union refused to go back into CAR war and fight Seleka rebels to redeem the shattered public image of their internationally disgraced Mandela nation's Army and clean up their historical poor combat history of no single victory grin

.
Nigeria has never engaged into war with any country and you even failed to prove it.

In relation to CAR, you see SA is not Nigeria. The president do not just decide on his own to go to war, the parliament decide. The parliament decided that SA should withdraw troops from CAR mission against Zuma's intention of reinforcements.

Besides, I must tell you the truth, your Armies are not what you think they are with the rate that they are being killed by just a mere insugents. This rate of casualties has even prompted your generals to tell lies out of shame that their force is now reduced into small boys. It is either your armies are poorly resourced or inexperienced.

Now you want to challenge the full force with navy, army, special force brigade and Airforce which is more armed and resourced than your force. Tell me are you right upstairs?

another quote about Otomat missile and that is the standard. whatever number of Otomat you have on board any warship, 2, 4, or 8 missiles, they are standard configured to be fired against one single target in one single attack :

Quote 1

No particular maneuvres are required by the ship: the missiles are capable of changing course after the launch up to 200° so all the Otomat missiles in the ship could be used against the same target in one attack.

Quote 2

The ERATO (Extended Range Air Targeting for Otomat) system, used by the Al-Madinah class frigates built in 1980.

In this case updated target information is provided to the ship which controls up to 16 missiles. This allows a multi-ship launch (Madinah Frigate have eight missiles each) and single ship control of an Otomat salvo for coordinated attack.

Quote 3

It is possible to send up to six corrections for each missile, and attack up to six different targets at once.

Source

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otomat#Developments

saudi arabian AL MADINAH frigate is a 1980 warship as nigerian NNS ARADU, both carry 8 Otomat missiles, both can fire all their 8 Otomat missiles in one coordianted/simultaneous attack against one single target or 6 Otomat missiles in a single coordinated/simultaneous attack against 6 different targets

i am going to use NNS ARADU's Otomat anti-ship missile with its superior long range and 50 nigerian Alpha, L-39, MBB 339, and F-7 jets to sink all the four south african navy valour frigates in that naval blockade before i quit this forum.

after this final battle, jacob zuma will have no navy anymore, then nigeria will invade and re-colonize south africa like your Boer masters !

.
When are you going to stop dreaming? Don't worry it doesn't matter how many fighters do you bring, the Umkhonto will be our saviour. Each missile will go to its target at its own time, remember our frigate will not be alone and will be accompanied by other frigates. Moreover, Nigeria doesn't have more than 50 fighters unless you want to go all over wish list again. The Umkhonto will down all your jets until Jonathan has no airforce anymore.

Boko Haram kill 12 soldiers, 7 policemen in separate attacks in Borno Says JTF boss -PREMIUM TIMES

August 10, 2013 - 16:12 — siteadmin

By Ola' Audu

Twelve soldiers and seven policemen were killed in recent attacks in Borno by suspected members of the Boko Haram, the commander of the military Joint Task Force (JTF), Major General Jah Ewansiah, has said.

The military had last week denied that up to a dozen officers were killed in the Malumfatori attack on soldiers by the Boko Haram on August 4. The JTF spokesman had claimed in a statement that only two soldiers and a policeman were killed in the attack as well as another attack in Bama.

The JTF, like the Nigerian military, is notorious for reducing or denying casualty of soldiers, security officials, and civilians in operations against insurgents and criminals.

Mr. Ewansiah, however, revealed the casualty to the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, when the latter visited the JTF headquarters on Friday to condole with the Task Force over the ugly occurrence.

‘We have lost 12 soldiers in Malumfatori and seven policemen in Bama attacks. But despite that the JTF is resolute and committed to ensure that peace is completely restored in Borno state, even if it means losing their lives,” Mr. Ewansiah said.

The governor donated N1 million to the families of each of the deceased soldiers and policemen.

The JTF had earlier claimed that it killed 32 Boko Haram members in the two attacks.

It doesn't matter, beside the manufacturers of Griffins SAAB have now established a flying school in South Africa where all pilots worldwide who are using Griffins will perfect their skills. More importantly South Africas Griffin pilots have already been appointed instructors of the school. SA is also regarded as having best pilots in the whole world.

agaugust: were you in hospital when i shot down all south african Umbani Guided Bombs 3 months ago in war simulation ? Umbani is NOT a missile, it is a 35km/h horse animal speed bomb, damn too slow for Roland SAM or TYPE 90 AAA of nigerian air defenses.

see why i want to exit this forum soon ? i am tired of repeating the same thing 7 times in 70 days to 7 different south africans.
Wrong! Umbani is very fast and have personally saw it in Lohatlha, there is no much of a difference because umbani is a bomb on a body of missile capsule. The difference between a missile and bomb is that a missile penetrates while a bomb explodes. A bomb cannot be used as an Anti-tank since it does not have the power to penetrate, but can cause a lot of frustrations.

agaugust: south africa has no air to ground missiles, thats why i used Roland SAM to shoot down all your Gripen jets 3 months ago on this forum.
South Africa has Umbani which can fire upto 25 KM range. There is no much of a difference between Umbani and missiles as it behaves like missiles. The Umbani is a guided bomb which can be locked on to the target just like a missile.

then we invade south africa by sea landing our giant size nigerian army and goodluck jonathan re-colonize your soweto nation like the Boer !
There is no need to upgrade, out of that range your Alpha jets will be rendered useless. Your Alpha jets do not have the capability to attack any of our Mekos from that long range.

are you keeping records ? be counting how many times i put the backs of all you south africans in the mud and made your soldiers on nairaland to drink gutter water grin

will likely exit forum this month because i am tired of you south africans senseless posts and making me to repeat an argument 7 times in 70 days because of your r.etarded soweto b.rains

.
All of the first release of forth generation fighters were not properly equipped with RWR (radar warning receiver) and however 4.5th generation had to be introduced with integrated, advanced RWR as part of their avionics to alert pilots timeously about any possible threats. The forth generation fighters have now officially phased out and no further production is being considered unless poor countries such as Nigeria place a special order as we have seen with their outdated F7s. However, the RWR system remain an important element in the avionics of every fighter jets as many only utilise it as an accessories or an add-ons. All Roland SAMs are using radar system to lock on any target which can be easily picked up by sophisticated 4.5th generation fighters and stay clear out of its range whereby alternative measures can be taken, such as the use of long range AGMs missiles and guided munitions (umbani) can be used as an option.

No,Rooivalk was ever crashed. South Africa flew the Griffins from Air force base Makado to Zambia, something the Nigerians have never done with their F7s.
Actually, we had one incident where Rooivalk nearly crashed. It was a minor accident that cannot amount to an actual crash caused by the pilot who was flying very low and accidentally collided with electric cables. The Rooivalk dropped to the ground and suffer minor damages with no one injured.
