Swimming in a 3ft deep pool (where you can stand upright with your head above water so you can breathe) is different from swimming in a 61/2ft deep pool (where you can't do that because you will take in water and drown). The unfortunate death is as a result of ignorance and negligence on the part of the parents who shouldn't have let their kids get to the section of the pool meant for experienced adult swimmers in the first place. In case you don't know, these resorts don't have lifeguards stationed 24 hours, so they place signs warning guests who still want to swim after the lifeguards are gone that they will be doing so in their own risk.

This is such a tragic situation and my heart goes out to the mother and family. But the truth of the matter is that so many people think that swimming is easy and just about getting in the water and paddling around. It is not, if you don't know how to swim well, stay in the shallow end by the side of the pool where you can grab onto the edge or rails.
Many people 'Think' they can swim, but water is not a thing to joke with.
An example of how casual people are towards swimming can be seen during the Gulder Ultimate Search 'try out'.

To my shock and horror many people when asked if they could swim said 'yes' if not for the lifeguards quite a few would have drowned (watch the clip here -

The situation at the Resort is strange to say the least, but a few things point to the fact that none of the 3 could swim 'very well' or had experience or training in saving a drowning person.
It is not as simple as just jumping in the pool and pulling the person out, a person panicking during drowning is a risk to the rescuers especially when they are not strong swimmers themselves and or trained in rescue.
Having said that, please go and learn some basic swimming skills as you never know when you will need it,
do not approach a body of water casually, drowning can happen so fast.

Calling you dumb would be generous. He was not found guilty by any court, the only reason he was slapped with her legal fees was the fact that he had exceeded the date for withdrawal as stated.

Secondly, within the district he filed the case stipulates a 4 years max age gap for individuals under 16 which is the age of consent. It would only be stupid for him to have carried on with the case.

I followed the story when she first came out with her allegations a while ago. I make no assumptions. I pieced the true story together from her own candid posts on her personal blog and also from the desperate emails she sent to the guy after he dumped her, he leaked those emails in a bid to prove his own innocence.

Well the courts saw through his selected leaking of emails that favoured him!

In court, you dont select which emails to publish, you must show all!

The ones he published were obviously one sided , but no judge in the states is that ignorant, so obviousy when both sides of the emails and whatever evidence she had came out , he knew the game was up .

One thing we must give to Sugabelly, is that she has used her Blog as a diary or electronic journal which cannot be faked so her posts going all the way back make for very interesting reading on this matter.

According to what was posted here, the court did not find anyone guilty. He dropped the case hence the reason why he was ordered to pay her legal fees. Unless you have documents other than the ones posted here, I'm finding it hard to see how you reach such a conclusion.

Did you read the over 300 page case file? or you relied on just a few pages posted on twitter? or maybe you are not aware that cases are public in the US and anyone can find and read them?

Why was she victorious and awarded these fees, because the Plaintiff Audu withdrew his own case because he knew that his intimidation tactics could not work because she had too much evidence to prove her case!

Very glad mom and baby are doing well, but since mom was put under anesthesia during the birth and the birth was not "natural," does mom actually recognize that this is her baby? Animals are not like humans in that we can explain a c-section or assisted birth to a human mother, but we can't do that to an animal. I wonder if the fact of the mom being unconscious and unaware during the birth impeded the mother-baby bonding. Hopefully not.

I had that thought myself, but they also stated that they are now inseparable since being re united, so hopefully she won't reject baby somewhere down the line. I'm sure they are observing them carefully.

You only pay for FB ads at the end of a cycle, but its good to key in your card details so whenever the cycle is reached they will take their money from the card. Im not sure how your bank works but if you have online banking, you should be good to go. Mine is a Naira Master card. Never put your PIN anywhere online please!!!
