Hi. Someone else had the same issues and it was also a degree from Uniport. I think going by the trend ICES does not evaluate Uniport degrees. Sorry about that. My advice quickly create a Wes account and send them your transcript ASAP. lordragner: morning people, I got this mail from ICES after I applied for ECA. I finished from Uniport and my transcript was sent manually by courier from the graduate school to ICES. What do I do? Is there any document I am to send apart from my masters degree transcript and success letter? |

wrong CBT tells you the number of words you have typed for the writing test. Richness1104: It depends solely on your skills. CBT requires that you type fast and correctly. Being able to read and understand on a screen is also an essential skill. You can try answering some test through the two means and decide which works well for you. Also note that there is no auto correct tool on these computers and it will also also not tell you the number of words. |

answer straight as you go, although you will be given a paper you can take notes on DadR: Thanks for the prompt feedback.
Did you type in your answers straight or write them down on paper and thereafter transfer them? |

Thank you. I only used IELTS online to study. For listening all I can say is pay very close attention to everything that is said, your spelling and the instructions. There is enough time to type down your answers so that shouldn't be a problem. Also I found the listening test on Ieltsonline harder than the actual ielts exam was, and my average during the practice was 38 and I did about 3 volumes. So my advice is to practice well with that and you might find the actual ielts easy. For reading, I'm a very fast reader so I was done with the exam in about 20mins (this was also the same while I was studying for the exam). Finishing super early gave me adequate time to go over the reading task 3 times which helped cause I changed some answers the 2nd time around. Also E2 language blog has some tips on answering T, F, NG questions which made a huge difference for me as this was a section of reading I seriously struggled with during practice. All the best in your Ielts. DadR: Congratulations. So happy for you.
Please any tips on preparing for Listening & Reading sections of the CBT IELTS? |

You don't need your original TRF to request for a remark ObeBabyJay: Thanks sis, its BC. I was told the TRF will be sent via courier to my address here in Kaduna. I should get it by next week. |

EOR Result came out positive. Remarked only my writing and the score changed to 7 from a 6.5. I'm so happy because when I received the email last night I couldn't sleep well because the email was so cryptic so I didn't even know what the outcome was because I was on the final statementof my task 2 when the time ran out. Mstomie: So my IELTS results just came out and I'm a little disappointed with the score in writing. I am going to apply for a remark ASAP.

Hi according to my sister, you will need to go to the Indian embassy and collect a form for "miscellaneous services on Indian Passport" and also write an application for request for a police certificate from India. I hope this helps. Oluwole3839: Thanks. I’ve emailed and called a number of times. Kindly advice on the email address she contacted. |

My sister did her's recently after receiving ITA. You would need to reach out to the Indian embassy via call or email telling them that you need a police report and they will schedule a day for you to come in. Her police report took about a month and 2 weeks to come through , so you might want to start your process ASAP Oluwole3839: If you know how to process India's PCC(Preferably from Nigeria), kindly enlighten me. |

Bank will only give you PTA if you have a return ticket. iaatmguy: all those with PPR OR COPR as the case may be, please do not forget to get PTA ( personal travel allowance )from your bank. you are entitled to $3000-$4000 at official rate also start booking your ticket(s) as well for cheaper fares. the closer the date, the less chances of one getting a fair price. All the airlines' stop-over are usually similar, as there are no direct flights to Ca from Nigeria yet. |

For someone who claims to do a lot of things, the least you can do is verify an information before posting it. The story about Canadian Prime minister begging Buhari for 1 million Nigerians is fake. Next time verify an information before continuing the trend of sharing fake news. rentAcock: Quite sad, so many people are excited to flee their motherland to help grow and build up a white man's land. It's just like what my friend used to say, 'immigration is modern day slavery except this time they do not have to forcibly chain able bodied men to slave ships or rape our women, they just make it easier for your youngest and brightest minds to simply emigrate in droves'. Who will build this country if you all leave, have you ever thought of that? You think once you run to Canada you will still have any reason to return home? How about your kids? Do you think by taking them to Nigeria for 3weeks vacation will entice them to one day relocate to their father land? Sure nobody thinks about these things. The biggest problem the black race has is selfishness while the white man thinks about the greater good of a community. Everyone only thinks about what will benefit them and their family and that's where it ends. Even in the so called abroad, your fellow Nigerian will not want to accommodate or guide you because they think you will be better than them. Common info about schools, work or getting certain government documents, your fellow Nigerian in the diaspora will not help you. White countries and white people In general are successful because they collaborate and help each other. U.S, Canada and the UK are amongst the most developed countries today due to strong trade and military alliance. A white employer will hire a fellow white man for a lucrative job position before he hires an immigrant with the same credentials.
Before anyone says I'm ranting because I was denied Visa or whatever PPR thing you guys relish here like a lottery ticket, I also used to think abroad was the be all end all after graduating from university. I also hustled and eventually left Nigeria. I made $265,000 that year working several overtime hours (I have the W-2 and tax return forms to prove it) but I was never really satisfied because this part of me kept feeling like I betrayed my country. It takes a special kind of person to self reflect and then decide to walk away from a lifestyle of adequate security, good health care system, great schools, cheap food and law & order but without any sacrifice, Nigeria will perpetually remain a 3rd world cesspool. I moved back, got a job and started a mentorship and scholarship program where we find youths whose families are unable to pay their elementary and secondary school fees and we partner with local businesses to raise funds for these kids. School isn't for everyone, we also train several kids in IT, carpentry, plumbing, construction and mini importation. Has it been easy? No. Do I sometimes miss the convenience of my 2 bedroom apartment in north Los Angeles? You bet I do. But do I feel accomplished knowing that I'm making a positive change in small ways that will alleviate poverty, possibly reduce crime and put more food on the tables of a few Nigerians? Certainly.
The UN needs to look into countries like Canada that take advantage of the dire situation in Nigeria and prowl on our brightest and youngest minds for the sole purpose of developing their country and replacing their aging workforce. Just today, their Prime minister was begging President Buhari to give him 1 million Nigerians. This just sounds like the year 1756 where the white man met with local chiefs and traded silver, mirrors and gun powder for African slaves. While I know most of you have made up your mind to flee your motherland, the least I can urge you to do is to find reputable charities and NGOs in Nigeria and donate to them once in a while. Goodluck. |

Yes that's the norm. TRF is only collected from you if the score changes. Troysam2017: Hello House, I went to pick up my TRF at the British Council Office yesterday. I also requested for EOR but the lady who attended to me didn't take my TRF. I was thinking British Council holds on to the test result pending the outcome of the EOR. Please is this the norm? |

You are expected to answer as you go. Thereis only 2 minutes I believe to go through the listening test after each section. Xyzee: Dear All,
Please, for those who have done the Computer-Based Listening Test; Is there anytime allowed to type your answers from your notes?
I noticed there is a whole 10minutes allowed for the PBT. |

ITA DON LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Mstomie: Hello, silent reader here. My sister created her EE profile in October last year but didn't meet the CSR Score as her score was around 399 due to IELTS. She rewrote her IELTS early last month and this boosted her score to a 465 which we updated her EE profile with the new score.
Down to the issue, she is yet to receive ITA from this current draw I'm just curious as to how long it takes for the email to come in and her profile updated.
Thank You. |
