There is no way happening in Venezuela would affect Nigeria.

Venzuela crude oil is quite complex to refine and it would take very long years for the infrastructure to be put in place in order to increase their output. Infact most of the oil companies are developing cold feet from taking the risk of investing in Venezuela.

So how will this affect Nigeria budget?

US had done this before - against the then sitting Panama president which the US arrested in 1989 but it was even In a different context. Panama was at war with the US. Trump has ratcheted it up by kidnapping a sitting president whose country was not at war with the US . Trump didn’t even seek congressional approval for this military action as he should. How is he different from Maduro - they are both tyrants.

The international world order is being assaulted by the same country that largely created it.
