Wutinky:When US rescued an american citizen, that was a covert operation. They were in and out without the terrorist knowing, and Trump was not in the saddle when this happened. This is different. Trump had planned and announced they were coming on social media. Who does that? The operation can fester. You only know the start of a military operation, you never know how it will end. Like Mike Tyson says - everyone has a plan till he gets punched in the face. Think. Think |
Wutinky:So, you are the one who will draw the boundary and scope of war when the dynamics change. Too much Hollywood movie is the main problem of you guys. |
This is the person that wants to correct flaws in other part of the world. He is a threat inside his own country and the Americans voted against his party few days ago just because of him. His popularity is at 37%, destroying democracy in his own country. A felon, seated inside the white house. What a mess! Joker |
truthera:How many times do you remember Kanu in 24 hours. You Dey eat what you like and go about your business while cheering him on anytime he makes Nairaland front page. Kanu is frustrated - he wanted to enjoy freedom like you , sadly it will end so terrible for him. |
Livingstone124:Lack of exposure is your issue. When the US installed a felon as President, who said anything? It’s their internal affairs. You are calling for intervention that will make you run leave your wife and children behind when bombs start to drop. Reason! |
CyynthiaKiss:You keep missing the point. Let me even accept your assumption that the FG is "pampering" the terrorists, it does not mean the US would just throw her weight around. That is not how the rule-based world order works. No nation is subservient to the other. If a nation does not like what the other nation is doing, they cut off diplomatic relationship with that country by recalling their ambassadors in that country and shutting down their embassies there. FG needs help from her foreign allies but not in the way the US is acting - planning and communicating war plans on social media - who does that?. There are rules that dictate how nations should be dealing with one another and this rule was largely written, promoted and backed by the same US. Read and learn about International relation. |
CyynthiaKiss:I wonder why you guys reason this way - is it lack of proper exposure or quality education? No serious Government plans wars on social media. The world we are in is rule-based and these rules are largely formulated, written and backed up by the US, sadly it is the US that is upending these rules. Each country needs to recognize the sovereignty of the others, the time of using military might to redraw the map of another country is over. That is why Western allies are backing up Ukraine against Russian - We are not in the time of Napoleon or Hitler. FG does not tell the US not to intervene, they want foreign help against the Islamic Insurgency, not only from the US but other foreign allies, but such help will be in form of collaboration with the FG, which will come via established diplomatic channels. Trump planning and communicating war plans on a sovereign nation on social media, issuing ultimatums on social media is an aberration, and against the world order which the US is the main backer. Think Nigerians. Reason. |
naptu2:Trump's US is showing too much display of power and arrogance. US leadership over the years had been used to advance good cause of global leadership. Using power this way is not good for the US. Other nations are taking notes and new alliances will be formed. |
owobokiri:Look at that bolded, it shows you never understood what you were writing about. They did NOT kill him . He died by hanging after conviction by an Iraqi court. |
festacman:You dont just use data, you look at biases in data and try to see if that data could be cleaned up to improve its integrity. You keep hammering on data without considering its integrity. You even mentioned its good to have flawed data than no data at all. Not all data you could put to use. You do not understand data. |
festacman:You are talking with an individual who works with massive data to build various models and powerful agentic AI. You have not been exposed to the volume of highly classified data I have worked with. A flawed data had eliminated a whole unit of US military elite unit. Go and watch the "Osama Bin Laden" documentary on Netflix. You guys just assume and you feel the US military is all powerful. My last piece to you. |
tbrandzdpm:Explain how you arrived at this conclusion. |
festacman:Once data gathered loses integrity, it loses its value, and it could be catastrophic in intel world. US like other nations spend billions of dollars to gather intel, and the data could be flawed, making intel to be non-credible. So, you might never know the source of data they have. Innocent family could be bombed instead of the terrorists. Any military in the world is as good as the quality of its intel. That was the point I was making here. |
festacman:The same intel that failed in Iraq when the US claimed Saddam Hussein had Weapon of mass destruction which turned out to be false. They are humans, stop seeing them like the almighty. |
He (Kanu) is the number 1 culprit and that explains why he’s rotting in jail. He (Kanu) actually committed genocide of his own people. Justice will start from him when he is eventually sentenced to death by hanging or life imprisonment. |
mysticwarrior:Through Hollywood movie, most people think US is so super rich that they can spend as they like. For more than a month , the US government has shut down over lack of fund, the US govt wants to go out there to borrow money. US has the highest debt in the world. |
MadeInTokyo:Go and read the New York Times. Trump military attempt will just create a spectacle and achieve nothing. You can’t fight and eradicate Islamic militant that way
|
YouAreNobody:My message was actually directed to incurable optimists, people of good will. People who are determined to be great as the fortune of the country turns around. People that are not cynics, who wish their country well and who will receive in multiple folds what they wish Nigeria. |
spiSeyi:For you. For some of us, we are still riding high on the shoulder of the giant. |
This good train has refused to stop. It is the dawn of new era. The sleeping giant is waking up and the whole world is put on notice. |
The Nigeria train has refused to stop. It is the dawn of a new era. The sleeping giant is waking up and the whole world is put on notice. |
Eriokanmi:The bolded shows you are looking at the US from the usual Hollywood lens. I respectfully terminate my discourse with you because this convo would just go on endlessly. |
Eriokanmi:Those “drones” are not cheap. So if you were Trump, you would be squandering your taxpayer’s money on military action that has no direct benefit to the US taxpayer? |
HacheNoire:Unfortunately, most people here do not understand the mess the US is in. I blame Hollywood movies. |
HacheNoire:Exactly. US is going bankrupt. The US Government is currently shut down because democrats refuse to raise the debt ceiling. It is not sustainable for a country to keep borrowing to fund their lifestyle. |
jayce232:Each country has a strategy. US gives out aids (large chunks of which Trump has cancelled) to gain leverage on those nations. For instance, those countries vote alongside them, even when they dislike US arguments, at the UN. China does not need leverage. She needs partnership and with promise not to interfere in your internal affairs. So, they designed their “road and belt” initiative to partner with countries to build infrastructure in those countries which those countries would pay back over time. So it depends on the what you feel is better but for China and US, their endgame drives their actions. |
Mccullum:You perfectly understand the dynamics. |
alphaconde:It is borrowed money to serve as a leverage for you to do their biddings. US spends more than she earns reason she is going bankrupt. They don’t “make” it, they borrow and now tax their citizens to death to pay back. There is no more USAID, why quoting and showing the pictures ? What US gains from those countries is more than the money given - LEVERAGE |
LagosOrigin:Mr. warmonger, tell me how much you are contributing to the cost of funding the war that so much excite you . You want America’s taxpayers to fund your war while you are in Nigeria making no contribution. The US is currently in a sorry state due to the nonsense Trump is doing. Americans are queuing up daily on street for SNAP aids which has been halved. Medical insurance has risen astronomically and unaffordable for many Americans.. Americans can’t take care of her citizens medically and you are here getting excited for them to channel their fund for your war. You must be kidding me. Does it work like that or you think those military assets come free? Americans are paying for them and they no longer want to be paying for that. They need the money internally to improve their lives. They are being taxed to death and they are losing their jobs at an alarming rate. When Nigeria wanted to build a train linking Nigeria to Niger republic, I knew how you guys complained on this platform. However, it’s so convenient for you to ask citizen of another country to fund wars in your country while you contribute nothing. That’s being hypocritical. |
[quote author=NaijaRoyalty post=137366789]Source: judicial killings. Americans are hungry and in dire strait, yet he’s wasting taxpayers money on firing missile which cost more than one million dollars per one to conduct an operation which violates international law. Midterm election can’t come sooner next year. All this madness will stop. Yesterday’s election results had shown him the direction the political climate is moving. |
DMCY:Is that how asylum system works? By go to the US consulate in your country to apply for an asylum? These people are hilarious. There are millions on asylum list in the US whose cases have not been resolved. He shouldn’t worry about being part of the US army, they have the numbers already, Ordinary simple process, most of you do not know how it works. Comedian |
[quote author=HonNL post=137363744] should simmer down on this. Is Ted Cruz a serious politician to be taken seriously? Nigerians wil be on this case till 2030. |
