Even when Oshimen was there, he was just running around and not being strategic.

Congo is taking them apart.

Congolese look so menacing.

Anytime they move forward, they look so deadly.

Nigeria had them on the rope for the first 20 mins but wasted so many chances.

It is anybody's game now. The gloves are off.

Ndidi literarily passed the ball to him.

Well, no blame time but Congo has been knocking the door since.

Renunciation happens everywhere — but Nigerians aren’t renouncing because they “hate” their country; they’re seeking what their country consistently fails to provide: security, functioning systems, and dignity. Naturalised citizens are not “second-class” for choosing stability; they are simply people who refuse to let their future be trapped by bad leadership. And instead of blaming those who escape dysfunction, the real question is: why do people born elsewhere rarely feel the need to run from their own countries in the first place? Fix the conditions, and the loudness will turn into pride
I thought people should not be renouncing their citizenships from your so-called "perfect world", "paradise on earth".

You are the person who knows that Nigerians "hate" their country. You are their mouthpiece.

If you are a "naturalised" citizen, open your passport and you will see your place of birth in Nigeria boldly written there. It is there for a reason.

Keep hating while some of us still keep loving.

Dear Scott Bolshevik, People don’t celebrate Western citizenship because Nigeria is unlivable — they celebrate the stability, systems, and opportunities their own leaders failed to provide. Nigerians thrive everywhere except where governance holds them back. Fix the structures, and you’ll see people celebrate Nigeria the same way.
And the places you consider “livable” see their own citizens voluntarily renouncing their citizenship for one reason or the other each year.

Nigerians are too loud mouth. So, it is citizenship through naturalisation that is making people talk down the country who gave them passport to travel in the first instance. What of those who have this citizenship by birth - what should they now do?

When you get the passport, your place of birth would be fully stated inside the passport, telling the world you do not have the citizenship through birth - still a second class citizen whom the citizenship is still liable to being stripped.

Let him wait let me get mine next month I will celebrate it to high heaven. He will not understand because he did not witness the disgraceful country called Nigeria.
I wonder how some of you talk.

You are currently holding Nigeria citizenship (and passport) as you type and you referred to it as “disgraceful”. What level of ingratitude.

So if you earn your citizenship next month, would you be the first or the last? What exactly will change in your life? Will you be Elon Musk overnight? He’s actually throwing you a shade.

Earning a citizenship of any country doesn’t translate to wealth. I hope that sinks.
