I am talking about hisense curve - the screen seem to crash much sooner for no apparent reason and replacement is out of the question.

Op don't buy any outdated model of second hand tv thinking you're saving money. Your budget is a bit low for a good 50-inch smart uhd otherwise I would recommend LG nano cell series for their subperb picture and excellent audio output. You can go for LG un-series, but you need to add 40k for the 50-inch. The newer Hisense models come second in my recommendation given your budget, but from experience I suggest avoid curved screens. Samsung crystal smart tvs are also good but you need to save up even more.
