Politics › Re: Joe Igbokwe Begs Tinubu To Release Nnamdi Kanu by mu2sa2:
Nnamdi Kanu will not be released unconditionally. He would be given some conditions to be set free. One of the conditions is likely to be that he publicly renounce violence. Anyone who has listened to his belligerent statements on radio biafra will agree that that condition is fair because Nnamdi Kanu is a terrorist who had been inciting violence in the SE. But, will his release, even if conditional, end the igbo-on-igbo killings in SE? Not likely, because Kanu doesn't have the immediate capacity to stop what he started. In fact he is most certainly leaving for his country - he holds a British passport. As things stand, the only way the senseless killings can be stopped is for the security forces to take down the criminals perpetrating it. The people of SE should say enough is enough and join hands with security forces to see the back of these bloodthirsty igbo hoodlums feeding on the blood of their kinsmen.

Clearly, lot of Nigerians have problems understanding common use of English.

That I said you'll hardly find "crowds" in their banking halls means ordinary Nigerians don't patronise them? Are you serious right now? Do you not understand you can have people around you and not term them to be a crowd? When you walk into branches of First bank, GTCo, Zenith bank, UBA, etc.., there's always the possibility you'll wait on a queue or sit down to wait for a while cause of crowds. The same scenario is hardly obtainable in Wema and Sterling banks.

That's what I meant by that statement, since you're too small-minded to have understood without burdening me with an explanation.. huh huh
It is, maybe, because they're more efficient in attending to customers in-branch/online that's why you don't see crowds in their banking halls compared to the baba go-slow banks.

Lol. I was shock when i wanted to order wooden spoon and grater from konga. Shipping fee was N3500 something I bought for N4500 the price of the thing even increases from the last time i wanted to buy it all in the name of subsidy removal. Shipping fee use to be N800-M600.

I bought another small thing N2500 shipping fee was N2000 i shock. Nigeria to Nigeria shipping fee is 85% of what I bought online.

All this happened this morning. Something konga use to ship for less that N800 - N600. This increases in shipping price is not just only the fuel for shipping it. But in general of all other things concerning the bad economy tinubu brought to Nigeria.

Nigerians are already missing buhari. The way things are going tinubu will end up the worst president to ever emerge from Nigeria. Inec chairman really sold Nigeria
The samething happened to me. I placed an order for two small items worth 14k and the shipping fee was 10k. I just cancelled the order ASAP.

SonofGod231:
Send forth is very correct.
It's an adverbial phrase of purpose and an idiomatic expression of mission. You can call it a phrasal verb.
The verb send can take any noun or pronoun in between. For example "They sent me forth to speak with you from Cambridge" or "They sent the super falcons forth for a chance to win the FIfa world cup".
Well,I can't be running to Google every now and then like you but when've attained a certain level of higher education in communication skills you will realize English language is not your mate.
The usages you cite are correct - send forth used as phrasal verb. But Op says "send-forth dinner" which sounds awkward- why not just "Dinner for the super falcons..." Peace.

SonofGod231:
Yeah, the word is actually send forth with no hyphen.
Your point now is ?
The dictionary definition of send forth has no bearing with the meaning you ascribe to it. In proper usage send-forth party is wrong. A sendoff is the correct word to use in the contest, meaning a party for a person who is leaving; a farewell party.(Dictionary.com)
Sports › Re: Send-Forth Dinner For The Super Falcons Ahead Of The Women's World Cup by mu2sa2: 9:21pm On Jul 02, 2023
SonofGod231:
Lemme break it down.Dem dey use Send-off for cases wey the person or people dey leave for good and fit no return.Dem dey actually send dem away.
Like how dem send you away for secondary school,na send-off.
Or how dem take pursue a pastor to another branch by moving him for good,na send-off. but this type wey person go just go do one or two come back na send-forth.
Like how dem dey send army go war,na send-forth party.
You grab?
Your definitions get k-leg. There's no entry "send-forth" in the dictionary. The dictionary ( Merriam Webster) only define "send forth" (two words, no hyphen) as a phrasal verb meaning - 1) to cause (something) to be heard e.g "She sent forth a loud cry"; 2) to cause (light, heat etc) to move from a source e.g "The tropical flowers sent forth a wonderful fragrance."

maclatunji:
1. Limit the liquid you drink at night.

2. Pee immediately before you sleep.

3. Set alarm for around 2.30 am to force yourself to get up to pee.

4. Hope you are not viewing erotica, it might be adding to the pressure to pee.

5. Mentally tell yourself, it stops now, a few accidents might happen but stick to the process. Like Rome, you might not achieve your objective in a day but you should eventually, Godwilling.

P.S: Prayers are also always helpful.
Op should not eat or drink anything after 6 pm and shouldn't go to bed before 10 pm. This means he will have his evening meal early. By the time he retires to bed he would have emptied his bladder and is not likely to have the urge to pee at night. In case there may be need to pee, he should time himself or get somebody to wake him up like 3-4 hours into sleep. If Op can maintain this routine, bedwetting will be gone from him - God willing - without medication, just sheer will-power. Good luck.
