Pray, the money is used for intended purpose. You see, there's a state university that kept clamouring for increase in subvention. The governor then asked to look at the university's financial books - to his surprise, the Vice chancellor alone had claimed N200m on foreign trips! To repeat the word will also amount to blasphemy. It's like publication in the (English) law of defamation - the maker and the person who publishes it (e.g newspaper) are liable. Go to Internet and listen to the audio of what Deborah said.

You see, the word she used is unmistakably abusive, vulgar and unacceptable. Even to repeat it by another person may be considered inappropriate. There's no way you can try to explain it as harmless. I don't think there's an English equivalent for the word. That's the word Deborah used to insult Muhammad, prophet of Islam in an Islamic city , and to add salt to injury she provoked her targeted audience by boasting that nothing would happen because holy ghost fire would protect her. Is it correct for a supposed Christian to behave like this - did Jesus ever insult anybody ( like so-called Christians of today do even here on nl)?

Very sensible post. I don't know what a Christian will gain by insulting muslims or their Prophet. Look at muslims - no muslims will ever insult Jesus, not even one out of 1.2 billion muslims worlwide. Deborah was killed needlessly, but she shouldn't have lost her life if she acted wisely and not deliberately recklessly. She spoke hausa with Sokoto accent perfectly like a native speaker ( I don't know whether hausa is her native tongue). Having been living in an overwhelmingly Muslim community and with her fluency in hausa she should have known that the abusive hausa word she used would evoke the kind of emotion it did. Even if a Muslim had used that word, he would have been in the same boat with her. This, though, is not justifying people taking the law into their own hands because only a court of law can pronounce a person guilty of an offence.

Why insult prophet Muhammad in a dispute with your classmates and then refuse to apologise even on intervention of the school authorities?
