sikowitz17: please I have one honest question ooo, how you take get am? Cos in the last 2 years I’ve written the exams, we never left the halls with the question paper... so how you take get past questions?
For those of you interested in navy pq, I think I have one oga shared one time like that. Just send a pm and I'll send it to you for free. Good luck with Nigerian Navy exams
sikowitz17: i got mine from my original school in Ogun a few years ago.. paid 8k or so
When I wanted to change my flsc this year, I needed it urgently within the space of few hours coz the old one I was using had a little but forgivable mistaken in it, I travelled down to minna from Abuja, got it and went back that same day. I was also able to beat deadline too. As long as money dey, some things are just easy (if you're not breaking any rules o)
sikowitz17: i like it when people think navy will mark their exams Lmaooo
they don't know the standard of the exams na smoke. But who knows? Anything fit happen so it's advisable to prepare before hand so as not to get caught off guard
Lami1996: Baba I go ministry for Lagos, dem say dem no fit give me say make I go my school wey I write, the school just gimme testimonial based on say na 2006. People in the house, abeg talk. Every advice na advice

Derawalters: Public service announcement.. The naval officer(Lt cmdr) in this picture is still hale and hearty. I was with him very recently abeg. Ejoor make we try dey verify news/reports before posting them here. May the soul of late Lt Col Abu Ali and other fallen heroes keep resting with the Almighty. Peace.
Thank you. I'll take it down now. That's why I said "I heard" Modified
Lami1996: Pls,I have been following this thread silently too bro,for my FSLC I dropped my testimonial as I couldn't get the government own,I hope they won't be any problem? My ogas abeg answer me
Try and get one from ministry of education. Depending on your state, I got one this year from a school nearby. It mustn't be the school you graduated from. I hate to say this, but if you don't know the principal, you can grease his/her hand small something from 5-10k. Explain to em what you need it for, some would oblige without stressing you. Good luck
Correction: 1. That doesn't look like NDA cadets. I think they're NMS cadets 2. That's not job, when you see job you go know . What you saw in that video is called massaging. Example of jobs include planting, hanging, hunching etc depending on the desire of who sold the job for you
sikowitz17: I have a friend that got air force... he passed out and was posted to maiduguri and has been there for a while, he comes and goes! Told me he couldn’t wait to leave there! Air Force DSSC!
Bros make we quiet this matter coz e go be like say person dey form over sabi. NAF, NN are good and I'm not disputing it. But the way people see army like death sentence na wetin dey vex me pass
SFCommander2: Everybody's boot must touch Northeast- be it Army, Navy or Air Force.
BTW, as regards that picture, I believe that must be the AFSF, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Force
Yes, its AFSF. I've one particular friend who's a major and he's not stingy with info about military to me. Apart from welfare for officers, there's no much difference in terms of work. Same competition for ranks and positions if not fiercer there. No be everything person go talk online.
SFCommander2: Naval personnels dey Lake Chad area on top the insurgency matter.
Please quiet m. Leave them to dey imagine say na white white always dem go wear. And some think NN officers are invincible to shekau boys. If you like hold Tavor make I hold AK47, na still d same fire we go face
This is late Lt. Col Abu Ali with his friend a naval officer. Shey una see them inside NE.
I am too old for SSC as I am 28yrs and my course isn't listed for DSSC
So, I've been a bit confused and plain sad
But I wish you guys luck.... I'll try and find a way to join you guys in battle
Brother please do not be depressed. As long as it's one year difference anything can happen. I noticed Ramirez has spoken to you. I'm sure they understand the technical know how of these things from experience. If you're still in doubt, you can always message any of us.
QuadrilAyinde: In my Opinion, I think the reason why We might not be Able to Get these Beauties is simply coz of the Report by the International NGOs operating in Borno state as regard Human Rights Abuse by the 9ja Power Authorities, thus Activating Some Sanctions against us (eg the Leahy Law that prevented the USA from Selling weapons to Us during President Jonathan's Regime)
Bro apart from that, generally American hardware is expensive and difficult to procure. And at best, they'll give you a tiny fragment of what you actually need. Thank God Trump is the POTUS and his foreign policy is business oriented compared to the past POTUS
ugo4u: We have non of those Vehicles in our armoury, infact even with your money you won't get most of them from manufacturers the best you can do is to get a Chinese copy like the VT4s.
Americans are very stingy man most especially with military hardware. That's why I like Chinese and sometimes eastern bloc. But the downside to procurement in eastern bloc is that it's prone to corruption and sometimes you can't really tell the battle damage or attrition of that hardware. If Nigeria can have a good military relationship with Russia and China. But that means we're almost along with the communist and Nigeria dey fear sanctions in case we do enter their trap (US)
The VT-4 is equipped with GL5 Active Protection System (APS). The roof-mounted APS offers a high level of protection against MBT, Armoured Vehicles, Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, and anti-tank weapons.
The VT4 tank advanced features also include Smoke Grenade Launchers (SGL) and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) protection system to protect the occupants.
VT-4 is actually a beast but can't be compared to M1 Abrams
ecomog1990: Well my bros, I am @ecomog1990, not at all @komekn !
It's true most people here don't understand these things, but they also argue a lot more than they want to learn, even when they are clearly wrong on facts.
I can't continue here because it will attract endless arguments, and best way to avoid arguments is to not comment much or to not stay long on the thread, just drop in a few posts and disappear for a very very long time.....while I have fun enjoying reading other people's post n comments.
Ok, I wasn't confusing you for komekn I was trying to copy to him Next time I'll use Cc komekn
QuadrilAyinde: However, modern heavily armored vehicles, such as MAIN BATTLE TANKS (M1 Abrams, Russian T-14 Armata, Challenger 2 Streetfighter etc) are generally too well protected (WITH THICK COMPOSITE OR REACTIVE ARMOUR ) to be penetrated by an RPG, unless less-armored sections of the vehicle are exploited. The bottom line point is that If only the Troops on the Warfront can be Provided with the Right Machinery, I see No reason Why Any Personnel will ever think of Running Away from an Assignment or a Task
Is VT-4 tanks RPG-7 resistant and if possible an anti tank?
ugo4u: The movie has alot of inaccuracies, chief of them is the scene where the allied forces attacked German AT positions. The Shermans (Tanks used by the allied forces) destroyed camouflaged German Anti tank guns, and the Germans missed the slow moving Shermans tank 5 times from point blank range, firing with a HV 75mm cannons this is practically impossible. However, the movie is a delight to watch arguably one of the best Armoured war movie shot. It shows the brutality of tank warfare's which is usually a shift from the normal movies shot from the perspective of infantry warfare.
Most of the officers I have met always talk about how they all dread the Armoured corp as majority of them run to infantry. According to them as an infantry soldier you can easily alight from your tactical vehicle and japaa on foot but as a tank Commander/operator it's almost a hopeless situation since rifle rounds hardly penetrates a tank most likely the enemy will demobilise you with a high explosive ordnance e.g RPG-7, Anti-tank rounds and you know what that means? Barbecue things
You're right, personally I dread armoured corps, but if one is very good with the tanks, you'd be a formidable force to be reckoned with. About the movie I was surprised when the german anti tank guns were able to deflect the Sherman so easily. I mean, they fired 3 point blank shots and they all deflected until he was able to hit the turret there. I love the movie gaskiya
That movie made me appreciate armoured corps, but I still no want m. Infantry is still the Queen. But do you think there are experienced and skilful battle tank commanders in Nigeria with exception of Late Lt.Col Abu Ali? Coz the way that guy manoeuvred that tank, the battle against the german beast and the final battle against that battalion. To me, the american soldiers won considering the size and odds against them. That last scene also proved how effective and deadly snipers can be
ecomog1990: Wow! You very funny bro You are trying to correct what you don't understand, biko o. You are mistakingly confusing ARA II MRAPs own ORDINARY 4 sides 4 pieces nearby objects view daylight cameras that all modern MRAPs have, with a military grade one single piece for all round directions mast mount rotating 360° view PTZ camera Microbolometer technology powered on Ezugwu MRAP that can see far away objects over a kilometer range
Do you know the meaning of PTZ ? Check Proforce official website again, ARA II specifications does not include any Thermal Imaging PTZ camera night vision device with Triple Stages DRI.
Look again at the Ezugwu photo I chose, I picked a pic showing its PTZ Night Vision Thermal Imager mast showing clearly, do you see such vital equipment on ARA II ?
Can you give detailed descriptions with images? Personally I want to learn most of these things you mentioned and where/how to identify them, know the difference between them on MRAP, APC, IVF etc instead of just mere knowing some of the specifications without understanding the meaning and uses. I'm sure 70% of followers of this thread are quite oblivious to some of these terms. @komekn please help us with more details next time Coz sometimes, reading on google can confuse you more than make u understand some of these terms
GentRoyal: Seems they've updated their requirements I answered just 2 questions to get into the system
The good 'ol days. Funny thing was that I couldn't answer the questions that day coz of technical issues. But alhamdulila, someone already dropped right answers and options correctly here. I just clicked on them and I'm in the system. Whoever is writing the test can post screenshots of the questions here and if anyone's online should please help him/her
ugo4u: No, because it has a far reaching effect on the image of the Army and Nigeria in extension. NGOs like Amnesty int'l and other sister organisations will latch on this and begin a campaign of calumny the results might be another international sanctions or arms embargo on Nigeria similar to what happened under GEJ where equipments/weapons to prosecute the war on terrorism wasn't sold to us. The US can easily invoke the Leahy's law and place sanctions on us remember we just paid over $600m for fighter jets and other associated armaments, Uncle Sam may wake up one day and cancel all the deal citing poor human rights records and there is nothing we can do about it. I don't believe in granting terrorists and deviants Amnesty. I would have preferred they allowed him go through an accelerated judicial process, We all know that he is a daredevil criminal but the rules of engagement is sacred, what now happens to his followers or a peace deal in the future? Would criminals agree to lay down their weapons and accept alternative options to conflict resolutions? Your guess is as good as mine. This is similar to how Bokoharam started under Yusuf where the Police killed him extra Judicially and made his followers go haywire 10yrs down the line we are still fighting at a great cost to both the military and civilians alike. For Mr Tewase Akwaza he lived by the sword and has fallen by the same sword. It's a lesson to all that crime does not pay and some day everyone will get justice, it could be Civil or Jungle it doesn't matter.
That's why I hope Trump wins his reelection. Democrats are very unpredictable when it comes to international politics
Fifthwave: Pls I want to ask again. I'm actually applying for dssc. Will they find out if I use a contact lense during the eye exam? I tend to squint a little to get clearer view of very distant letters. So I want to beat the odds with a contact. Will they open my eyes to exam or just the usual Snellen chart?
Please reply. Thanks
First of all, I've never been to screening but I'll answer this on experience of others. Using contacts to scale through the exams solely depends on how discreet you go about it. Usually you're called before the chart over a distance and asked if you can see certain alphabets. You can decide to hide your contacts when ure there and only use it on the day of medical examination. The way and manner in which you go about it would determine if you'd get caught or not.
My own piece : let's desist from this habit of trying to beat the system. E get why. Above all, I wish you all the best
Do U guys think Killing of the Benue Militia leader, Mr Terwase Akwaza (aka Gana) by the Nigerian Military Was the Best Option.. (a) If Yes, why? (b) If No, Why?
Yes Just because he's a dangerous criminal shouldn't make him above the law. Besides he once repented but later reneged back to his ways, so of what reason do you want the military to believe he has truly repented? And don't forget the mayhem the bastard and his boys unleashed on innocent citizens via kidnapping. What about the killing of soldiers? I'd say he had it coming a long time. What I feel the soldiers did was trying to avoid the path of "repented bh" via rehabilitation coz let's be honest, it's a complete waste of time. You can't change a criminal mind especially a terrorist by locking em up a few months and give them lectures then you'd expect them to change. It failed in Afghan, it failed in Nigeria. Go and see what's happening in Borno with the so called repentant bh when dey came back.
I understand some people might have counter opinion and that's birthed out fear on the possible mayhem his boys would release to the society. Anybody that decides to become a terrorist deserves to die. Don't compare this to Muhammad Yusuf in 2009. He was not violent, but this guy was, at the time, he wasn't a terrorist but just troublesome and to an extent reasonable unlike his successor(s)
I'd stop here coz I feel I'm dragging this topic too much There lot's of dynamics to this thing. A terrorist can never change. Always have that at the back of you mind
