Joebie: haha.. we did what was necessary for us to start to make Owambe truly local Yes. Don't frame our need to develop as a decolonization program. Nobody's put a chain on us. I remember very well how in the 90's, our airwaves was dominated by Tu Pac, Biggie, Snoop, Dre and in the early 2000s by Nas, Ja Rule, Cisco, Usher, Craig Davids, Shawn Paul, etc. But now you hardly hear American music on the airwaves. Our music which had been developing since before Independence finally edged out foreign music. That's how to grow. |

See how Akor Adams sneaked in and claimed the role of a supporting striker. 3 games, 2 goals. And he's never invincible. He's an Eagle.
He's pushed Tolu to the bench and made us forget Dessers and the rest.
What a dream for him.
Somehow since Amokachi, Idoma people have consistently produced top players for us: Onazi Moses Simon Now Akor.
I'm from the middle belt but my ethnic group has never produced one player for Nigeria although I'm hoping that this my son who is just less than two years and is always holding ball in his hands, fit come become goalkeeper for naija ooo. 😂😂😂 |

Joebie: Bro I understand you very well. We need a good league. That will add to our GDP, and we will also have more talents remain locally. As it stands our talents jet to Europe before they turn 20 from the academies. Realistically our best players are not playing in Nigeria. Also, we have more than capable local coaches if given the chance, MONEY, and time as we usually give their foreign counterparts. both truths can coexist. We need to be decolonized. That's for sure. Decolo wetin? We never ready. When we are ready we will not talk about decolonization. Music and entertainment are thriving abi? Who decolonize us in those sectors? |

Developing local leagues is important, but having talents who excel in diaspora has the EXACT same importance. Neither is more important than the other. If you can combine the two, then even better.
Like I said before, you go explain tire. All the commentators I have watched, have mentioned that Congo's present resurgence is due to the influx of FBs into their team. |

chrisooblog: D'Law on Osayi's exclusion from tomorrow's game we are both aligned.
However I'm still on the fence about deploying Benji as a RB because I don't fully trust Ajayi in a flat back 4 set.
If I was sure we will dominate possession with minimum pressure on our defense line then I would be on board with Benji playing RB as he's solid defending and going forward. Ajayi is good for cutting off aerial supplies. |

M7even: In all sincerity Benji should hold RB, Semi should be brought back, Benji is the only one who can give those crosses from the RB position. Bright should know better his disposal is inevitable . Even when Aina returns, it will take some before he is fully fit time. Kayode is a better upgrade of them all. That Bright suffer me with his dull defending. I had to stop watching because of him. |

joelsteron: Benjamin must remain in CB on Sunday, coach shouldn't be tempted to bring on Seyi and push the latter to the RB. ABEG don't change that back four. Osayi will never repeat those silly erros that almost cost use the game.
Onyeka replaces Ndidi (Onyedika can come in to replace him)
Leave Iwobi, Lookman, Adam, Osimhen and Chukwueze as they are.
Simon Moses and Ejuke can come in 2nd half to traumatize Congo and make them regret. What do you think guys Abeg ooo. Benjamin should go play RB. Seyi is needed in the CB to deal with aerial balls from the Congolese. Has Osayi not punished you enough? You want to tempt the gods abi. Person cause PK, the gods overlook am, he deflected the ball into the net, the gods forgave him by letting us win, now you say he should play RB against a Congolese team that has a reputation for being physical and good with set pieces. ChrisKels: Onyeka was the man when Ndidi was absent at the AFCON, and so far he has been the preferred sub, so I believe he will also be the man to replace Ndidi against DRC It baffles me how from coach to coach, Onyedika gets to sit on the bench. Even when Iwobi was tired, Chelle left him. I just pray that when Onyedika gets his chance, he puts out a superb performance |

TheSuperNerd: Osasu is a journo I take seriously on fifa rules so I hope he is right.
So if indeed the playoffs yellows are counted different from the regular WCQs yellows, then thanks goodness.
Just that the rule that is available to us is the normal 2 yellow cards rule throughout a qualifying campaign or a tournament. The confusion has always been about whether cards accumulation at one stage of qualifiers carries into a fresh stage. If only the specifics of the WCQs playoffs suspension rule was laid out or made publicly available, there wont be this much confusion, hence the reference to the general suspension rule. Let it be that Ndidi doesn't play because of the yellow. I want to see Onyedika. |

Truth is that there are things coaches see, that we the fans don't see and there are things that the fans see, that the coaches don't see. |

BankyGee: I swear, that equalizer demoralize me finish, then Osimhen's miss.
But I knew they'd fight back in extra time. The fire in these boys is just growing, plus they love Éric Chelle and he loves them too. He found a way to make them play as a team and this is just the starting phase o, because we've not even blended 100% as a team. Imagine if we do. We just need two or three more players for everything to gell. Once we have that midfield bomber and co-ordinator and then the team spends time soaking Chelle's tactics in camp, I fear for what the eagles will become. |

QueenJazz: The game against DRC will be decided in the first half. If Nigeria doesn't score in the first half, omo.
DRC are a harder side to break down in their defense because they can adapt. Plus they're arguably more aggressive than Cameroon.
Also, this game is potentially the worst game Nwabali should think of trying his antics. The Congolese put a lot of pressure on the Cameroon defense with their one to one marking. Even the goalkeeper isn't left out. I know the Nigerian defense is probably more compact than Cameroon but still, we must be careful.
The clinicality we brought against Benin and against Gabon in extra time must be replicated here. This is not a game we can afford to be wasteful in.
I must be honest, for some reason I can't put my finger around, I'm waaaayyy less confident about this game than I was about Gabon. I see this being a very scrappy win for Nigeria. As good as we were against Gabon, we must step up our game. Anyhow but you see that WC, we must be there "They encouraged the followers and begged them to remain faithful. They told them, “We have to suffer a lot before we can get into God's kingdom.” Acts 14:22 |

QueenJazz: Lol. Just watched the highlights. Japan just dey dissect Ghana's back line, cutting it smoothly like hot knife through butter. That first assist made me laugh the way that Japanese player misdirected the Ghanaian defense. 😂😂
Either this Japanese team is insanely good, or the Ghana team is just piss poor. This World Cup qualification did them no favors by making them think they were hot. Thankfully, it means we'll get to watch them being manhandled on the global stage. 😃 Japan is hot. They beat Brazil with ease 3-1 last month playing breathtaking, quick, technical football. |
