elyte89: When u juxtapose d amount of chance he sees during a match created by him or assisted by someone else …he shld be scoring more in a game
Others c less chances and score more…..I don’t knw if u get d angle i am coming from ,
I have noticed dis in his game ,I have made a similar post when he first played for us…he knows aw to position himself very well to create dt chance for himself but most times he will end up losing it.he plays like d early years of higuain Okey I get. As the Coachee what is your advice to him? |

elyte89: Dessers didn’t struggle ,na invite dem no invite am
For all d 5 friendlies he has played ,he eida scores or assists…his movement off d ball and positional play to create enough chances to score is far better Dan any striker we have at the moment including osimhen… d only problem I have with him is he can miss 9 chances out of 10 .he is d least prolific and unproductive striker we have You say all the matches he's played, he has either scored or given an assist. You then ended with him being the least prolific and unproductive striker we have. Kinda contradicting |

Philosopher1979: Most of the players of the 1970 brazilian team which is one of the greatest teams in history were in south american leagues and few played in Europe. Even those that played in Europe were produced in South America and did so later on. From 1950 to 1970 Brazil dominated the world cup with players from there league. The south american league was at par with europe till the 1990's. That is when there was an increase in the rate european leagues bought south american players. Even that great 1982 Brazilian world cup team was a product of the Brazilian league. All these Zico, falcao, socrates etc.. Its just that the best South American players now go to Europe early. Even now if the best South American players dont go to Europe i dont understand how European leagues will be superior. Vinicious Junior rodrygo marqunhos etc in the sao paulo or botafogo will make them simply unbeatable to European teams. Botafago without those players can compete with european teams and now imagine them with those players. Again most of the 1978 world cup and a large part of the 1986 world cup winning argentine teams were products of their league. Even maradona played in argentina until 22. Zico of brazil came to Europe in his mid twenties. South America and Europe are the homes of football. All the other continents are trying to catch up. I just watched the clip of that fantastic goal in the 1970 world cup final between Brazil and Italy. It was beautiful. |

Moniter0: this is where Osimhen comes in then. Osimhen doesn't rely on only midfield plays to get his goals, if the midfield is not supplying, he can get goals through other ways like pressing, winning penalties, scoring from "impossible" positions etc. That's why he manages to win trophies for his club, he gets the goals out of nothing and secures maximum points even when the rest of the team is being run over. Osimhen has this die hard attitude which used to define our entire teams of the past. Now if you score Nigeria two goals, you don win. No further fighting spirit |

Goke7: He's a people person, when you consider how Lookman stole more of the highlight in Afcon than him because he scored more goals, which led to his nomination for the APOTY award, still Osihmen is himself and a team player, and to add he would have probably scored more goals if his national team mates give him more of the ball but still his commitment to the team can never be questioned. It's also a reason he rolls more with people and Nigerian celebrities, as most Nigerian players at his level will have so much hair around them to mingle freely like that, I no wan mention names, especially some previous generations of Eagles. He's fond of people. And on the pitch he's a beast |

BankyGee: According to Jose Peseiro's assistant Victor Osimhen ought to be in then EPL and be doing good things.
Per his statement, Osimhen doesn't talk much, but does his talking by scoring goals in matches.
Recounting his experience he said...🎤
“One day before the game, Victor had a bit of a fight with Emmanuel Dennis in a seven-against-seven exercise. This player was relaxing a little bit, a bit chilled. This was normal because there was a game the next day. But Victor wanted more. He was so demanding”, the coach said.
“We were a little bit surprised by his attitude. It was good. We liked it. But we thought he should calm down, maybe. The next day, he scored four goals.” They came in what was a record-breaking 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in the summer of 2023.
“After scoring his four goals, suddenly we had a penalty. Everybody expected Victor to grab the ball for the fifth. The poker. But no, Victor gave the ball to Dennis, the team-mate he had fought with the day before who had never scored for the national team.
“This is an example that tells you a lot about Victor Osimhen. Instead of having five goals, he preferred to give his team-mate his first goal. Others like to talk in the dressing room. Victor is a leader through his behaviour, through his work, through his example” I think Osimhen likes people. Likes being around people. He's socially inclined. That's why whenever he comes home, he's always goes around being with people. What matters is that he scores. Yeah |

Amedino99: footballing talent has never been hereditary. Offsprings of footballers just have the misfortune, if i can call it that, of insane expectations if they follow the path of their fathers and in some cases related family. They are always seen as an extension and not as a whole other personality. Sometimes sporting abilities flow within some families. Bergkamp for example. I watched a clip that relayed that he's Dad was an amateur footballer and his mother an athlete. Thierry Henry comes from a family of runners. The thing with this stuffs like this is that once one person from a certain lineage has reached the peak of performance in any area of life - football, music, academics, arts, etc, it is extremely rare to see someone else match up or even exceed the peak performer. |

i really blame our defense against Zimbabwe…cos from the beginning till we got our 1-0 we pinned Zimbabwe to their half… really dont know why those guys just slipped up and lost concentration in the last mins of that game to concede a goal I'm yet to recover from the defeat Zimbabwe gave us. That draw was a defeat |

TheGoodJoe: The term is, do we have a player that fits Kelechi Nwakali's profile. That is a deep lying playmaker that can defend or control the offense from deep.
We do not have someone that fits that role except Kelechi Nwakali. However, there is someone who I feel can cover for the role. That is where the replacement term comes in. I believe Onyedika can cover for that role. Can stand in gap for the likely person who naturally fits the role.
So the replacement is the profile, not in the Super Eagles. Read what you wrote "a deep lying playmaker that can defend or control the offense from deep" Can Nwakali defend? That's Oliseh you are describing not Nwakali |

Meliforme: Just stop this thing you are always doing. Do we have a profile like Kelechi Nwakali in the national team? No, we don't.
We do not, and that is the plain, honest and barefaced truth. We do not have midfielders who can play the ball like Nwakali.
It was in this forum, that I posted Kelechi Nwakali averaging at least two crosses per game. A feat that equalled that of Kelvin De Bruyne. Even our fullbacks and forwards can't do that. Let it go. Like my client said Nwakali does not fit into Chelle's philosophy. So let it go bro. |

TheGoodJoe:
I have told you the problem. It is due to deep organization of defences that caused it to look as if players today are less skillful. A hundred people regurgitating the same thing does not change the point.
Defenders today are faster.
More technically sound.
Play in a more organized manner.
More tactically sound.
Unless you are disagreeing with the variables above, my point still stands. System football as against freestyle. That's the contention. In the former players depend on the system, in the latter, players depend on their initiative. I prefer the later. |
