And GUTA is not listening to his begging or pleading because Nigeria don't do anything for Ghanaians. They're closing down the businesses. Those Ghanaian politicians are greedy and want to take advantage of your huge population which they always do. If you can't use your population, Ghana will exploit you.He has already secured for your borders to be opened for only Ghanaians. Why do you think Ghana has secured the African Free Trade Agreement Headquarters in Accra. We're ready to exploit all African markets that's why we are building factories in every districts in Ghana. Currently, industry and factories makes up 25% of our economy and Nigeria is number 4 trade partner of Ghana even in West Africa. The deputy minister doesn't know how the trade really works. He just sees your huge population and thinks it will benefit Ghana buh that's not the situation on the ground. Do you know that Nigeria has banned 43 Ghanaian products from entering into Ghana including cements, electrical cables and appliances, medicines and pharmaceuticals, etc buh Nigerians imports these same products into our country through our land borders and pays no duty on them.Your citizens will suffer attacks and nobody can help them from this week going.Make sure you don't call Ghana xenophobia when it continue
Now I know how high you are. That your Deputy Minister don't know how trade works. No wonder Ghana is really a mess due to dull brains

instead of the government to give in to the wish of GUTA who represents all Ghanaian traders to sack and ban anything Nigeria in Ghana and all Nigerian traders, they rather took a flight to Abuja to agree with your government to open the border only for Ghanaian traders and your government agreed and in two weeks time, all Ghanaian traders importing and exporting to Nigeria will resume trade buh GUTA who didn't ask for that and in fact wants your borders closed so that when they start closing down all Nigerian businesses in Ghana, nobody will shout ECOWAS has started their own attacks and closing down all your businesses.Remember this is just one town in another city called Kumasi alone.Imagine the millions of Nigerians in Accra alone being chased out of business. Ghanaian government though doesn't benefit from any meaningful Nigerian trade buh has being given the headquarters of the African Free Trade Agreement Headquarters wants calm and not to be tagged as xenophobic because your ambassador and government has accused Ghana of being xenophobic just this year in August. In trade wise,Ghana trades between Burkina Faso more than Nigeria. In fact importing your goods through our seaports is far expensive than any country in West Africa thus economically it will be highly foolish to import into Ghana then smuggle into Nigeria. Cost of living is far higher in Ghana than in any West African countries because we don't do free port system like Togo and Benin who imports cheaply and smuggles to Nigeria and Ghana. Togo has been doing similar thing to Ghana for decades buh due to our somehow efficient borders,we control such smuggling. Didn't you hear your ministers pleading with our officials that Ghana is not the target thus agreeing for the borders to be opened for only Ghanaian traders which we don't even benefit much.GUTA should be your enemies.

don't bother yourself bro.In fact,I feel very reluctant in replying their ignorant replies.I feel like they're deep in the hole of ignorance. The only thing that will force Ghana to come to the table is gold, oil and cocoa. These are our heartbeats. Trade in Ghana is mutually beneficial to both the buyer and the seller and most investors who're legally registered in Ghana are from South Africa, Europe and Asia. Our trade among Nigeria is among the lowest and even number 4 in West Africa. We trade more among Togo,Burkina Faso and Cote D'Ivoire than Nigeria. Most Nigerian traders here are highly informal and can enter and exist the economy anytime without the economy realising what's moving over there. In fact,Ghana the 7th largest purchasing power in Africa for our population and thus GUTA praying these Nigerians competing with them in Ghana should leave so that Ghanaians can control this informal retail trade. So they will not stop unless these Nigerians are frustrated and leave just as South Africans are frustrating them and other African retailers in SA.Informal trade is not even recognize and recorded so it's like a ghost trade

There are reasons for slow economy growth , And Ghana is not the only country with fast economy growth with such news now. same thing is happening to China and India as their economy growth has slowed down now. The loming trade war between US and China, The brexit deal are consider decision. nothing at all linked it to ecowas trade. Ghana at it s slowest growth is rising faster than Any country with such growth rate in africa not even ruwanda.....

Generally, this quarter consumption and demand was estimated low owing to election but situation is more pronounced than anticipated. Core sector growth for Q1 2019 is still remain at 7 % as iMF predicted.

That's why am laughing at this Chrisghyie guy ranting about Ghana economic growth at 8%. He never stopped for once to reason why it is growing at that rate.

But he shouldn't worry any longer. We all will still know very soon. Let's see how far it grows from now onwards.

It's an abomination. What you have there are half Ghanaians, half Nigerians whose parents run to Nigeria in the 70s crisis and even with them, most of them have returned back to Ghana just to survive. Ghana houses more Nigerians running into millions than any country in the world. And 99% countries in the world run budget deficits. That's why countries borrow money to decrease their deficits
And again, don't ever call me idiot again. That I am trying to help reset your brain on internet should not warrant you to call me names. I never did, so don't.

That's why I don't want to see this happen.I just narrated what GUTA wants to do and has in plans.I have many Nigerian friends and I don't wish for any trade wars. That's why our leaders always protects Nigerians in Ghana during these attacks.Kwame Nkrumah will even disown me if I call Nigerians my enemies. He spent all his life trying to unite Africa against the imperialist and I will not destroy his reputation cos Nkrumah a god in Ghana. We just want peace.Buh GUTA always hated you guys and your people in Ghana and now you people have given them the chance to start this xenophobia in Ghana and I can bet you that Ghanaians will now look on and will not even intervene again to defend Nigerians.Come and see them organising press conference to deal with Nigerians. Just this year, they started buh they were cooled off buh now due to your border closure which hardly affects Ghanaians, they are now campaigning for Ghana to ban anything Nigeria in Ghana. Our economy depends on Cocoa,Gold, tourism, timber and oil and any other thing is just minor and won't affect even 2% of the population. So tell your people to thread cautiously.
So those slowspoke GUTA now call the big shots in Ghana. What is your government doing about it.

Government is always supreme. Wait o, except your government is using GUTA as an undercover to blackmail Nigeria into opening its border.

But my friend let me tell you something. It will not work. A child I can beat very well, I don't pray to God to come and help me beat the child

Your government have failed, they should stop whatever GUTA or GUTTER is doing. When Nigerians wanted to burn the businesses of South Africans in Nigeria, our government sworn into action arresting the culprits. That's what a sane government does. But your own government is just there doing nothing. My advice to them is that they should not start what they cannot finish.

Our own government might not stop Nigerians this time around. Nana Akuffo Ado should do something about this, not sleeping when an important meeting is going on grin You know what I mean?

There is NOTHING wrong with trade! What govt is against is smuggling. What Ghana want is real trade. So the corridor should be opened.
In addition, importation of rice into Nigeria is NOT banned! If you import rice through any of the seaports, pay correct duty, you can sell your foreign rice. What govt is against is smuggling of rice into Nigeria while paying appropriate duty to Benin.
Oshiomole Should have told them importation of rice into Nigeria is not banned as long as they are willing to pay appropriate duty
