My princess arrived this afternoon 25/2/18 at about 1:30pm via VBAC weighing 3.7kg with little tear . Mummy is fine, princess (chizirimuzo) is fine and daddy is rejoicing .

my dear, na God oo, all mothers were nt allowed to even wait at d reception so we were outside, wen dey finish, dey will bring ur baby,,,, baby cried alittle sha bur he has been strong since yesterday,, i didn't cry oooo, lol, thanks for checking on us.

Wow! My parents stay that side. One day one day, we go jam. Today is even my ANC. Try and go early cause they do it before the sun becomes hot to minimize bleeding.

Please advise,
My baby isn't latching to my breast properly, but she's desperately trying to suck. The moment my nipple gets close, she starts suckinh and licking just the surface. She doesn't wait for it to enter her mouth before she closes it. Worse still, I'm not even lactating. I was hoping her sucking would pull out the milk from where its hiding. But she's not latching well. It's almost 48 hours of no food, and I'm so unhappy especially that I can't satisfy her hunger when she cries.

I've drank a lot of pap, milk, tea, so I can lactate, but nothing yet.

Also, it appears I have a large nipple, a little bigger than her lips.

Most importantly is HOW CAN I MAKE HER LATCH PROPERLY

i faced this issue last week wen i birthed my baby to d untent that i started crying nd i refused to eat, he was so hungry nd making seriius effort to suck bur my small nipples wasnt helping,, after almost 24hours after birth in dd hospital, a nurse just came and asked me if i wanted to loose my child to hunger, dat i should go nd buy NAN1 ooo, we were 2 with similar issues,, cos it was our first baby, daz how i gv it oo nd he finished it,,, bur i kept putting him to breast, 3dayz later, d story is different now, i hv forgotten where d food is sef nd we r sucking soo well now.

Better. For my 3 sons i have never entered the waiting room neither have i entered the theatre with them. My mum goes in with the baby. Mine is just to nurse him afterwards. I use UBTH and it's the plastibell type they do. All the best

not to scare u. u would cry small when u hear him crying loudly when its been done. but everything will be fine thereafter. d nurses would give u instruction on how to handle him depending on d type of circumsion done.

I really hope ooooooo...... may God give you the strength. cos wen my nephew's own was done, despite nt witnessing I almost shed tears. Then the doctor advised them to be putting olive oil on it atleast 5 times in a day and it really worked. The plastic fell in time.

He was taken from me and I was asked to wait outside. The sound of their cry isn't for the faint hearted!! I almost broke down the door and snatched my son. Immediately he came out, I breastfed him and he slept.
Be strong for him o! No go de shout for hospital like my sis.

haahahahahahhaahhaha,,,,my dear,,,, i have small hope sha coz wen we went for bcg last friday, he only cried wen dey were giving him, after dat, he didnt cry again,, no temperature running,, he jst sucked breast nd slept,, so i hv faith.

Follow your nurse's instruction carefully. Circumcision styles differ and the management differs too

When my sons own was done, it was the plastibell type. And immediately he was brought out , I wore his pampers. Was asked to just pour warm water on it when bathing him. 5days later, the plastic fell off in the pampers leaving behind a cute looking peepee.

awwwwwww,,,,sounds cute already,,, mehhnn,,,, my liver dey fail me,,, i am jst looking at him nd feeling like crying,,, God will help us oo, thanks for d response.

After my ds circumcision he was cranky so breast fed him for a while before leaving the Hosp...the nurses put his daipers back on and advised us to com back in 7dwys time if the ring hasn't fallen off by then. We were advised to bath him normally, don't apply anything at all to the ring but if u notice bleeding after that day go back to the Hosp. He wore his daiperrs all tru the 7day period...but if u wanna expose it, its all good..


On the 7th day a little part of his skin was still attached to the ring and was just dangling...so I went back and the applied GPC to the cotton wool and it eventually fell off..

P.S. just pamper him during that period and give him extra breast milk cause it could be really uncomfortable for them during that period.

Just curious.....Does rubbing orí(Shea butter) on a new born make their skin look dark?If d baby is light in complexion?

no mam,,, we r 10days today nd my baby is still oyibo,,, its even wht im rubbing too nd im getting lighter now cos pregnancy made me dark so if baby is fair, it will not darken him or her

I went for my Antenatal checkup on the 13th, my gynae asked me to go get a scan done since 2weeks before baby's weight was 2.5kg and he was quite interested in monitoring the development and since I was trying for VBAC too. I reported with the scan result and baby's weight was 3.3kg already. I told him about the pains I was feeling coupled with the contractions I was having although they weren't that strong. On checking me I knew the news were not too good and he told me he was booking me for an emergency section. I begged to be scheduled for Monday (today) since its my Hubby's birthday. He told me he couldn't risk it that my first sectioned site was already very weak and the baby's head was putting too much pressure. Truth be told I was shedding tears when the site was touched, didn't even imagine the excruciating pains was from there. He eventually booked me for 15th and asked me to come in on the evening of 14th so I can sort out my work issues and maternity leave.
Around 10pm in the evening of 13th I started having serious contractions. I couldn't mention to my husband so I could try and since I didn't want to leave for the hospital on time since I wanted labour to have reached an A-okay stage, by 2am I was literally on fire with 10mins apart contractions and the pains from the first c.s site is another story. I left for the hospital around 7.30am when I couldn't bear it any longer. On getting to the hospital I was checked and good to go but they couldn't risk it, another consultant came to check me and said the site was too weak, exactly what my gynae said, I was wheeled in for an emergency C.s while still trying to get across to my Gynae and that was how God favoured us with our bundle of joy.


So sorry for any typos and long story.

thank you, how was the pain like? I've been so worried since soonest and even Google says it's easier and more successful for experienced mums than ftm.

nothing good comes easy,, it's painful, yes bur not what you cannot handle, dat was what i kept telling myself cos i needed a relaxed and a positive mind ,,i kept saying that since pipo hv done it before, i cn do it,,. nd trust me,, u dont need all dat thinking right now because of ur pb.... wishing u success dear.

forgive my ignorance.. Induction doesn't necessarily mean CS right? You can be induced and still have VD? What's the possibility or percentage of VD over CS in induction. How painful is induction compared to spontaneous labour?

i was induced lastweek Saturday as a ftm, nd i have my baby through normal delivery... started the process at 7,15am nd i gave birth around 10mins to 2pm. so its nt in all cases u r transferred to the theater

please mamas I really need help here,I bought baby cream called 'Moore' it has the oil,Vaseline,sponge, and the cream but no soap. Though the woman I bought it from said I can leave the cream for some times and rub ori on the baby's body.please am a FTM,I need help.

im also a ftm nd my baby is a week old,, i use only ori,,, i think its d best for dem now

Our yummy, oyibo-pepper princess arrived this afternoon by 2pm via VD with tear weighing 3.7kg after a sharp sharp labour. It was indeed a 'Hebrew Women' delivery.
Baby, mummy and daddy all doing great and rejoicing. God will make it smooth and easy for all waddling mommas.

Sorry ma'am I feel your pain I think you should get a syringe(a small size like the tip of your nipple) cut the tip where the needle is inserted and use it to pull your nipple, repeat several times you will see changes and also the stem of a paw paw leaf cut a very small part that will fit perfectly on your nipple,place it on both nipple when you have your bra on, it will also do the same job,if you have a breast pump you can keep expressing but be careful when introducing bottle because nipple confusion is so real.

gudpm mamas, sorry to disturb you, im a ftm that gave birth on Saturday,, my breast milk is flowing but my nipples are very small nd inside, i hv been crying with my baby for ober 30mins now cos he cant catch d nipples nd he is hungry,,, previous days hv been better bur roday isnt working at all,, plssss helpppppp

My birth story(BS)....
wouldn't want to keep everyone waiting nd if we leave the hospital, baby and guests might not give me the time...oya straight to da tori......
Hmmmmmm,, it all started last week friday when i went for my routine antenatal clinic, i complained to doc that i wasnt feeling babys kick like before nd he asked me to do a ctg,, i did, at first, d reading wasnt good bur after much much, it was ok, he saw d result nd said d baby was ok,,, i watched closely for anoda week ie till yesterday and didnt see improvement in babys movement so wen i got to d hospital yesterday, doc said with dis my complains nd im term, he will not let me go home, i shld go for anoda scan nd do a ctg, if d ctg is good, i will b induced bur if it is not, i will go for cs,,, na so i start to shine eye ooo,, went for both nd scan detected decrease in heart rate nd movement, thank God ctg was ok but not fantastic according to him so straight up, i didnt go home again, was taken to d labour ward nd cate blabla was fixed, lol,, by 7,15am,,,i was induced nd ctg machine placed/tied on my tummy all tru and d process began....
my sisters it was not funny,, i screamed, yelled, healed nurses by d throat,,, called hubby at a point to come nd partake oo cos i cant say dis in a story form,,,i lost my voice shouting so i was now growning,,, i kept asking,wen will dis baby come out,,, pls help me,,, i started begging my child, nd God,,, finally by 1,38pm,,,my baby boy came out after so much pushing nd a little tear,,,, i was glad wen he cried very well as he came out cos he was weak,,, since then he has been sleeping,,,
pls as u read this just help me say THANk YOU GOD...
pls mamas especially February mamas,,, if u r due, d open to any option given by your doctor plsss,, we will all carry to term in Jesus mighty name, Amen....
