The space for the year is full that’s why they’ve been refusing everyone of late I guess let’s hope for a better next year brethren.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 10:04pm On Nov 21, 2019
If your sponsor has a company of his, you should use the company letterheaded paper. If otherwise use plain white paper.

For the IMM5475, you do not need to fill it unless you’ve got someone you want to be a 2nd access to your application.

Success GLASSES.
Glasses1:
Hello house, I am submitting my application soon, I want to ask if it is a must that the sponsorship letter must be on a letterhead paper? Does it have any advantage? Also, is the IMM5475 Authority to release personal info to a designated individual compulsory?... Thanks in advance for your inputs

ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT INITIATIVE

Just a word of advice for the newcomers on this forum the Atlantic immigration pilot system is designed to lure immigrants to the Atlantic region of Canada so as to curb overpopulation, bring expertise to the province and many more. My advice is if you're looking for schools and want to maybe improve your Chances then consider getting admissions in provinces like New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

This is beneficial especially for immigrants with a lot of work experience which will make the transition to PR smooth.

P.S: This is just a word of advice and the new Immigration minister Marco Mendicino as highlighted the continuous support of the Canadian Government to drive more immigrants to that region.

Universities and Colleges(Atlantic Region)

Acadia University
Atlantic School of Theology
Cape Breton University
Dalhousie University
Mount Saint Vincent University
St. Francis Xavier University
Saint Mary’s University etc...

This are just some of the DLI Institutions to consider

Hello @halifaxguy can we talk via email
My email address is: adelekedairo@yahoo.com
Halifaxguy:
Many Canadian universities and colleges accept Neco. But you have to provide a scratch card.

I graduated from Memorial university of Newfoundland and I do remember using my Neco SSCE for the admission process.

I’m sorry to hear about your denial but do not relent and tackle the reason for denial as soon as possible but before then, defer your admission to the coming semester.

The question is do you work?
Biot34:
Good day I was denied a Canada study visa based on this reason
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation

You just made my mind at rest now, Thank God. Safe ticket.

Naijaforeigner:
Hello sir, the introduction part in the sponsorship letter was just an example. You can start your letter whichever way you feel is the best.

So that your mind will be at peace, I just looked through my sponsorship letter which I submitted last year and I did not start my letter that way. I got my visa.

There is nothing to worry about. Your application has been submitted and all you should focus on now is prayers. Almighty God will perfect the outcome of your application.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 12:21pm On Nov 12, 2019
Talking about the sponsorship letter, my uncle only stated the subheading to be LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP FOR MY NEPHEW then my NAME.

The the introduction part, he wrote : I, his name do hereby write in favor of My name. He did not mention where he made promise to my parents, he just noted that I’m an orphan.

But for my other uncle, he did mention all this points you highlighted.

Is it still okay, cause I have already submitted my application
Naijaforeigner:
You are in a school environment so I suggest you take advantage of that opportunity. Make sure your friends that are lecturers proof read your letters and give suggestions before submitting your application.

Letter of sponsorship from your Uncle

His story should start from how he is related to you and how he made a promise to your late dad to give you the best education because bla bla…….(This should be emotional, touchy, if possible, make the VO cry grin). He (your uncle) has demonstrated this by supporting you through high school and university (attach proof of 1 or 2 payments of fees while in Uni).

Also, uncle should please include the benefit of sending you abroad to his business. He should also state in his letter how much he is committing to your studies (please mention the exact amount). He should also mention that your upkeep will not affect his business and he has demonstrated his commitment by transferring xyz amount to your account. I suggest he transfers some funds to your account or he pays your tuition fee (please check school refund policy)

P.s there is no need mentioning how many wives your dad had and how they took care of other kids and all that.

Your LOE

Make sure there is a flow from the first paragraph to the last and you are specific on how your present job or future goals influenced your choice of this program and how the program will benefit you in the short and long term (short and long term goals should be linked to Nigeria). Please mention at least one of the courses in your program and explain what you will learn from that course and how the skills acquired will help in fulfilling your goals.

"My current job as an adviser with xyz company and my short term goal of going back to Nigeria to oversee my family business reinforced my interests in PGD Business administration. I believe studying at graduate level for this program will give me the relevant knowledge which will be helpful in contributing my xyz .. to the company. One of the courses in the program is distribution management. This course will give me the skills to.... xyz is particularly important because my family business plans on expanding its base to other locations and xyz….."

The above is just an example to serve as a guide.

Alternatively, you can speak about your current job role, the gaps you have identified and how the program will help solve those gaps.

IMM form

Please fill this form carefully. The part that says tuition, boarding and total funds available for stay should be filled correctly. p.s The total funds available for stay is not the account balance in the SOA. Make sure the total funds available for stay is the same amount your uncle stated in his letter above.

Uploading documents online

Make sure you do not over compress your documents. It is important that you make sure the documents will be visible enough for the visa officer.

- Please assume the visa officer knows nothing. I strongly advise that you prepare a table showing how much your uncle has in his account, how much of that amount he is willing to commit to your studies in naira and the equivalent in dollars. Please mention the site you used for conversion below the table. You can use Oanda.

- Also, for every information you include in your LOE or sponsorship letter, please attach proofs.

- Please make sure your paragraphs are not too long, preferably 10 -12 lines.

- This is my opinion.
sponsorship letter - 2 pages
LOE - 2 pages. I am a big fan of less is more.

I feel sleepy already. The gurus will add the rest. I wish you all the best.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 9:21am On Nov 07, 2019
For the second 2nd time as in?
mcobex:
Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to view application, but if you get a medical call/pass from CIC it means your application is almost ready to be approved. Though CIC will still carry out further investigation regarding your funds (for the 2nd time). If you don't have issues with your fund then you are ALMOST certain to get an approval.
Good luck
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 7:53pm On Nov 06, 2019
@stevenssen is absolutely correct, I ask the same questions couple of months ago.

LOE- Letter of Explanation:

Simple to explain to the (VO) that you’ve tackled the reasons for your initial refusals and explaining how you tackled them with evidences in your documents submitted/submitting.

SOP - Statement of Purpose:

It’s not talks about your intention, your educational background, reasons why you going to Canada, why you chose Canada Instead of your home country or other countries, why you chose your course etc.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by MUN19: 1:06pm On Nov 05, 2019
Sorry sir. Thanks for your piece of information/advice.
#GODS PLAN
SOPWRITER1:
As much as I consider your posts thoughtful, I am sorry to denote they are intrinsic from your unrealistic point of view.

Nevertheless, you asked a question. ("person wey ask questions no dey miss road." ) To address your Inquisition, the CIC is responsible for the allocation of each application to a particular processing center, not the applicant. Alternatively, you might want to consider applying offshore, you might be able to effectively execute your thoughts.

When is your resumption date?
It’s not to late for filing another application but I will advise you to defer to the follow session because it’s might take you time to treat your refusal reasons. But first, was the basis of your denial?

I think your sponsor has to be a family memeber.
But in your case he/she can but you will have to explain why, what you did to deserve he/she to sponsor you.
