EducationRe: Demons In St Clairs Anglican Girls Grammar School, Offa Forced School's Closure by Munamu: 9:11pm On May 29, 2021
queenjoseph:
They should not have evacuated the students.

Don't they know that even demons are afraid of humans, the same way human are afraid of demons?

If they had stood and confronted the demons, the demons would have fled.

It is only when people show fear that the demons would be bold to attack.

But if you stand your ground, they will flee.

They are God's creatures just like humans and God did not give them any authority over human beings.

Even angels who are higher in power than humans cannot so much as lord it over humans, because God does not give them such authority.

So anytime you hear the voice of a demon,go out and attack it,or better still, just ignore, and go about your business without fear.

There is one that use to pass in an area every night.

One day, one man challenged it, flashed light on it, and saw that it had a face without eyes, mouth or nose.

The demon stopped passing that area from that time on.

When I was about 9 years, one demon use to pass in my area every night, after midnight.

One night, because of a problem with my mother, I decided to sleep outside in protest. I stayed near the road and the demon was passing.

One of my neighbors who had light on,immediately switched off the light in fear and everywhere was totally silent.

I just shun it.

After it passed, one of my neighbors switched on his light and few people started talking about it.

But even as a little girl,I was not afraid.

We must be bold, because nothing can hurt us.
I bow for u ooooo!

PoliticsRe: They Should Let Us Breathe - By Femi Adesina by Munamu: 9:52pm On May 25, 2021
presidency:
Don’t asphyxiate us, let us breathe. Remove your knees from the neck of Nigeria, and let the country be. What do we owe you, that you make it seem we must never have peace?

That was the sum total of the caution given early this week by the Department of State Services (DSS) on the state of the nation. Nigeria is currently undergoing severe security challenges, but rather than team up with government and security agencies to find solutions, some past and present political leaders, disgruntled religious leaders, and ethnic champions are in cahoots, to exacerbate the situation. They are plotting to hold conferences, which would pass vote of no confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari, a man they so much love to hate.

These agent provocateurs were the first to sow the seed of evil, disharmony and suspicion in the country, through the war of tongues they have deployed against the government of the day for many years. In their estimation, nothing good is happening in the country, except killings and bloodshed. And the only way out, in their narrow minds, is a removal of the constitutional order.

Now, how do you achieve such in a democracy, without subverting the very essence of democracy itself, and throwing the country into a tailspin? They do not bother, neither do they care. All they want is to get the man they do not want to see out of power. They have deployed everything against him: evil speaking, hate speech, misinformation, disinformation, bile, malignancy, and more. In the build up to the 2019 elections, they banded together, endorsed a candidate, whom they were already calling ‘My President’ before the polls. But what did we see? They were beaten black and blue, as Nigerians opted for a man they could trust.

What they lost through the ballot box, they have been plotting to get through the back door. Bad-mouth the man, paint him black, portray him as incompetent, and turn the people against him. And they have found a smokescreen in the security challenges the country is facing. They have crept under it, to show their hidden, hostile hands.

Incidentally, while combating insecurity, and myriads of other challenges, President Buhari is making conquests on other fronts, particularly infrastructure. Roads, bridges, rail network, airports, gas pipelines, other massive projects are ongoing. And they are telling themselves: unless we stop this man, he will still become the authentic Nigerian hero. So they are throwing everything against him, including the kitchen sink.

There is one funny fellow at the National Assembly, who is always using foul words against the leadership of the country. The more uncouth the words from him, the happier he seems to be. He has, to a large extent, poisoned the minds of people in his region of the country against the government. Evil words inexorably germinate, and bear bitter seeds.

It was ironic to see the fellow this week talk of massive insecurity in the land, poor state of the economy, and alleged stifling of voices of dissent. This was a character who stood surety for an insurrectionist who then jumped bail. The government has not put the man in the slammers, where he rightly belongs, and he has the temerity to talk of stifling of voices of dissent in the land. Good grief!

He talked of utilizing all constitutional means to do the needful against the government of the day. Well, every butterfly fancies itself a bird, and the fact that the mangrove tree lives inside the river does not make it a crocodile. Talk is cheap, and dreams cost nothing. The intention of that fellow, and his co-travelers is not really about now. What they are playing is the politics of power grab in 2023, thinking they should muddy the waters before then, as much as possible. When the lobster walks on mud, it stirs it up for everybody. The welfare and well being of the country and its peoples do not matter.

The disgruntled, caterwauling religious and political leaders are working towards a vote of no confidence in the President. After that, what next? The DSS has indicated support for a united, indivisible Nigeria, stressing that government can only be changed through the electoral process. The military has equally done same, saying it is committed to the present Administration and democratic institutions in the land. Good.

The military went further: “The current security challenges are not insurmountable. The Armed Forces in partnership with other security agencies are working assiduously to ameliorate the challenges. Nigeria will know peace again.”

Amen and amen. I can hear you say. This land will know peace again. And yes, this is where those past and present political leaders, religious figures, and chieftains of ethnic groups should have positioned. Instead of shenanigans to pass yeye votes of no confidence in a President doing his level best for the country, they should align with the military in the conviction that “Nigeria shall know peace again.” True, the security challenges are troubling and daunting, but they are not insurmountable. And Nigeria shall win.

These political, religious and ethnic leaders should please get their knees off the necks of Nigerians, and they should let us breathe. They have arrogated too much influence and authority to themselves, while not knowing that they are mere paper tigers. Nigeria is bigger than them, and the country will survive. As I often say, this country is like the testicles of a ram, which gyrates from side to side, as the animal runs. However fast the speed of the ram, have you ever seen the testicles fall off? Or when a woman runs, and holds her breasts, is it for fear that those tender parts will fall off? It never happens.

No matter what they do or say, irrespective of their machinations, Nigeria will survive. And peace, flowing like a river, shall return to this land.

PoliticsRe: Gov. Ayade’s Defection: Why APC Must Not Celebrate Yet by Munamu: 4:28pm On May 20, 2021
akpanoka:
This afternoon, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade defected to the ruling APC. The move which took place in the Calabar, the state capital, was witnessed by some prominent members of the APC including Buni, Fayemi, Uzodinma and Silva, the Minister of State Petroleum. Meanwhile, his defection did not come as a surprise as he has been severally accused of hobnobbing with the APC. Recently, he threatened to leave the party, alleging that he was being unjustly treated by the PDP. Today, the APC celebrates his defection. But does the man have any electoral or financial value? Certainly not.

Gov. Ayade’s travail became pronounce when he failed to deliver during the ward and Local Government Congresses. Stakeholders in the party allegedly saw him as a monumental failure and decided to rescue the party. It was gathered that he could not even produce ward and LGA EXCOs in Obudu LGA, where he hails from. His attempt to arm-twist the party leadership to nullify the congress failed. The matter became worse when the Supreme Court validated the outcome of the congress, leaving him politically stranded. The Umbrella was taken away from him.

The leadership of the party delayed the state congress with a view to finding a soft landing for him, but that didn’t work. I must observe that the young man is the architect of his political misfortune. He reportedly handed over the administration of the state to his brother FRANK. It is on record that his brother singlehandedly installed all the eighteen LG Chairmen without usual consultation or primaries. Even in LGA where prominent party leaders exist, they were not consulted. In most cases, decisions of party caucuses were jettisoned. Why won’t they gang up against him?

The last episode was the northern senatorial district bye-election. Note that Ayade had represented the District before becoming a governor. His candidate was overwhelmingly rejected. The appeal court affirmed one J Agom, a House of Reps Member as winner of the Primaries, a decision that was subsequently upheld by the Supreme Court. Why he has not been sworn in by the Senate would become clearer in the coming days. But why would a Governor not be able to produce a senator in his own district?
The answer is simple. HIS SCORE CARD. When a sitting Governor fails to woo the electorates to vote for his candidate, then he has apparently been rejected by his own people. It is clear that a relatively unknown young man pursued him out of PDP. If he can’t deliver a Senatorial District, what value would he then add to his new group? Financially the state is broke. All the English-coated budgets since inception of his administration have not been fulfilled. All signature projects abandoned. Existing roads that were assisting motorists have been destroyed and the hope of new ones almost dashed. The truth is Cross Rivers is suffering. LGA Chairmen are lamenting. Councilors are crying. Calabar that use to be one of the most beautiful cities is now a shadow of itself.

APC has work to do, if Cross River must truly become its state. The party must assist him to deliver. Well, since it is a party of the progressives, maybe he would learn how progressive policies are formulated and implemented. But for now, a Governor that can deliver five LGAs cannot bring anything to the table.

Nigeria is not at peace, this one is still talking about APC and PDP.

The Senator made some very good points. The amount paid as ransom to kidnappers is highly exorbitant. This has led many into kidnapping because they see it as a very profitable venture.

Yes, Islam is only religion in Nigeria with it's own constitional laws. A state has it's own powers to have their laws too. If a state decides to have Sharee'ah as thier law then so be it. River State Goevernor once said the state is a Christian state and no Muslim argued with him. Let them bring their Christian laws to rule themselves.

No argument Oga, but let the shariah be strictly practised amongst Muslim adherents.
The religious orientation of non Muslims must be respected. This way the country can integrate and move forward. Section 1 of 1999 constitution says the constitution is supreme to any law in the land . the practice of shariah as it is done in Saudi can hardly be implemented in Nigeria, because even the core North is made up of non negligible xtian population . If the tenets of shariah had been strictly followed since introduced Northern Nigeria should have been more developed by now. But what do we have? Hypocrites here and there. Leaders will don't drink intoxicants, but they themselves drink the choicest of wine and beer. The impose shariah on poor Muslims, just to subdue them.
So you mean Jigawa should reject the VAT? Was the VAT specifically from Alcohol?

The VAT is a general pool of resources which can't be differentiated. No one can certainly say the portion given to someone is the one from alcohol. And the legislature should make the law to deduct the earnings from intoxicants before the sharing. I won't ask you if the gift you are giving me was from stolen money or from Alcohol sales.

PoliticsRe: Akinwunmi Adesina, 2023: We Want Yoruba Muslim As President - MURIC To Obasanjo by Munamu: 11:01am On May 11, 2021
oilPUSSY:
The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has said the next Yoruba presidential candidate should be a Muslim in the interest of fairness, justice and equity.

MURIC made the call amid rumours that former President Olusegun Obasanjo was trying to draft the current President of the African Development Bank, ADB, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, into the 2023 presidential race.

The Muslim human rights organisation based its stand on the fact that while three Yoruba Christians have occupied Aso Rock villa, no single Yoruba Muslim has held the post of president or Vice President since independence.

MURIC stated this in a statement signed by its Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, Director and forwarded to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

According to MURIC: “Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo is reportedly making attempts to draft the current president of the African Development Bank (ADB), Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, into the 2023 presidential race. We object to this move. Obasanjo wants to waste all the efforts put in place by the Nigerian government to get Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina to that continental position.

“We remind the former president that as a Yoruba Christian, he has led Nigeria twice. He spent 3 years and 258 days as a military head of state (1976 – 1979) and another 8 years as a civilian president (1999 – 2007). Two other Yoruba Christians have also occupied Aso Rock. Chief Earnest Adegunle Oladeinde Shonekan was the interim head of state from 26th August 1993 to 17th November, 1993. The current vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, is also a Yoruba Christian.

“Obasanjo’s attempt to drag Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina who is also a Yoruba Christian into the presidential race negates the principles of fairness, justice and equity. It is an attempt to rob Yoruba Muslims of the presidential slot and it violates a cardinal principle of democracy, namely, inclusiveness.

“It is an open secret that Yoruba Muslims who form the majority of the population in the South West are being denied their Allah-given fundamental human rights. This has led to complaints and court cases initiated by Muslims across Yorubaland over political and religious persecution. Yoruba Muslims are at the receiving end of deprivation of civil liberties. It is our contention that another Yoruba Christian presidency will usher in another opportunity for Christian hegemony and the marginalisation, stigmatisation, repression and persecution of Yoruba Muslims.

“Let Obasanjo tell us how many Yoruba Muslims were ministers in his administration. Even in Kwara State which is also a predominantly Muslim territory, Obasanjo picked two Christians as ministers (C. O. Adebayo and Funke Doyin). But he could not extend such ‘luxury’ to Yoruba Muslims in the South West.

“MURIC rejects this grand design to keep Muslims in Yorubaland in perpetual bondage. There are many Yoruba Muslims who are eminently qualified for the post of president. We also believe that the interest of the Yoruba people will be best served if they will channel their grievances towards ensuring that a Yoruba man emerges president instead of pursuing a separatist agenda that may lead them nowhere.

“We advise ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo to relax his grip on the Nigerian jugular vein. He should stop pushing Yoruba Muslims to the background. Christians are not the only human beings in Yorubaland. Fair sharing spreads goodwill. Monopoly generates rancour and ill-feeling. There is no true democracy where there is no inclusiveness. The political party does not matter to us. What is important is that the next Yoruba presidential ticket must go to a Yoruba Muslim in the name of fairness, justice and equity

The OP is typical example of people with gabage brain. How can u use or compare El Rufai with Northerners' culture, I challenge the OP if he can see a single poster, billboard or anything outside Kaduna that show Wl Rufai has political base in any Northern states. Yardua is the most loved President in the entire North; PMB failed woefully 2003 & 2007 in Katsina because of Yar'adua's influence to the extent that PMB's party under both APP, ANPP and CPC never won even Chairmanship seat in his home town Daura.
Between 2003 to 20011 when PMB failed elections serially in the whole North-West only 2 states were ruled under his party, it got worst when only Nasarawa won under CPC in 2011 election.
Only idiot, who have a gabage bin in their chest can link PMB and El Rufai as being religious. PMB is neither affiliated to any religious group nor having any concern for religious activities which nobody can prove with all their conspiracies.
El Rufai destroyed many mosques in Abuja when he's FCT minister and planted flowers, Muslims cursed him and he always mock them by blasphemously saying ur curse will amount to nothing. Again nobody can trace affiliation of El Rufai to any religious activities, he's not interested at all.
Those animals who always bring religion into the affairs of PMB and El Rufai are jsut doing it out of extreme ignorance & politicking.
Yaradua is very religious, God fearing than PMB, the latter only got the mammoth support of Northerners for his exceptional & commendable work under PTF. The easiest way to deceive voters in the North is by "feigning integrity". Northerners tell very bad story of PMB's leadership under military but his PTF work ecliped those allegations which most youth didn't witness.
Is it not obvious how some group of people attack others for being religious while their religious jingoism is recently evident in Enugu Governorship election campaign?
All the hatred against North and PMB is emanated from religious houses and pulpits, the unguarded hate utterances that always spread like wildfire on Nairaland are commonly linked to some group of people and it's religiously motivated.
What they're told in their religious congregations is so absurd that they every week dwell on the matter of others, their gullible followers are every day being feed with hatred rather than preaching good cause!
U can't be so daft! Google various utterances of PMB during the years he was seeking votes to be elected . have you forgotten when he said xtians should vote for xtians, and Muslims should vote for Muslims. In 2003 during the clash BTW fulanis and Yoruba in Oyo,pmb who was the Fulani representative asked the governor that" why are your people killing my people ".

Back to the topic. State of emergency will not solve anything. Rather the legislatures are the main problem and they should start weighing their options. Which are as follows:

1. Either create state police or

2. allow citizens protect themselves by allowing those above 18years move with AK 47 or

3. Allow the private securities move with AK47 or
4. Legalise social security and other benefits to the unemployed etc. or
5. Totally scrap this constitution and write a new one. or

6. start making arrangements for peacefully dividing the country etc
