Nigeria’s history from independence in 1960 and its democratic experience since the Second Republic cannot be a complete discourse without x-raying the stabilising roles played by vice presidents since 1979 when Nigeria embraced the Presidential System of government.

For the benefit of hindsight, the vice presidents that have so far served under democratically elected presidents since 1979 were: Alex Ekwueme, under President Shehu Shagari; Atiku Abubakar, under President Olusegun Obasanjo, and Goodluck Jonathan, under Umaru Yar’ Adua.

Namadi Sambo, served under Goodluck Jonathan, and Yemi Osinbajo, the 5th democratically elected Vice President, is currently serving under President Muhammadu Buhari.

By most accounts, from 1979 until date, no other vice president seemed to have had a more genial working relationship with his principal than Osinbajo.

The relationship between the duo, observers say, has remained unacerbic and free of turbulence; they say the conviviality is impressive in spite insinuations.

Osinbajo has been critically acclaimed by perceptive stakeholders as not only outstanding, but the best of vice presidents Nigeria ever had.

Born March 8, 1957 in Lagos, Osinbajo attended the Igbobi College, Lagos, University of Lagos, from 1975 to 1978, and London School of Economics and Political Science.

He was Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State from 1999 until 2007.

Osinbajo, a professor of law at the University of Lagos for many years; was also a Senior Partner with Simmons Cooper Partners, a commercial law practice firm.

In 2015 presidential election, he was President Buhari’s running mate and was inaugurated as Nigeria’s vice president, on May 29, 2015.

On Feb. 23, Osinbajo and President Buhari were reelected for a second term in office.

He is also a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Osinbajo and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo have three children.

Under Osinbajo’s helmsmanship, the National Economic Council (NEC) has passed 173 resolutions in 38 meetings.

The resolutions are inter alia: The approval of 650 million dollars seed funding as the Federal Government established Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, Community Policing, the National Transformation Livestock Plan, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) clinics to help MSME with loans, materials and to improve ease of doing business.

Notable Nigerians have acknowledged Osinbajo’s outstanding performance as vice president.

Of note, President Buhari himself, while congratulating Osinbajo on his 62nd birthday on behalf of his family and the Federal Executive Council, described him as a “very dependable deputy with whom I share a very special bond.’’

Buhari noted that Osinbajo had in the past four years diligently championed the values of setting the foundation for the peace, progress, and stability of Nigeria by working very hard to build a resilient economy, while promoting transparency and accountability.

The president said that he looked forward to sharing many special moments of celebration with Osinbajo as they took the nation to the next level in the years ahead.

Emir of Daura, Kastina State, Alhaji Umar Farouk, when he received Osinbajo in his palace, spoke glowingly of him and described the vice president as a typical example of loyalty and trustworthiness in politics.

The traditional ruler appreciated Osinbajo for being supportive of President Buhari, a son of the emirate.

“I can assure you that all of us here, myself and my subjects; we are fully and solidly behind you and in support of you.

“We are happy with you and we are particularly proud of the way you have supported our son, Buhari, in leading our country Nigeria to prosperity.

“That explains why when you talk about loyalty and trustworthiness among the political class; you stand as an example worthy of note.

“I wish that you carry on with this level of trustworthiness and continue to uphold the confidence that our son has in you.

“I can assure you that our son has enormous trust in you, I want you to continue to justify that confidence he reposed in you,” he said.

The monarch said that the nation had never had such a government where the president and his vice operated under such high level of mutual respect and understanding.

Sharing similar sentiment, the Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, Eze Samuel Ohiri, described Osinbajo as one of the best vice presidents Nigeria ever had.

Ohiri said that the vice president had creditably acquitted himself in the way he piloted the affairs of the country any time President Buhari was not in the country.

“I want to thank you, especially for the way you held forth for Mr President the last time he stepped out of the country.

“The way you conducted the affairs of the country; people are talking about you in the world.

“Unarguably, you are one of the best vice presidents we ever had,’’ he said.

Sen. Kabiru Gaya (APC-Kano South), also described Osinbajo as a humble man, a great leader and a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“First of all, I came here to congratulate our boss, our brother, vice president, a humble man, a pastor, a great leader, a close associate of President Buhari who the president is very pleased with, to congratulate him for this reelection,’’ he said.

What’s more, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman, Kebbi Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, lauded the vice president for his exemplary leadership style and for his loyalty to President Buhari.

“I love the way you managed the country when the President was away. I love how you go around the country trying to make peace.

“Kebbi is the 24th state you have taken the MSMEs clinic; we thank you for the great work of prosperity you are doing all over,” he said.

More recently, President Buhari, again, acknowledged the diligence of the vice president, especially in driving Federal Government’s Social Investment Programmes (SIPs).

Buhari said that the programmes, like TraderMoni, MarketMoni, National School Feeding Programme and other SIPs had reduced poverty and out-of-school pupils in Nigeria.

The president said that whenever he drove around the country, he got upset by the state of poor people.

“You see young people, the almajiris with torn clothes and plastic bowls. They are looking basically for what to eat.

“So, I welcome the vice president’s initiative on feeding in schools. If you check in some of the communities the attendance in schools has improved because a lot of children can get at least one good meal a day.

“This MarketMoni, I have warned the vice president that I don’t want him to be mobbed. The way women in the markets move to welcome him.

“These are very good initiatives, I must admit that they endeared many people to our government. The free meals, the N5,000 (Conditional Cash Transfer), N10,000, (TraderMoni) are fantastic programmes and they have been very successful,” he said.

Osinbajo, himself, has repeatedly expressed and demonstrated his belief and commitment to an indivisible, indestructible and progressive Nigeria.

Delivering the Eighth Convocation Lecture of the Osun State University recently in Osogbo, he reiterated his conviction that Nigeria would succeed as her success is key to Africa’s development.

Osinbajo spoke on the topic, “Six Decades of Chequered Nationhood: Nigeria Still Holds the Key to Africa’s Development.”

The vice president expressed optimism that Nigeria would achieve its potential.

“This country is bound to succeed; we will get there.

“Our founding fathers were all right, even though they had not even then seen Nigeria’s true potential.

“And indeed as Nigeria grows, so does Africa.

“It is not true that our diversity is an impediment to our sustainability; our strength is in our size.

“Great nations are those that stay together in spite their diversity,’’ he said.

As Nigeria marks 59 years of nationhood, `unity in diversity’ which Osinbajo has spiritedly canvassed, should be the watchword.

TIMI FRANK’S TISSUE OF LIES
RE-Osinbajo in trouble over N90billion FIRS election fund – Timi Frank

The attention of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, has been
drawn to publication in some online and daily newspapers by a certain
Comrade Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of
the All Progressives Congress (APC), who claimed that the FIRS
supported the`APC, through the  Vice President Yemi Osinbajo with a
phantom N90 billion.

The FIRS wishes to state as follows:

1.      That  the entire allegation being spread by one Frank  Timi  that
the  Federal
          Inland Revenue Service spent N90billion to fund the last election is
          mendacious, wicked, malicious and a calculated attempt to
smear the image
          of the Service and that of his Excellency, the Vice
President, Prof. Yemi
          Osinbajo. This campaign of calumny and villifying false claims are
          entirely, libellous, unfounded in fact, irresponsible and a
brazen assault
          on the integrity of the Service as a responsible and accountable
organisation and demonstrates an abysmal ignorance of the budgetary
and expenditure process of the FIRS.

2.      That in the last four years since Mr. Tunde Fowler has supervised
operations at the FIRS, the agency had not received  up to N100
billion, per annum,  as Cost of Collection from the Federation
Accounts Allocation Committee, FAAC. FAAC is a public institution,
whose records are open to the public.
3.      That it is from the remittances from FAAC—which had never grossed
up to N100 billion, PER ANNUM, that FIRS pays the salary and
emoluments and trains it’s over 8000 staff, runs over 150 offices and
provides for other needs of the Service.
4.      That given the above, IT IS NOT PLAUSIBLE nor DOES IT MAKE ANY
SENSE that FIRS will commit its resources to a phantom campaign of N90
billion as suggested by Mr. Timi Frank and FIRS does not fund
political associations.
5.      That FIRS is a creation of statute and its activities are governed
by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and financials
regulations and thus, IT IS NOT PLAUSIBLE, that its funds could be
expended in such a cavalier manner as suggested by Mr. Timi Frank.
6.      That FIRS Budget and expenditure approval processes pass through
the Budget Office and the Ministry of Finance, before such are
presented to the National Assembly for Appropriation into Law. The
National Assembly committees, consisting of all parties and
inclinations exercise oversight function on all agencies of the
Federal Government to ensure agencies keep to the letters of the
Appropriation Act. Thus FIRS’ operations are subjected to
Scrutiny and close monitoring by the National Assembly, the Federation
Accounts Allocation Committee and the Ministry of Finance.

7.      It is therefore unthinkable, malicious and irresponsible for the
said Frank to insinuate or infer that N90 billion or any part thereof
could be spent illegally and without budgetary approval.


8.      It is equally alarming to note that this injurious falsehood and
blackmail could find space in our mass media without proper scrutiny
particularly with the availability of the Freedom of Information Act,
which broadly allows Nigerians access to information on expenditure of
public funds by government agencies. This all goes to show an
orchestrated and invidious decision by paid agents to discredit the
Service in order to achieve their diabolical ends, which is at
variance from the interest of Nigerians.

9.      We ask members of the public to ignore the claims of Mr. Timi
Frank, with the ignominy it deserves as the former  Deputy National
Publicity Secretary of the APC is seeking for cheap popularity and
relevance.


10.     It is in the light of the foregoing observations, the FIRS
demands an unequivocal apology from the said Mr. Timi Frank and a
well
publicised public apology in three major and leading newspapers within
the    next 24 hours. The FIRS shall pursue claims for aggravated
damages in libel and injurious falsehood against the said Mr. Frank if
he fails to meet these conditions in the next 24 hours.

11.      This invidious publication is targeted as  derailing the revenue
generation efforts for  the three  tiers of government in the nation.
This is calculated economic sabotage and hereby referred to the Office
of the Attorney General of the Federation  officially.


12.     We finally wish to assure all Nigerians that the FIRS did not spend and
           could not have spent taxpayers money for political ends.
For the avoidance
           of doubt, every kobo paid by taxpayers goes straight to the
Federation
           Account domiciled at the Central Bank of Nigeria and that
the FIRS does not possess the constitutional right to touch the said
account or appropriate any kobo there from to itself.

The FIRS wishes to reassure members of the public that the FIRS is a
PUBLIC TRUST, which the agency operates on behalf of Nigerians.
Taxpayers money-including the operational funds of the Service- are
sacred.  FIRS remains committed to public accountability and
transparency in the sacred mandate of tax collection and public
expenditure.

Since Atiku is not coming, the only thing left is mischief. This one is dead on arrival.

Fellow Nigerians, please allow me to quickly apologise for not concluding the series I started last week on the importance of celebrity journalism, the basis of my Fellowship at The African Studies Centre, University of Oxford. The reason for this change of plan must be pretty obvious, and predictable. A subject of pressing, and urgent, importance, and necessity, has presented itself. And it has to do with the systematic and instalmental, harassment, intimidation, degradation and denudation of our dear beloved Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. He is being shorn of most of his statutory and constitutional powers with veiled and unsubstantiated insinuations that he has not been following due process when he clearly has been doing a stickler for such due process. Such inferences are at best rich when one considers that we are talking about a Presidency in which the President is famed for delegating powers and trying not to engage as demonstrated by the much publicised stripping of his constitutional powers in favour of a Chief of Staff who has no constitutional or statutory governmental authority. The contradiction and irony are stark and makes a mockery of what is being done. The situation is aptly captured by the Yorubas when they say, “ejo l’owo ninu” (the snake has hands in its stomach)! There is certainly more to the recent events than meets the eye!
Let the dramatis personae deny there is nothing of such and claim this is only a figment of our fertile imagination, or even call it a false alarm, or whatever nomenclature catches their fancy. However, no matter the denials, what is unfolding, before our very eyes is more than a storm in a teacup. It is a stuff of a multi-billion-dollar box office thriller and the suspenseful drama and twists would make Alfred Hitchcock green with envy. Not even Samuel Beckett could have scripted this sort of absurdist drama.
We can now start from the beginning, if you like, call it genesis. A cerebral technocrat, thoroughbred professional, a teacher who is an accomplished Professor of Law for that matter, and a preacher of values and morals as a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to boot, Yemi Osinbajo, was selected by retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari as Vice Presidential candidate sometime in 2014. The selection was applauded by many onlookers as a counterbalance to a Presidential candidate who was accused, and being pummelled, for not possessing the minimum educational requirement for the job applied, and also as a reassurance to those who regarded the APC candidate as a Muslim fundamentalist. Beyond religion, Osinbajo also represented a much younger segment of our society who saw Buhari as being too old, too conservative, too out of tune with modern trends and much more. Osinbajo was thus a seemingly perfect choice, and those of us who were Buharists, once upon a time, rejoiced and dreamt of a new Nigeria, clothed in tranquillity and unity. How wrong we were. Little did we realise that this was not a one-part story but one of which we were only seeing the prequel, without the benefit that there would be a sequel and possibly even a serialisation! We foolishly thought that this was a story that could not have a Part 2.
Please, let’s move forward, slowly and steadily. Osinbajo soon threw himself into his assignment and campaigned much more than any deputy would be expected to do. It was a forerunner of what we wished for and hoped would occur when eventually their team won the election. He crisscrossed Nigeria and navigated his ways across the seas, to far flung places, preaching the gospel of Saint Buhari and the good news of his imminent kingdom. Osinbajo is not just a lawyer and preacher, he is an orator, and he sold his boss to the world at a premium. They won the 2015 Presidential election and we were mostly thankful to God that we had succeeded in getting rid of the profligate and pernicious PDP behemoth, after 16 years.
The duo was elected and President Buhari made it clear that he had put his trust and faith in his able lieutenant and Vice President, Professor Osinbajo. He quickly made him the head of his economic team, and Osinbajo did the rest. He quietly and unassumingly took charge without seeking to upstage his boss, the President. He was a deputy who knew his place and although a little-known cabal at the time was hurling brickbats at him behind the scene, he handled all with his unusual equanimity and charm. I am sure that his famed tolerance and rectitude comes from the fantastic combination of lawyer, teacher and priest.
Man proposes but God disposes. Like all mortals, especially at that advance age, President Buhari took Ill. The sickness was so massive and scary that we nearly had another Umaru Yar’Adua situation on our hands. It will be recalled that Yar’Adua was the penultimate President before Buhari, and he had died in office, in 2010, before the expiration of his first term. His Vice President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, had to complete that term before seeking and winning his own full term. Had anything happened to Buhari then, God forbid, Pastor Professor Osinbajo, constitutionally, would have stepped in, gingerly, to claim power as President and Commander-in-Chief. But, God so loved Buhari, and as he acknowledged himself, the prayers of Nigerians, and their intercession, intervened on his behalf, and healed him greatly.
It was during that interlude in governance that mutual mistrust and distrust which had been germinating for some time began to spring to the surface. Some members of the President’s inner caucus who were not used to taking orders from anyone suddenly found themselves reporting to one man with what they called “avuncular attitude”. They were angry and livid, but according to James Hadley Chase in his book titled, “The Vulture is a Patient Bird” they waited quietly. Osinbajo took decisions that they considered inimical to their interests, but they kept their arms akimbo knowing that their time would come, and they would bare their fangs. Their ire and fury were greatly stoked by the success and popularity that Osinbajo was attracting, without realising that the ultimate beneficiary was a government which had previously been seen as slow, inept and incapable.
Slowly, but surely, the fake news started spreading, clandestinely, that he wanted Buhari dead. The conspiracy theory was rife, but subdued. Osinbajo’s cardinal sin was committed and his fate probably sealed the day he summarily sacked the Director General of the Department of State Security, Lawan Daura, after the invasion of the National Assembly by hooded and gun-toting secret agents. Osinbajo had denied approving such dare-devilry by the executive against the legislature and till this day no one has owned up to what nearly became a coup against the legislative tier of government. Daura was seen as a sacred cow with friends in the ruling cabal, but Osinbajo by a masterstroke had him smitten and the head of one of the gargoyles had been severed by one deft blow! He would not be forgiven and plot after plot were conceived but could not be carried out before the election as Osinbajo was the Joker in the pack, the face of the Buhari Presidency!
Permit me to interject that Osinbajo actually brought stability to the nation by reaching out to every nook and cranny, cementing bonds of friendship across party lines. He visited the Niger-Delta and was able to put a stop to the militancy that was once again threatening to engulf that region of our country. In doing so he improved our economic fortunes by ensuring an increase in production of our main income earner, crude oil. In addition, he brought greater positive image to the Buhari government. Many silently prayed Buhari would give him more responsibilities, and a freer hand to handle the complexities of Nigeria. Again, we were wrong. Any respite for Osinbajo was actually simply for the purpose of navigating the electoral quagmire that the Buhari Presidency had found itself in.
Going back to our narrative, mercifully, Buhari returned after a miraculous rejuvenation. If his mind had been poisoned against his deputy, his straight poker face betrayed nothing. They continued to work harmoniously, at least, in public. As noted, Osinbajo became even more visible, and voluble, as their second term election drew nearer. Osinbajo became their star actor and harbinger of Tradermoni, a popular moniker for feverish distribution of cash in strategic locations, such as markets and similar trading places, for the emancipation of impoverished majority, which traducers suggested was nothing more than an act preparatory to buying votes. Osinbajo took all the savage attacks for Buhari in his stride. He calmly and eloquently defused and debunked all the sordid allegations of incompetence, inability and incapability levelled at his principal. His energy was extraordinary. He did house to house, and door to door campaigns. He made town hall meetings popular and the people trooped out to see and discuss the nation with him. The use of the hustings as the primary focus of the politician to rabble rouse and appeal to voters became a less favourable option as Osinbajo demonstrated that it was important to feel the pulse of the people by personal engagement. He even cheated death on two occasions the second being in Kogi State, after his chopper spectacularly crashed in a haze of dust, but thankfully, not in a burst of flames and everyone onboard survived without as much as a scratch. It was obvious that this was an anointed man of God and that God was with him and his house.
Elections came and APC candidate Buhari was declared victorious. I congratulated them, as normal Democrats would. When there were compelling reasons to do so shortly afterwards, I admonished the APC by adding the proviso that the Party should not over-rejoice but offer an olive branch to the supposed losers.
In a succinct letter I penned to Professor Osinbajo, I took time to explain how to restore sanity to the polity. My letter was misconstrued and instantly rebuffed as an attempt to divide the “one indivisible Presidency…” I was brutally attacked by some people in the office of the Vice President, but I understood their predicament. They were jittery about how the hawks would view my innocuous intervention and genuine intentions. I read panic in their response to me. But I knew today will come, eventually, like it has.
I’m a good student of Nigeria’s political history and trajectory. I’m familiar with the African mythology that witches don’t forgive. What is worse, witches don’t spare anyone, they eat and devour their own children, when in need of flesh. Osinbajo is the latest victim in the vicious cycle of power games in our country. He is being stripped of the last vestiges of relevance and importance, as typified by how the appurtenances of his relatively powerful office have been whittled down and almost totally degraded. His enemies are working overtime and overdrive by spreading spiteful rumours about one of the finest gentlemen in government. He may not be perfect, but Prof is a good man who loves his job and respects his boss, without doubt.
There are already speculations that all the theatre and spectacle that we are witnessing is a prelude to a more devastating attack. The aim is to try and make his position so tenuous untenable that he is forced to resign. If he does not bite the bullet or fall on his sword, my understanding is that he will be pushed. My candid advice and word of caution to the President is that he should resist such temptation. He should not listen to those who do not have any patriotic bone in their body. They are selfish, fearful and also weak. In Osinbajo they see their nemesis. He is everything that they are not. He has achieved outstanding and amazing success in every sphere that he has touched. He is a teacher of international renown and repute, a foremost legal mind, a pastor of great intellect, compassion and suasion. Worse still for them, he has come to their turf and shone as bright as the stars of the constellation to become a consummate politician.
If this game that we are all witnessing is all about who becomes what in 2023, it is complete balderdash. The reason I say so is very simple. Only God gives fortune and power. And only God can take it. No matter how hard man may try, he can never be God, he can only play God. With time such actor will see that he is nothing more than that thespian who must quit the stage at some time or the other. On the other hand, the consecrated vicegerent of God can never be too much honoured and adored. At my age, I have known and met enough men and women of power. Many of them are alive and must be wondering what the fuss was all about in those years gone by. APC has butchered some of its finest people. Do they need more to prove their virility? They should spare Nigeria this endless charade.
Let it be on record that I pleaded.

Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN is set to embark on a State visit to Akwa Ibom to represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the 32nd Anniversary of the state’s creation.

According to the programme released by the 32nd Anniversary Planning Committee, “Prof. Osinbajo will participate in some of the activities lined up for the event, including the commissioning of some projects today and a 32nd Anniversary Church Service at the Uyo Stadium, on Sunday.

Earlier in the month at a thanksgiving, Gov. Emmanuel disclosed that the President (who would now be represented by the Vice president), would be commissioning certain projects by the administration.

Some of the projects to be commissioned include: the kings flour mill and the plywood industries: Other activities scheduled for the event include the Anniversary Banquet to be held at the Government House in Uyo.

Akwa Ibom State was created on September 23, 1987 by the Gen. Ibrahim Babangida regime.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has again stated the conviction that Nigeria has great hopes towards development and its development is key for Africa.

Prof Osinbajo said this while delivering the 8th Convocation Lecture of the Osun State University this morning in Oshogbo.

According to the Vice President "my message to you today is that there is hope. This country is bound to succeed. We will get there.

"Our founding fathers were all right even though they had not even then seen Nigeria’s true potential Nigeria. And  indeed as Nigeria goes so  does Africa."

The VP is speaking on topic: "Six Decades of Chequered Nationhood: Nigeria Still Holds Key to Africa's Development."

Up until yesterday, I respected Punch newspaper as a reliable source for good news but now, I know better. That Punch newspaper still has readers on and offline because most of them don’t know them. It’s understandable that one man’s food is another man’s poison but I want to believe that Punch newspaper would be poison to everyone soon.

The way the churn out FAKE NEWS baffles me. I believe strongly that they are in a silent competition with SaharaReporters and even DailyPost for who will turn out the most fakes news on a weekly basis. If I see any news or any headline in Punch or via their social media channels because I never click their links anymore, I will have to do my own finding because chances are that it is completely fake.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against Punch newspaper at all, in fact they used to be the leading source for genuine news in the past but not anymore in my books.

Why am I writing this? On Friday, in Ekiti, I was in attendance at the funeral service of Mrs. Moroluke Fakoyede, the mother of the Secretary to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede.

The VP who spoke largely in Yoruba barely talked about politics because it was a funeral and not a government engagement but when Punch was going to report the story, I almost fainted. Their headline read, “It is not true that Buhari doesn’t know how to govern – Osinbajo”.

Not only was the headline false, the content of the report was completely different from the headline. If I was not at that funeral, I would have believed this report. I posted the link in a WhatsApp group and called out my journalist friends in the group, that was when other fake news particularly about the VP surfaced.

SaharaReporters led the way and they were closely followed by Punch, both of whom joined others in publishing “Buhari will take 10m Nigerians out of poverty in 10 years – Osinbajo” even though the man said 100million Nigerians.

I really wonder what they stand to gain in disseminating fake news. My own is to warn Nigerians to be wary of these platforms.

For instance, Afenifere, a group of hungry old men who claim that they speak for Yorubas find in Punch a partner in crime. Punch newspaper are always willing to publish such stories. Ironically, both Punch and Afenifere work against the Yoruba interest. (That’s my take).

Well, I wish them and their ardent readers, the very best. I don’t intend to dissuade people from reading Punch, I only want them to have an open mind and also verify the story.

Nigeria will be a better place if all tiers and level of government do their jobs excellently.
The reason we are where we are today is because we focus on just the federal government and leave out other levels like the states and local government.
Nigeria will be great but we must start holding our leaders accountable.
